Name some anime that hasn't been named
The purpose of this thread is to help each other find some good anime that we may have overlooked. You must only post anime that hasn't already posted in this thread.
I'll start:
- Gintama- If you need to laugh, are a fan of anime in general and want to watch something that has very interesting and likable characters, this show is a must watch.
- Konosuba- Want to cry laugh? Want a main character that doesn't give a fu*k? Do you love explosions? What are you waiting for? Go watch Konosuba, all of it, now!
- Mob Psycho 100- Want a well written story that has fantastic animation, super powers and great character development? It is brought to you from the man to gave us One Punch Man.
- Kimetsu No Yaiba- Want a loveable main character, who you would do anything to protect? Want to watch interesting battles between demons and humans? Want good animation? Well, here you are, another well rounded anime.
- Re:Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu- One of the best, if not the best reincarnation animes you would ever watch. Watch it in order to be introduced to Rem, the best waifu you would ever see.

It's a long time ago since i watched any anime, but the one i really liked and that i'd recommend is "Code Geass".
2 -
@PlantCollector Code Geass was a great one! One of my favourites.
Others I'd recommend off the top of my head are:
Angel Beats
Legend of the Legendary Heroes
No Game No Life
... and I can't believe no one has mentioned Jojo yet!

Death Parade, Juuni Taisen, Assassination Classroom, Akuma no Riddle, Kampfer, and Youjo Senki.
Go have all of these a watch.

Yeah, i think it was my favourite by far ^^ I don't even remember the names of all the animes that i watched back then, but code geass is the one i definitely enjoyed very much.
However i haven't watched some of the really popular ones like death note, so i may have not really good comparisons for that ^^ I only read the first manga of it later and thought it wasn't bad, but i never started watching it.
Out of my head, i think one i also liked was gurren lagann, at least the first few episodes.

I think the starter point to get a little more into anime after the casual watching stage would be:
Bakemonogatari
The Tatami Galaxy
K-on
These are the best and most known series of three main genres: Deconstruction, Psychological and Slice of life.
These will set you somewhat of a profile of what kind of “consumer” you are.

Vinland Saga, Paranoia Agent, Food Wars, My Hero Academia, Fire Force, The Promised Neverland.

SAO is complete and utter garbage. I'm surprised that people even talk about it.

I just throw in some of the stuff I watched years ago:
Higurashi (psychothriller with a lot of mindfuck, still my favorite)
Umineko (Magic Vs Logic, sadly just one season, but the manga is great, same creator as higurashi)
The World God only Knows (Dude who prefers 2D-Girls, has to date real girls to "heal" them)
Another (Horror Stuff, pretty cool)
Terror in Tokyo (Can't describe it much, but very interesting)
Steins;Gate (If you like time travel, but be aware, that it takes around 10 episodes before the action kicks in)
Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru (School slice of life comedy with some drama. 2nd Season was one of the best stuff I have seen. While season 1 is more comedy, season 2 focusses more on the drama, but still fun)
Gosick (detective stuff, but very entertaining)
Shiki (Vampire stuff, pretty creepy)
Girls & Panzer (it's a guilty pleasure.. don't blame me. )
Sankarea (Boy resurrects his cat and later a girl, now she is a zombie, can't spoil more)
And here is my secret recommendation:
Denpa-teki na Kanojo (Just an 90 Minute OVA, but that anime stuck with me somehow)

Watamote for a depressed chuckle

JoJo's bizarre adventure

- Nichijou, for completely random and nonsensical jokes. Quite funny, though I'm sure not everybody will find it funny.
- Clannad, if you want to laugh and cry equally. Very neat anime adaptation of a great visual novel. It technically has 2 seasons: Clannad, and Clannad After Story.
- Little Busters!, which follows the same path as Clannad. Also 2 seasons, the seconds one is called Little Busters! Refrain. The second season is waaay better adapted, first one has some hiccups and weird transitions, kinda confusing sometimes, but it's still solid.
- Digimon, the first one. People tend to say that Pokemon has the better games, and Digimon has the better anime, and I do agree to a certain extent. The Pokemon anime is repetitive and predictable, while Digimon is quite an adventure where you don't know what will happen next. Second season is kinda meh, and the third is way different, but better than the second. Digimon Frontier (or Digimon 4) wasn't of my liking so I haven't watched anything beyond that.
- Naruto and Naruto Shippuden. An excellent anime, with great characters, solid plot, amazing soundtrack and much more. Just make sure to avoid the filler in Shippuden, and you'll be good to go. It's a shounen so of course not everyone will like it, however it's worth the watch, trust me.
- Finally a guilty pleasure of mine: Danganronpa The Animation. I say guilty pleasure because this is an anime adaptation of another great visual novel, though the game is WAY better than the anime, cause it's just 13 episodes and it feels a bit rushed. I recommend it so people can get into this universe and interest themselves enough so that they can dig into the games. Danganronpa is a murder mystery novel, with some crazy and unique characters. 15 students are trapped in a school and are forced to kill each other if they want to get out. Really, if you watched it and liked it, go play the games for an even better experience!
