Are huntresses suddenly boosted?
I don't know if it's just my experience currently, but there's been an increase in Huntress players and all of them seem incapable of playing Huntress.
Just to give some perspective, we were on lampkin lane, and the whole survivor team except one was standing on this 'balcony' platform in one of the houses. This balcony was in front of the house with a doorway onto this platform, and had a generator on it. The three of us alternated between working on the generator whilst the others dodged the hatchets that were being thrown by the reluctant (?) huntress, who preferred to stand in front of the house and throw them at us instead of just coming up and smacking us. The other survivor was sat behind her, just clicking his flashlight whilst he waited for her to turn around, and the only moment she turned around was to go get more hatchets and even then, she ignored his existence.
It was a funny game, but most of my huntress games have had the same sentiment.
Was there some form of shadow buff to huntress for the sudden inclination to play huntress? because im confused lol

I think they where just memeing, but who knows, it's hard to tell. It most likely was just her messing around though.

She's in the tome. Hit with x number of hatchets, chase with her perks, ect. A lot of people playing huntress for tomes and it takes a lot of work to be a good huntress. She's far from a pickup and play character so people like me who don't play her don't go in for a serious match because we know we won't win. We may as well use the time for a bit of target practice.

She's actually bugged, and still not receiving Deviousness points for Hatchet throws.
I'm shocked people are playing her though. =/

I haven't looked at the killer side as I tend to go down the survivor route, but even so, personally, if a challenge is featuring a killer that I am not confident in, i would probably skip that challenge?
idk, im not complaining too much, it makes for funny games except i don't get to benefit from these games anymore because I can't even pip in rank 1 :/

Between bloodpoints, lore, and rift progression people have a lot of reasons to try it. Not sure you can even skip some of them, would have to double check the order. Still just throwing off the need to win to dick around and have fun for a game doing whatever is a small price to pay for a bunch of nice things ain't it?

I don't mind losing pip just to do a challenge on the killer side, I usually try my best but I did the huntress challenge with only 1 perk you can get out that went but I also understand the people that don't want to get destroyed.
On a side note it made me realize that the huntress is fun to play.

This is such a positive an upbeat post, I love it. And I agree! Unlocking Rift rewards is worth looking silly in some games and trying out a new Killer. This is a game that has a lot of variety, people should not feel punished or be afraid of losing by trying out new things! ^_^
Also, on the topic of Huntress. I don't know if they added more to her song or I've just been a potato at listening to her all of this time, but now instead of just humming she does some 'la la la's and laughs? I love it! ^_^ It makes her all the more spooky!

I mean, they have to, for the Archives. So most likely a lot of people who have never or rarely played Huntress before are now playing her, while people who are playing her on a regular basis (and are good with her) are not playing her because of the missing Deviousness Points.
Both results in an increase of bad Huntress Players.

Each time i'm about to play huntress, I need to hire a good lawyer for all the property damage i'm about to cause.

I am one of those incapable of playing Huntress. I suck at her, but have to use her for The Rift challenges. XD

In fairness the current rift challenge for her is fairly easy. Just hit three people with a hatchet.

I've been getting a lot of 4K's with my Huntress lately so maybe you just went against a person who A. wanted a challenge or B. doesn't have much experience playing as her.

What happened to me was, i went against a huntress, and she had bad aim. Since it sucks to play just for the rift, i thought i help her out and give her a headstart by letting me hit her...She did hit me with hatchets, downed me, hooked me, and ...camped me till i was dead.
Yeah, thats something i wont do again.
