Is Prove Thyself Working Properly?
I've been using my Dwight a lot recently because of his Tome challenges. When using Prove Thyself, however, there is still an applied debuff that can be identified by the red progress bar and what seems to be an actual decrease in repair speed (it's now the speed of two survivors on a gen without the perk before the nerf was implemented). The bar is normally the basic light grey. Is this intended or not?

Just here to say I notice it too. Thought it was just a visual bug or something, but it does seem odd.

It doesn't just look visual. When using it I've noticed that rather than the basic repair speed increase, it seems to have been bumped down to how long it took two survivors to repair a gen without the perk (before the co-op speed nerf).

Pretty sure it's intended. If you're working at a generator with another Survivor, the both of you are given a penalty to your repair effectiveness so instead of 1 charge per tick (a tick being 1 second and a generator takes 80 charges to complete), it becomes 0.85 charges/s with 2 survivors, 0.7 with 3, and 0.55 with all 4. So that is why they show up as Red. Because you are slowed down when repairing the generator together.

Yes, but Prove Thyself is meant to restore the lost .15 charges when on a generator with only one other person, but it seems to only restore .10 charges, leaving each survivor only putting in 0.95 charges.

He's talking about the perk Prove Thyself still showing the red bar with two survivors working on it, since the perk is supposed to undo the repair penalty for two survivors

Yes, that is what I mean when I say it's intended.
I think the co-op repair colour trumps Prove Thyself.

Before the co-op nerf from 10% to 15%, the bar was grey with prove thyself

I think the bar is red because Prove Thyself doesn't make up for the inefficiency enough

Two things: I think I heard it is bugged and currently does completely nothing. Like almost all Huntress addons do nothing and Entity Blockers dont show on Bamboozle and what else is broken with the current patch.
Second: I also thought the perk just puts you back to 100%, and does this for every survivor on the gen. Apparently from a discussion in another thread, where Peanits also participated to confirm, the 10% (15%) is based on the reduced repair speed. In addition to that, you only get one stack, not one per other survivor. Meaning the following:
- Old PT gave you 10% on top of your 90% current speed, giving +9% to a total of 99% (but "rounding" showed that as a grey progress, being nearly at 100%)
- New PT gives you, assuming 2 survivors sitting on one gen, 15% bonus, based on 85% current speed, giving 12,75% to a total of 97,75% (which is enough for the rounding to mark the progress as red)
- New PT gives you, assuming 3 survivors sitting on one gen, 15% bonus, based on 70% current speed, giving 10,5% to a total of 80,5% (so increasing every survivors speed from 0,7 c/s to 0,8 c/s)
I really have problems to believe that old PT did the same like mentioned in point 3, because the perk description totally reads differently in my opinion and I think I would have noticed earlier, that I have a red progress bar when using old PT with 3+ survivors. But I couldn't find any video proof that this is the case. Anyone else has some evidence?

Old PT was red when working with 2 or more other survivors.

The reason the progress bar doesnt go yellow is because you arent actually gaining an increase in speed, prove thyself just counters the de-buff putting you back at 100%. if you want to see the yellow bar then you will need something extra to boost up the repair speed (spinechill etc.) you can also see this if you and someone else both have provethyself, if one is on the gen and the other is next to them they shall receive the yellow bar, as soon as they get on the gen it shall go back to red, the red indicates something is affecting it even if its been balanced out by the perk. the same effect happens when the killer has thana but you have resilience, you can still repair at 100% but the bar is red. the perk is working fine and i use it often too

The perk doesn't balance out the speed, each survivor is only putting in .9775 charges, enough of a decrease to turn the bar red. Old PT had each survivor putting in .99 charges which was too little of a difference to turn the bar red. Here are the gen speeds of the two which might help you determine the bar color threshold.
Normal 2 person = 40 seconds, grey
Inefficient 2 person before patch = 44.44 seconds, red
Inefficient 2 person after patch = 47.06 seconds, red
PT 2 person before patch = 40.40 seconds, grey
PT 2 person after patch = 40.92 seconds, red
My guess would be the bar turns red after the gen takes over 2%(.8 seconds) longer, hope this helps!

I just gotta to say... you are wrong obout 3 survivors with new PT
it's sounds not like (1-30%)+15% (in this case you get 80.5% of repair speed), but it is actualy (1-30%)+30% (since there are 2 people and PT gives 15% for every other survivor, to all other survivors)
so all i'm saying - it woud be not 80.5%.... it would be 91%... just saying

Can't say I've noticed this myself.

Nope, that's the point. That's why @Waffleyumboy confirmed that 3+ survivors turn the progressbar red, also on old PT
I also think that the description clearly states that you should get 15/30/45 percent depending on survivor count, but it was confirmed confirmed in another thread that you only get 15%

The boost should be 15% for every other survivor on a gen.

Found it. 6th comment, from Peanits:
Prove Thyself can negate the inefficiency of one survivor working on the generator with you...
...Beyond that, however, you still get the penalty
And then he does comparing calculation of old and new PT, which is not boosting the gen time to 20 seconds for 4 survivors.

See my above comment, I just posted

It's not taking 20 seconds because the inefficiency is getting bigger and the gap between PT and 100% efficiency is becoming more accentuated. It still gives 15% per survivor.

Did you read the thread and Peanits comment? I even quoted the relevant part

I think you misread Peanits' comment

Prove Thyself can negate the inefficiency
of one survivorworking on the generator with you......Beyond that, however,
you still get the penalty"four survivors on a gen with Prove Thyself active, you'd be looking at: 80 / (1 - 0.3) / 4 = 28.57 seconds"
-0,3 is 2 slowdowns instead of 3. What is to misread on that?
Peanits made a mistake in calculating the PT bonus based on 100% and not on the reduced speed. But that you only get 15% maximum bonus is pretty clear and misunderstandable.

PT charges per person with 4 people = .55*1.45 = .7975(Over .2 less charges due to how PT works)
Times 4 people = 4*.7975 = 3.19
Time until generator completion = 80/3.19 = 25.08 seconds
If PT was always 15% bonus
PT charges per person with 4 people = .55*1.15 = .6325
Times 4 people = 4*.6325 = 2.53
Time until generator completion = 80/2.53 = 31.62 seconds
Either way, Peanits did his math wrong and you can't draw conclusions from his comments. I'm pretty sure PT works just like it says, and the red bar is just to indicate inefficiency. This is fine because PT doesn't fully compensate for inefficiency.

I know how it is calculated and I already said what Peanits calculation mistake was. But it is not about this mistake, it is about what he says and confirms with his calculation. I'll just test it and count the seconds, "pretty sure" is not what I would put over "one survivor" from a dev

He confirmed nothing because he obviously wrote his equation completely incorrectly. Lmk how the testing goes

Prove Thyself greatly reduces the coop penalty but doesn't completely remove it, that's why the bar is still red.
0 -
Yeah, I've read some of the earlier comments. It's going to take sone getting used to though. I'm so accustomed to the light grey bar that the red will throw me off a bit.
