When will the Trapper get a much needed rework ?
You shouldn't have to travel the entire map to stock up on your traps and lose 2 gens in the process.
the traps are too easy to spot and counter, probably the easiest killer perk to counter in the game.
If you're not playing against new players you can pretty much guarantee you're not going to get any kills.
unless you spawn well in an area you can trap quickly you might as well quit the game against good players as again, by the time you move to a good area to trap/collect your traps you will be 2 gens down.
trap bags, I don't think there is any other killer in the game that completely depend on an item like the trapper bag, maybe he could start with 2 traps ?.
before the biased comes in, there is a reason that he's one of the lowest used killers at high level with one of the lowest kills per game.

Trapper is one of the Killers who would be better with just a few Tweaks. He does not need a Rework.
Nobody knows why Trapper cannot start with more Traps, it is actually insane that he by base has to set a Trap before picking up a Trap.
IMO, it would already help to:
- either let him start with all of his Traps (5) and let the Bag Add Ons increase the number or
- let him start with at least two Traps (with the option to get a third one, basically the yellow Bag Basekit) and the rest of the Traps are on the ground, but more to the center of the Map
Version 1 would be better, because it would eliminate the Map Travel for picking up his power completely and would also not give away who the Killer is right at the start of the game. Version 2 would also be a big improvement, especially when the Traps spawn more to the center, because it is simply annoying to see a Trap lying in some Corner and you have to decide to play with 1 less Trap or have to go all the way to get it (most likely the first option).
I guess one of those would make Trapper so much better. At least he would get two Add On Slots to use.

@Aven_Fallen Let him start with two, then put the rest into either chests or lockers, so he can reload.

i understand they have to be careful because they could get trappers just camping from the start but something has to be done. I love Trapper but its infuriating losing the game without getting many downs because i've had to travel the map for all the traps.
maybe start with 2 or 3 traps and be able to pick up a 4th. He's too dependant on his items

Let him start with 2, and place the rest at random, just like now, but in a set-mode

Let him start with 5 like the huntress, and have stocking bags thoughout the maps or get them from lockers just like the huntress, and the bag addone to just increase the number of traps he starts with 1 extra(6)2(7)3(8).There is no other way to make trapper viable.

Nice joke.

Starting with all of his traps would make him overpowered, plain simple. He is in a good spot right now, all he needs is maybe +1 extra trap to start with and he would definitly be a viable killer.

+1 trap to start and carry would be great, then you would not have to always eat up an add-on slot to get it.
Trapper is a dog right now. You can spend 1-2 gens setting up, and even if you are hugging your traps, people can still get out in less than 2 seconds. You need dark traps to put them anywhere that's not a bush or some cheese terrain, and you need killer traps to make them reliably worth the time it takes to set them up.
I always use the basement with this guy, because it's not worth ~2 gens for your traps to get you a regular hook.

Trapper could use some love. He's already had an add on rework and he can finally rearm traps without picking them up but that's not enough. His biggest weakness is the time it takes him to get all his traps to setup. Corrupt Intervention was probably made for him. Sure it's a plague perk but how many times has a perk come out and it was great on a killer it didn't come with? What really hurts trapper is the biggest advantage survivors get. Headsets. Yes, not all survivors are swf but a lot are. #@$% the charts because I don't think they are accurate. One person see's you plant a trap then everyone knows where it is.
Another issue with traps is most are obvious. There's very few places you can set a trap that will catch someone if they run through it but it's either in plain sight that they can see it or it's a window and people know to check it. There's plenty of tall grass around loops. Against good trappers I am paranoid about grass. I can see if a trap is under a pallet. I can't see it in grass. Unless your running a bloody coil there is literally no danger for disarming a trap.

he's in a good spot right now ? he's awful he's one of the worst killers and is even less effective against good survivors. He's got one of the lowest kills per game for a reason and i hardly ever if ever see him at red rank.

I think clown needs a rework Just like leatherface more then trapper.

Honestly all three are probably about a similar caliber, leather face probably slightly higher among the three. Considering trappers basement is his strongest feature bubba is better in both chases and camping his ass off.

his kit by itself is fine, i enjoy how he plays with his traps as he's more of a defensive killer. What he needs is a buff too his base kit. personally I want him too have all his traps. Other trap based killers like Hag and Freddy already do, so I don't understand why he still hasn't gotten this as well.

Now that i think about it. I think the core of the game needs to be changed for these killers to be effective. They take too much time to own people that gens fly against survivors who arent potatoes.

He got one of the lowest amount of kills per game? From where do you have these new informations? From the only info we got so far from the devs, the trapper is above average in terms of killrate.
Same with popularity. He is overall the most popular killer and on red ranks he is the 6th most popular killer. At least this is what we got from devs. Like i said, if you have anything new to this, let us know.

Agreed. Trapper could easily become too oppressive to be fun to play against if they aren't careful. I agree Trapper needs buffs, but he should stay a killer which requires more thought and planning than others.
