Your Longest Game?
So last night I had a game on Legion (literally my second(?) game, had only one perk and no addons) last night against a SWF that was just steamrolling me. I figured I had to try something, so when there were four gens left, I kinda "herded" them to the most distant one and then didn't chase them off of it, leaving three extremely defensible gens remaining. Figured it was my only hope since I was being outclassed so badly.
That game...It. Lasted. Forever. They were constantly trying to bait me to chase someone halfway across the map, I was constantly pushing them off gens. I could get a ton of hits but no downs with the power, they would always have two people heal up whoever I hit while the fourth tried to get a gen. And so it went.
Finally I broke the stalemate by - sad as it was - slugging one of them, carrying him to one of the gens, and forcing him to bleed out. With only three left it made their strategy exponentially harder and I eventually got the 4k.
But really, that game must have lasted nearly an hour. I didn't time it, but I do know my wife got two CS:GO games in within the time I was in that single one. 😮 Sure, it would have probably been more efficient for any of us to just give up and get into another match, but I think we were all determined to see it through after a while.
So, how did your longest game go?

An hour because 4man swf decided it was time to play hide and seek

Hatch staring contest. I don't miss you old times.

Around 4 hours before the hatch changes

It’s not clear which side is causing the game to come to a complete stop. The survivors for not being able to finish the generator or the killer for refusing chase.
This is the problem with a three gen strategy and I know it’s not fun. They a lot of times turn into long matches because it’s a true stalemate in the game.

I was Pig on New Lerys. I only managed to get one person out of the game before they got 4 gens done. But the last three gens were close together. And I had surveillance. (Not Ruin, I hadn't had Hag to level 40 yet, or Pig for that matter). Every time I hit a survivor, but they got too far I'd go back to the gens and make sure they were regressing. They'd go off, hide and heal. Eventually I got a second person out, and then a third and the last guy. But game lasted about half an hour or so. not too bad, but I haven't been playing that long.

Back when you needed to have atleast two gens to be completed before hatch spawned, I had a about 30 minute match. All my team died without a single gen popping, ended up escaping.

Why?
Why not just give the hatch?
Four hours of life staring at a pixelated character and hole in the ground?

It was more of a pride thing.

an hour long game against freddy with jump rope thanataphobia sloppy butcher dying light and pop goes the weasel
new freddy is almost as fun as legion hahahhahaha

Probably against an oni at ormomd idk what went wrong we werent 3 gened we just didnt do gens for like 5 minutes then everytime we tried to do one we failed a skill check cause of huntresses lullaby the game lasted around 30 minutes and 2 of us were about to escape but baby was teabagging at the gate and got downed i could have saved her by just healing her so the killer cant pick her up but she deserved to die

If you are referring to me: I was actually a survivor in that game and the killer abused a bugged killer perk (tier 2 tinkerer) to ruin the match for everyone back then so I made it my mission to ruin the rest of the killer's day by not giving the 4th kill.
I've never seen said killer again after that match so it was worth it.

Thank you Devs for endgame collapse :) one of the best additions to the game

Longest game as survivor was against a Huntress. Someone DC'ed early, and Huntress Lullaby kept us off gens. So I went around to EVERY ROOM hunting for that dang Hex Totem. Cleansed every totem along the way. Finished the gens, only for NoED to kick in. Found the NoED totem while running away, but still got killed. Wasn't mad though. The huntress was in my very next game as a survivor, and I was the killer. She had No mither, and I let her go.

This was way before EGC but I was Wraith and spent a good 30 minutes trying too find the last survivor. They were just hiding in the basement rotating around the lockers, not even trying too find the hatch. Legit was the dumbest thing in the world lol.

It was 30-35 minutes. The last two Survivors were immensely sneaky. The only reason I was able to hang on at the end was because I had Surveillance. Every time one of them touched this one gen we were battling over, by the time I got there they had vanished. Every time, over and over.
In the end, I think I got one and the other... I can't remember. Might have gotten the last one, or they might have gotten the hatch. Anyway, it was a really fun match. Cutting those off is one reason I (personally, not speaking for the whole Design team) do not want to put a hard time limit on Trials.
Also if I recall, I got a ton of some of the most hideous verbal abuse I've ever gotten in this game for not giving up. :D

I think I was in this game cuz the exact same thing happened xd

It was around 40 minutes against a scratched mirror Myers on the game map. It was a very long cycle of getting found while working a gen, losing him, getting healed and then getting found again shortly after healing or after starting to work on a gen.

Mine as well. Two of my longest matches have come against tier 1 Myers on two of the indoor maps. Killer just injured you... Found a spot where it was safe to heal. Self-cared up. Went to do gens some more. It felt like 40 minute games both times.

Don't know how long it lasted but mine was against old freddy. We gave him a 3 gen and he would injure us but not commit. He patrolled the 3 gens and it took us forever to get one done.

Two come to mind. Both between 45 minutes and an hour.
First was a game against a Spirit on Game. 2 of us were dead, and she had a 3 gen setup downstairs. She would outright REFUSE to chase either of us upstairs. When she caught one of us she would slug for the 4k. It was really annoying and toxic AF. Granted this is before the hatch changes, but she had plenty of time to find hatch and was a Spirit so she could easily have gotten one of us. Or, ya know, maybe not sweat that hard for a 4k. I've never seen a killer more desperate for kills.
Second was a Doc also on Game, running impossible skillchecks (pre-Ruin update). Again he just refused to chase anyone, he just would shock you until you couldn't do the gens and protected them all with his life. Funny part was he failed and we eventually got all the gens but it was probably the most single frustrating game I've ever played.
I've never really had a super long game as killer. Sometimes survivors hide, but that doesn't last too long. If I feel like the game has gone on long enough I just kill people and take the chance the last will get hatch.

Recently, my longest match was a Legion. Probably 25 minutes of nothing but mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing. They didnt commit to chases and weren't really good at catching people. Just injuring them. *le sigh* their matches are so damn boring.
In the history of my DBD matches, my second longest would be keeping a nurse on a map who insisted on the hard camp/tunnel of my teammates. This was before EGC. She wanted to be spicy and try and end everyone's match prematurely, so I just went super immersive and evaded her until she quit, probably 30 minutes later. I don't promote this, but I also didn't feel bad about it.
Longest would definitely be a hatch stand off. I literally have had a 'test of wills' hatch stand off for 40+ minutes. 😂 I honestly miss it. New hatch is lame and sucked all the fun out of it for survivors.

Two wrongs don't make a right, you dirty Oni main. Good story though lol.
1 -
Normally 20-30 minute matches after I kill one person most see teams crumple under the pressure and play hide and seek.
1 -
Ah, pride.
4 -
I thought I quoted you, and realized it didnt go through.
Damn bro, that is some commitment to make a point.

On Red Forest against SWF(Prior to being able Close the Hatch), the match lasted almost an hour because the last survivor was hiding for 30 minutes. They messaged me after the match saying that they were following. I’m like “why didn’t you just take the hatch then?”
1 -
I dont know how long, it could have been minutes but felt like hrs. I was very petty. I did 3 gen completely by myself while the other 3 were flashlight and sabo the hooks when the killer was doing their thing. Everyone but me and the other survivor hide. I played so sneaky so he could die abd i take hatch.
1 -
And you are the reason people are lobbying for a suicide option when slugged. 🤣

Around an hour. I was playing Hag in the huge corn fields. I killed 2 people before 3 gens were left, and the other two were hiding in the corn. They got one more generator but I could never find them and my generators were a decent distance apart. Eventually got the 4k but I was searching through corn forever as a Hag with severe corn blindness. One of them was also a Claudette. I kept hearing her when she was injured but could never see her. Eventually I found one of them, killed them, and finally found the last one at one of the gates. This was about a year ago. I wanted to give up so bad but at the same time I didn't want to give up just as much.

About 45 minutes, I think. Was on old Lerrys. I was Nurse. Had managed to kill two in the first ten minutes or so, then spent the rest of the time looking for the remaining two. Just could not find them. Only managed it when I spotted Jane slowly getting into a locker. Forth found hatch.
In post game chat, I was pretty steamed. Come to find out, the remaining two would not surrender the hatch to the other, so instead attempted to hold the game hostage until somebody dc'ed, or made a mistake.

This one.

Pre-nerf nurse Rotten Fields Omega Blink going for slug 3 gen'd 40 minutes after she committed for someone and we got out besides a Ace who died by bleed out

Always a Legion. 🙄

Seems like it.
Honestly though, it just feels like Legion is that kind of character. Your power can't kill anyone, so you end up wounding and repeating. Seems like that's the design.
1 -
About 30 minutes. We were three gen'ed, three alive, one person would take him on a chase, while the other two would rush in to work on the gen. Sometimes the one being chased would be downed, then one would have to run over, either get them up or off the hook, and the killer would go right back to the gen we were on. Rinse, repeat. We eventually lost. Edit: Forgot to mention they'd eventually come back mid chase if it lasted too long, kick our gen, and start again.

longest game? Spawning in against an ebony Mori which is equivalent to about 5 minutes or less playing survivor. That’s about as long as it gets. Not fun at all. I can’t believe I’m still waiting on when this game will actually get to have fun playing it. I counted all 14 games I played today. 11/14 killer brought an ebony Mori. How many of my teammates brought a key? ZERO.

pro like 40 mins
it was the first game i ever player and i was a scared blendette, was looking for hatch for like 30 mins after everyone died... lol
1 -
I had a game like that as old Freddy! Was this ormond on x box?? It was 3 survivors left but gens spread out. Stalemate for about 45 minutes. Another one was a 40 min 3 gen with doc. Then the hatch standoff for 25 minutes, just the standoff

3 hours. Wraith body blocked everyone in the basement and I really didn't want to dc.
