It would be Nice to see silent hill in Dead by daylight but,Kojima doesnt work anymore nor want to with Konami,and doubt that Konami Would like to give Behaviour Permission,License to make a silent hill chapter in their game,They had Become More Rude to the community, After The Cancellation Of Silent Hills,They re turning into EA lol
But Who knows,the last Anniversary Logo from last year,was very similar to Scream 3,and then we got Ghostface (even if he is not licensed at all)

To be honest I don't know a ton about the SH games, or what that first person's comment is supposed to mean, but I at least can agree that the atmosphere of that franchise might work in DbD.
At the very least this post was a nice refresher from all the FNaF and Chucky suggestions.

Oh, I guess I can understand then. I was trying to imagine what it could be about the game/characters, but if the reason is the company I guess it makes a lot more sense.

I'd absolutely love a Silent Hill chapter to be honest, idc what anyone says. The atmosphere in the first and second game was terrifying.

If they did do a chapter on this, it would be interesting to throw a curve ball (not business-sound, admittedly) & elect a "Stranger Things" style dlc for Silent Hill 4. Henry Townsend and Eileen Galvin as the survivors (yes, 2!), and Walter Sullivan as the Killer.
Walter could have ghosts appear around the map which takes away health from survivors, and a.i which controls those ghosts. Dead survivors could also be brought back. In turn, survivors could light candles at key points as a safe haven from them, and even a sword could be located to pin one down. Very ambitious, but I like the idea.
However, Eileen was a nightmare follower in the game, so she may become the new "Toxic" survivor.

It can only be Pyramid Head though as he was the signature icon of the series. We need the siren playing as his terror radius when in the vicinity. Thing is, he is a natural slow entity in the game (atleast in 2 and he represented the manifestation of James Sutherland and his Judgment) so unless they either make him Nurse speed but with great power or 4.2 he just isnt going to work no matter how much we want him :/
It's cool in concept, he is EVERYONES JUDGEMENT but I'm not sure what his ability would be to make him viable.

You could just make the siren like huntress whistling, you hear it way before inside his radius. And once in his radius, you're slowed like freddy's snares. But permanently until you escape his radius. This would mean you could only hide against him once he's on you. A very different killer, would change the game in a good way. I'm glad OP posted this

True but what if they're just hiding from the get go. You go to a gen, find nobody. Sure they may be slowed but they could just hide like a blendette. Perhaps his ability is that as long as he looks at you, you get a speed rebuff that persists for maybe 2 seconds after ward so that he can still mind game around walls?

Don't think its pyramid head but I'd love to see it. Feel the world of silent hill is just so cool that it would have an amazing map with some potentially amazing cosmetics.

Except Stranger Things is INFINITELY more popular and well known than Silent Hill, I'm not sure if you understand that TV and Movies are still infinitely bigger and older industries than video games. TV and Movies both reach a vastly wider and greater audience than video games do, that's why Dead By Daylight seeks out licenses from those mediums because TV and Movie genres popularized horror decades ago and created beloved characters with massive fan-bases like Jason Voorhees, Chucky, Pinhead, Pennywise, The Xenomorph from Alien, the list goes on.
Only gamers know what Silent Hill even is. Whereas you'll hear people of all different ages and backgrounds talking about the Halloween reboot, or this great new tv show that takes place in the 80s called Stranger Things.
Silent Hill is not going to happen. At least not right now, with all the theories going around about literally any and every licensed killer Pyramid Head is one of the DEAD LAST things people want to see.
Not because Pyramid Head isn't cool, or isn't scary, but people have it hyped up in their heads we could be seeing ######### Pinhead, or Pennywise, hell even though the lawsuit is going on a huge resurgence of F13 fans are saying it's Jason.
What we do know is that it's a "classic license" (BHVR'S OWN WORDS) and Silent Hill does not fit that bill.

You could be right, I like both ideas. I like that they encourage a new way for survivors to play. I just like the whole idea of pyramid head in the game. I mean his whole purpose is stalking and killing. Already has a song for him. And a silent hill map is better than anything we've gotten so far

Alright fine, I'll bust out the actual context then here's the full sentence from BHVR:
"This new chapter will feature a classic license, one that has marked the world of horror since its inception."

Are you really going to tell me right to my face, that sentence is actually describing Silent #########' Hill. Of all the licenses out there, Silent Hill over everything else.

I can't tell you 100% certain either way.
All I can say is that phrases like "marked the world of horror since its inception" aren't really quantifiable things. For all we know, someone from BHVR really loves Troll 2 and thinks highly of it's historical value.
So no, I don't think phrases like that absolutely rule out any particular work. Hell, chances are that whatever the actual reveal is, people are going to say, "THAT? That's not a big classic!"

I have full faith it's going to be an actual big license, in case you haven't noticed BHVR never hypes up their chapters, ever. They always keep it as tightly under wraps as possible before the community picks up on some clue to figure out what it is, so the fact that they are saying anything at all means that it's something worth paying attention to. Something that even they are extremely excited about.

I have no idea why stranger things wouldn't work, I know absolutely why Silent hill doesn't though. It's not to do with them not being a human killer, it has to do with how monsters in SH work. Also Sorry if I came off condescending, but I don't think anyone whose very familiar with the franchise would have made that suggestion and I stand by what I said

I still think its going to be Pyramid Head, 100%. The 4 is shaped too much like his head. Yeah they said "classic lisence" but that is subjective. We won't really find out until the 26th, but the shape of the 4 is EXACTLY like pyramid head. Just because y'all might not think it is "classic", or emotional to the team, doesn't mean it isn't. I think its going to be pyramid head.

Honestly I understand why some people would be disappointed since SH isn’t as big as all these other licenses, and Pyramid Head might not be as “classic” as someone like JAson or Pennywise, but I still think Silent Hill would be a great addition to this game and I would buy it 10000%.

If it is Pyramid Head, then I actually wont be disappointed that we got a licensed chapter.
Pyramid Head is actually terrifying compared to some random guy with a hook and bees.

I stand by my previous statements and logic, I'll reiterate: I never said Pyramid Head could never make it into the game and I never even said he would be a bad choice. I was simply of the mindset to be expecting something so much grander, hell even a gigantic yet controversial character like Jason Voorhees became more plausible than ever this time around in the speculating ring, but I suppose I set the bar of expectation too high this time around.
