Legion or trapper
I'm thinking of picking up and learning one of these killers but I need some advice. Who has the best perk synergy, addons and feels rewarding to play

I think you'll get mostly negative comments about both killers here. 😀
That said, I really enjoy Legion, but that's mostly because I enjoy speed. (Which is why I'll probably try Oni next, I guess?) Not sure Legion really has a lot of great addon synergy at this time, though.

TRAPPER OR DEATH

Definitely Trapper.

Depends on what rank you are.
If you're green, yellow or white ranks I'd say Trapper.
If you're purple or red I'd say Legion.
Legion requires alot of skill in general in the chase, while Trapper has his traps which help him in the chase.

Red rank ps4

Both are really fun in my opinion. Do you want moment-to-moment action (Legion) or long-term planning (Trapper)?

Trapper
there is nothing more satisfying in this game than your well planned Trap setup working out and winning you the game.
he is not an easy killer though. you will need a lot of map knowledge and creativity in your trap placement to get them to work properly.

Legion has the side effect of pipping easily but not securing any kills because of how his power works. You may rank up quickly and face people higher skilled than you. BUT considering this games MM and your playing killer, that will happen anyway.
Both are mediocre killers but I feel trapper is more viable than legion once you learn how to play as him.

I would say Legion.
I think they are really fun to play from both sides. It's fun to stab everybody, has a small stall potential because of the necessity for mending, and if they start to heal, they'll waste precious time. Especially if you can use Ruin, it's really fun. Just know when to cancel your power.
My perk build for Legion: Ruin (for slowing the game, just a little bit), BBQ (to know where they are healing -> stab-stab), Spies from the Shadows (helps a lot with chases), Discordance (to know where the stab-stab is really necessary).
And I think it's fun to play against as a survivor, because they are a balanced killer, securing an eventful play, and even if you cannot get out, it was fun for me every time.

And if you'd like to play strategic killer, I'd say The Hag is the best choice.

Trapper, hard to find perk synergy with Legion due to the changes on Deep Wound.

It all depends in your personal playstyle.
Legion is a more reactive killer, where as Trapper is active.
And what I mean by that is Legion can just react to seeing survivors wherever they are and is more suited to a player who thinks on their feet and adapt on the fly.
Trapper kn the other hand, relies more on preparation and planning with setting up your traps and keeping them open all the time, as well as trying to force survivors onto them.

Both Legion and Trapper are great. However, playing Trapper requires a lot more thought and effort than Legion, and he's a lot more map dependent as well. I personally only have trouble playing against Trapper if he's using the tar addon that makes his traps darker, but I've probably not been against a really good Trapper, even in red ranks (rank =/= skill). Both Trapper and Legion truly shine after a couple gens have been done, so no need to worry about those first 2-3 gens, since they can easily lock down games afterward.
Speaking personally, I definitely prefer Legion. With Trapper, I feel like you have to sweat to get the kills, but Legion feels more laid back if you know how to manage his power properly. Of course, Legion is a more simple man.
For Legion, I enjoy using Pop Goes the Weasel, Thanatophobia, Discordance and Brutal Strength/Nurse's Calling/Bloodhound/Corrupt Intervention. Legion can kick generators while in Frenzy, so I also use his power with one duration and one cooldown addon just to get around and kick gens (after I've hit the survivors in the area)! The new map changes have really helped Legion in areas that he was lacking, so I would definitely rate him A-tier.
Trapper is Trapper regardless of the perks you use, as he is a truly skill-dependent (and slightly map-dependent) killer. However, I would recommend Fire Up, Agitation and Brutal Strength on him, as you really CAN'T keep gens from being completed early on, and having percent boosts at the beginning and as the match goes on is extremely helpful. Agitation helps you get to hooks faster (as well as helping you reach basement more easily, and chase down people who are running around you while carrying someone), and saving time in that area is a huge plus.

Have you ever wish to be a edgy teenage who listens to linkin park, a living breathing 28 stab wound meme? That or have you ever desire to be Sonic or just a desire to gotta go fast but also be edgy while doing it? Legion is for you.
Have you ever desire to be a evil master mind or watch to much gargoyles and suddenly have a desire to be like a mini David Xanatos but on a much smaller scales and with traps, where you watch everything slowly go just as plan, as you just laugh evilly while survivors fall into your carefully place traps? Than Trapper is for you.

I suggest Trapper. I used to be a Legion main, and I can hardly stand to play then anymore. They're just so bad that it's not fun and I feel helpless when I play them. I suggest you play literally anyone other than legion.

I WAS an edgy teenager who listened to Linkin Park. (The good old times with Hybrid Theory and Meteora)
So I would prefer Trapper.

Hey, stop it, I've just started having fun with them. 😂

Legion is fun in low ranks when people don't know how too do gens, once you get too green ranks it's a choire and a half.
Trapper is the same boat, once survivors start countering his traps and avoiding them you won't do much at high ranks.
If you don't mind being a no power killer then I'd say Trapper. He's much more fun then Legion and has a much better chance at red ranks with proper trap placement.

Side note. If going trapper I strongly suggest running Corrupt Intervention and Whispers.
Intervention buys you time to set your traps which is much needed. Whispers once learned how to use it. Is not only a great tracking perk but it also tells you when no one is around. So hopefully it's safe to plant a trap no one will see.

I think my only issue with Legion is when survivors see it's you and they just split pressure gens. (Or they just do that anyway because it works.)
At that point I sometimes feel like I might as well not even have a power. I almost feel like some small change like would make a big difference, something like, "When using Feral Frenzy, striking a survivor when no survivors are within Killer Instinct range immediately ends Feral Frenzy. Ending Feral Frenzy in this manner reduces the cooldown stun by [Percentage]."
Although that might end up being too good.

Trapper gameplay at least in higher ranks usually just devolves into 3 genning yourself and slapping all your traps around those three gens. That is unless you're a god tier trapper who is okay with roaming around but I feel in that case you might as well play a different killer. Trapper needs some QoL buffs but otherwise there's nothing wrong with him.
Legion is fun enough, I main them so I would hope so. Against small brain survivors, Legion is super entertaining as all they'll so is heal and drop pallets for the slightest things. Against survivors that know how to stand in front of a gen and hold down M1, Legion is rough.

They are two completely different killers. Legion is very reactive, while with the Trapper you have to think two steps ahead and force survivors to play by your rules. Personally I think Trapper is more rewarding, he has a tremendous snowball potential and the satisfaction you get from the "snap" of your traps is fantastic.

While it's fun to run and stab everyone in feral frenzy, there's no better feeling than hearing a snap in the distance followed by an agonized scream.

I have play both and I think, you just should ask yourself what you like more: Speed or strategic thinking.
By the Legion you are a active hunter, that chases his prey.
The Trapper can also do it, via m1 mindgames, but his traps give him a strategic component for which you sometims need also a bit "foresight" of what the survivors will most likley do in this match.
