How do you handle being unhooked Infront of the killer?

It has happened to me a fair few times and other survivors in the same game as me. A survivor unhooking you right Infront of the killer as soon as you've been hooked. More often than not the killer will down me right away and hook me again and the same process will repeat meaning a quick game for me, and probably the others in that game. Do you as another survivor try to help, stay clear of them, DC, or even as killer do you go for the person who was hooked or the one unhooking?

I don't play much as killer myself, but when I do I will only down an already hooked survivor until I have booked someone different, I don't expect the same when playing survivor, just curious as to what others do.

If Borrowed Time, I try to tank the hit, if not, I sandbag whoever saved me to farm me in hope they get downed for farming me but also just to save my own ass.

As killer I try my best to hit the rescuer, unless I know they have DS then sadly their teammate is gonna have to take the fall.

There should really be a refuse unhook system if the killers within a certain meter radius and the survivor isnt running bt (aka you dont get the option to if the killers to far away or the persons running bt) lowers abuse and farming. Oh your gonna be a jerk and unhook me right infront of the killer? Denied and if the killer was expecting the unhook the guy could just run away. And with the radius at least you get a little chance to run depending on the radius.

I hate being farmed so I will throw the game at that point unless it was a borrowed time save.

As killer if someone starts doing dirty crap like that I go after the farmer.

The other solution, honestly, might just be to backload all the unhook points to the "Safe Unhook" event and not the initial unhooking. Because it sure always seems like survivors are mad thirsty for those +1000 BP.

If they farm me without borrowed time I get the killer to down me. They ain’t getting the safe unhook or WGLF stack from me.

As killer, I like to keep pressure so I'll still at least knock the person that got unhooked down. Also, hitting them after they get unhooked is a way to check for Borrowed Time. If the unhooker doesn't have it, and I know they were just unhooking in my face for the sake of doing it, I'll tunnel them to death and teach them not to do it again.

As survivor though, I just let it happen. I'll just take my hands off the keyboard and watch a video for a couple minutes, because I don't really feel like playing a game where I'm facing more than one killer at once.

I hit the unhooker and then depending on which one is easiest to get to at that point i will go after.

Pray the killer goes for the idiot and that the killer only slugs me. I'll crawl my ass to the other side of the map if possible.

This except I will be verbally cursing out the guy who unhooked me. I know they can't actually hear me but I like to imagine they can FEEL my cursing them out...

If the unhooker has borrowed, I'll attempt to tank.

If he doesn't and I get downed immediately, I'll scream internally.

If the killer picks me up and I didn't equip DS, I'll scream externally.

Unfortunately a lot of the time the killer will down and rehook me and sometimes just wait for the other survivor to unhook me again. I blame the other survivor more than the killer, who's being offered the chance to get a survivor dead early on with minimum effort but killers who join in with that can't really complain about DS, which I guess I'm stuck with using in solo instead of a more interesting perk.

Depends on the circumstance. If it was not necessary to unhook me in front of the killer but they do so anyway and do not have borrowed time I will run right to the killer to make sure they lose points for an unsafe hook.

As killer I will down the person who got unhooked and then completely ignore them and go after the farmer. If there is ever a moment for mercy like the hatch, I'll give it to the person who got farmed while making sure the farmer dies 100%. Other than that, I try to keep track of who it was that farmed and prioritize them for the rest of the match.

When it happens to me as survivor, I'll stop doing anything to save that person. I won't sandbag them, but I'll leave em to rot on the hook/floor/wherever. If it comes down to just the two of us alive and theyre just waiting for me to die so they can try for a hatch, THEN i'll be happy to let them die. It's not sandbagging if they've already made it very clear they're trying to get you killed at that point.

That said, if it was BT, then i'll tank the hit for them because it's how BT is supposed to be used in the first place.

I hate people who rush me with the killer behind them. If they have BT, then I might forgive them, but if they bring a bubba back to hook without... after they are the ones that baited me out to being on the hook in the first place? Yeah, no mercy on them in the future.

Well I'd hope they have borrowed time so my ass doesn't get tunnelled to the ground and I can actually resume playing the videogame. If not then it's all good I'll just afk until I get hooked again. Unless it looks like we can still win, then I might carry on playing but usually it's quite obvious early on when you know you're gonna lose.

    *see teammate running to me*

    Me: "Yes! Save me!"

*see the same teammate being chased by killer*

Me:"Oh, hell no. You better have BT!"

    *teammate goes and unhooks me*

    Me:"BT???!!!!"

    *gets unhooked with no BT*

    Me:"......" *Demonic Screech*

As Killer, I go for the person doing the unsafe off-hook, as the hooked person has absolutely no control.

As a survivor, there's little you can do. I will try and off-hook with BT if I think it's the safer option, since I run it all the time.
