New player, DLC perks question.

Hello,

Is it possible to get a perk in your bloodweb that has not been bought in either the shrine or through the DLC character?

For example my friend said he received 'windows of opportunity' in bloodweb, he has not bought Kate or bought the perk from the shrine.

Is it possible to get character RNG perks in the bloodweb.

    No, it's not possible.

    If you want to havr windows of opportunity, you either have to buy kate and level her or buy it from the shrine of secrets

    Maybe your friend bought the Perk before in the Shrine? It is currently in the Shrine, but buying (or getting it via levelling Kate) would not remove the possibility to gain it via the Shrine for extra Bloodpoints.

    So he most likely bought the Perk at some point in the past.

    The only ways to unlock a perk for everyone is to either purchase the perk on the Shrine of Secrets, or get the character to level 30/35/40 and take the teachable, rather than the other perk(s) within a bloodweb.


    IF your friend has gotten Windows of Opportunity without buying it in a Shrine or Kate, then that's either one hell of a glitch, he'd forgot that he bought it, or he's lying.

    Thank you for the replies.

    So I guess I will have to buy Kate then =)

    Anyway we both only got the game last week, so maybe he's pulling a fast one over me but I saw he had it equipped in his perk menu. Wasted so much bloodpoints trying to get that perk LOL.

    Kate's other perks are better anyway. Windows is a decent tutorial perk, but I'm currently running a build with Dance with Me, Quick & Quiet (Meg) and Lithe (Feng Min).

    Windows is ok with this build to help you locate them, but using another perk and just setting yourself up can be better. Not to mention as well that Kate is one of the better looking survivors in the game.

    If your friend did get Windows in his bloodweb without buying Kate or the perk itself from the Shrine, that's a bug. I would encourage him to report it in the Bug Reporting section on the forums (https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bug-reports) so that the devs can get it patched.
