It's still there you just have to lunge now; so it's back to the way it used to be.
I think they changed it because it was way too easy to just walk on the hay and make the window useless.

Had a survivor standing on the hay self caring. Had to lung onto the bale to get them.

No you can still just walk onto it as killer.

I tried a bunch in KYF but was never able to walk on it as it kept bouncing me off. I must have been hitting it at a bad angle or something then.

I managed to just walk onto it without lunging my first time. You just have to walk off at the right height and angle but it's much harder.

No, you're flat out wrong. Killers and EVEN survivors can walk onto it with no speed boosts. (for survivors it's extremely hard and inconsistent, but doable)

The most consistent way to do it now is to walk ontop of it, but as soon as you make contact with the hay lunge, since without you get bounced off most of the time. This way you can hit them with only one lunge, instead of lunging ontop of it and then having to hit them, giving them time to escape.
