How often do you slug for the 4K?
I usually leave it up to the game if the last survivor gets hatch or if it’s been a fun match I’ll just go make some food or something after I kill the 3rd survivor. But if it’s been stressful and a toxic swf or something then yes, I’m getting that 4K.

If I have an idea of where the last survivor is, I’ll slug. If I have no clue where they are, or the hatch is right beside me, I’ll hook the downed survivor.

usually only when i know where the last one is - or when i really want them dead for some reason (OoO for example).

Never
It's boring as a survivor to have it happen so I'm not going to do it when I'm the killer. If I know where the hatch is, awesome, I'll wander over to close it now. If I don't and the survivor finds it first, so be it.
Unless I take the person down and I can literally see the 4th survivor, I'm not going to slug

I'm with tippy2k2, never.
I have in the past, but that was before I really played any survivor. Plus I have 4kd so many times now, who really cares if you beat me to the hatch. 3k is a win.
I rarely even close the hatch anymore. If I find you and get you, gg, if you get the hatch, gg.

On the rare occasions I play killer, I don't, but that's because I can never find downed people.
I understand there are times to slug for it, but most of the time when it happens to me I bleed out because the person is either getting chased or hiding.

I do it:
- when I see the 4th survivor immediately;
- when a challenge requires a 4k;
- when the the 4th survivor has been toxic. In that case I'm inclined to give the hatch to the slug.
Otherwise, I don't bother. Sweating to 4k by denying the hatch doesn't validate me in any way. Of course, I've got nothing against those who do, unless they slug repeatedly and still can't catch them both. In that case, learn when to let go.

If I feel like it, I guess?
Nothing wrong with getting the 4K if you earned it. No one is entitled to escape, and besides...I sure as hell never see a survivor at the exit gate giving me a free kill if everyone else escaped. So I don't know why they have such a persistent expectation that killers always give them the hatch.

1/10 matches, probably even less. I just don't like it as survivor, so i don't do it as killer.
1 -
If I see the last survivor or if they make a sound notification right as I down the penultimate survivor.
Beyond that I personally simply can't be bothered, I'd much rather get in a fresh game as soon as possible.

This is my logic as well. I dont want to waste time looking for the last person. A few extra BPs aint worth the loss of BPs from another game.
Also it's boring to be slugged for the 4k why would I do it to someone if I hate it.

I do it if the other survivor is in sight.

- No hook around the 3rd Survivors (happens at least once a week), sometimes I have to slug 2nd & 3rd Survivors because the 1st one already die at the same corner, totally no hook.
- 4th Survivor on sight when the 3rd downed
0 -
Rarely. I don't care if the last guy gets the hatch most of the time.

If I can see the 4th survivor when I down the 3rd, I'll chase for a bit, but I won't commit too long to it sometimes. Then I go searching for the hatch/for the survivor. If I find the survivor before the hatch, I might give it to them (but not if they start struggling). If I find the hatch first, I close it and go for the 4k. But it's very rare I actually end up slugging for that 4k. Usually just happens if I think the slug might have DS and need to wait it out a little. (I don't intentionally go for the unhooked, but sometimes unhookers just disappear??? Like... where do they go.... And I just swing at whoever's there.)

I barely slug, generally I'll do it depending the situatiaon, in example If I want to kill that one instead of the third survivor. I had a match like that, a Claudette that barely did something, she rescued but when there was a David (that David took protection hits and fixed gens ) that needed to be healed she ran in the opposite direction (perhaps she knew where the hatch were) so I hooked the Claudette and I let go the David. When I saw the ranks the Claudette was a 7 and the David a 19. I felt happy when he escaped because he played very fine even though he was new, and he was new because he didn't know how to loop and had problems with skillchecks.

If tryhard swf ill 4k, i usually dont bother slugging at all throughout the game or anything but the SWF are usually the toxic people who say GG EZ even though they had 2 gens left and the last guy got hatch. like yeah real easy to only escape because i let you. but honestly the 4k doesnt bother me i just wanna play the game without people being toxic, you get hatch or played well and beat me thats cool but dont go being a dic about it yano?

Lots of respectful comments.
But tell that to this Legion player I went against the other day. Extended the match by 10+ minutes just to get his little 4K. After my teammate picked me up from being slugged the 3rd time, I just gave up and stood there until he got what he wanted. So petty.

Everyday if you want the 4k and the survivors arent babies

Pretty much of the same mindset as you. If they deserve to be slugged I'm doing it, but if it's a chill game and people aren't being jerks I'll let em just have the hatch, even if I catch them.

I never slug. But I also do not really want to have a 4k.
I am ok with it, if I had fun in the chases, or could down one particular annoying survivor. In games where I dominate, I usually let the last 1 go. So I will anyways get my 4k not because of this very reason^^.

Yes
- If I feel l earned it
- If i don't want a particular survivor to escape
- If I know where they roughly are
- If I need another bbq stack
- If I want more points
No
- If I know where the hatch is
- If I had an enjoyable, non toxic game

Never.

I'm gonna slug if i play 1 shot killers. If not, i'll depip (Especially plague)
0 -
Rarely. Only 2 times do I slug.
- If the match was particularly intense and my competitive spirit is on full blast
- If the survivor(s) have been toxic and I want them to lose
0 -
Only if I know exactly where the last survivor is, like they run infront of me before i down or they fail a check or whatever, 4Ks are so overrated and the game is a huge boring mess if 4Ks are all you care about, I still mostly 4K because killer isn't at all hard anymore but i often let survivors escape and what not because I don't need to kill everyone to boost my ego.

Never understood the wiggle logic. If I want to give the hatch, I give it. If I don't, I won't. Their wiggling means nothing for me.
0 -
If I don’t know where the hatch is or the last survivor is I won’t slug, if it’s a sweaty SWF I’ll go the extra mile to make sure none of them will get out. IDC if it takes an extra 10 minutes

If i down the second to last person in a game and I see/hear the last person near by, i'm coming after you. If I don't see/ hear you, I'll hook the survivor i just downed.
0 -
Typically I only do it if I know where the last guy is. If I see the last survivor/ see their aura/ hear them ect...I'll chase em. Apart from that, i'll look around the general area for afew seconds (which is a good habit to have anyway due to flashlights) and then hook the slug. If they get the save, game on... If they dont, i try to find hatch to close it first. If they get hatch before I do... Its whatever at this point. I might judge the guy abit if he LET his teammate die on hook, but I'm not gonna make a big deal about not getting a 4k.

Rarely because I just can't be arsed for it. If I happen to see the other person right after downing the other one, i'll go for it. Not really a fan of dragging the match out.

If the survivors look like slugs and act like slugs, its not my place to tell them what they aren't. I simply help them along their journey of self discovery.

Maybe it's a power thing, but I want to like actually give it to them, not have them get it because they wiggled off my shoulder. If the survivor starts wiggling, I'll stop walking and shake my head. I'd say 9/10 times, the survivor gets it and stops wiggling. I give them the hatch. But if I do this and they continue to struggle, I just get annoyed that they're not accepting my mercy and I kill them. 🤷
I do the same as a survivor. Sometimes I just give up, but other times I'll wiggle, and if the killer shakes their head at me, I stop. I've gotten the hatch almost every time this way. Except for if it's a Trapper. Every Trapper that has done this has brought me to the hatch then hooked me near it and shut it in my face. 😂

why not slug they dont care about killers fun

They might have no idea what the conventional meaning is. Not every one lurks the forum. Power? I don't fancy power tripping over a video game. Accepting mercy... C'mon now.

I only slug in end game when I am clearly behind and need that slug game going to slow the survivors down and forcing them to stop fixing gens and come help their teammates, sometimes that just ends up resulting in 4k because the survivors fail to heal full or stay hidden.

When it comes to the last 2 survivors then I only slug if the other one is in line of sight or if I hear them around me otherwise I much rather just hook the 3rd and hunt for the other while looking for hatch
The only other time I would slug is if I down someone and there was someone else with them that I can at least hit once, in which case I decide if I keep going after the one that is running or if I go back for the downed one depending if I had recently hooked the downed one
Honestly the need that some people have to always get the 4k is really stupid, plus the whole if they are swf group reason that some give is also really stupid. I mean what's so bad about wanting to play with your friends? Also obviously that a swf group is gonna be really tough to beat, I mean they are better coordinated and usually they are really good at the more risky aspects of the gameplay because they know that their team has their backs, so slugging them just because of the fact that they wanted to play together is just stupid

Basically only when I see the 4th Survivor when I down Number 3 or when I 100% want the 4th Survivor dead (for sandbagging his Teammates, doing unsafe Hook Rescues, being a dick...).

Never.

For me it's actually because I don't find it fun to do it as killer anyway.
I'd much rather make the game end faster and get into a new game. Sometimes I get them, sometimes they get hatch - either way I get what I want 😄

Nearly 100% of the time. I like to 4k.

Never. Unless they run at me with a flashlight or something similarly stupid.
If they get a hatch escape, then fine. They earned it. I basically got a 4k then anyway. And with my personal playstyle, I probably got Merciless anyway.
I'll slug tactically in game, especially someone with an RBT or who got unhooked 30 seconds earlier. Not to avoid DS, but because they're generally not my target and it's like giving them a second chance.

Never because I don't need to. The most slugging I do is for blood warden to proc or someone getting unhooked during end game and they've been a twat all game so they're not leaving.
But personally I don't need the 4K. I double pip just fine without it.
