2020 and people still do the flashlight switching...
You know this one. That one guy waiting 0:06 seconds before the match starts switching to a P3 Blendette or a Pink Hair Nea with a Flashlight, even if everybody already ready up, even if they cant be dodge anymore long time ago. We should suggest a name for this kind of... people.
Everytime i see one im like

This is exactly why I do it. Killers can say they don't care or that they don't prepare but it still incites them, and that's exactly what I want as my team's runner. It still has uses ;)

But ... Meh. whats the purpose ? I dont understand, i just find them just ridiculous

This is why you should always leave if survivors don't click ready by the 15 seconds marker. :)

Damn, they're adapting lol
2 -
Nah Bring it on if you have a flashlight but if you do this with a key you are scum.
3 -
2020 and still can't counter the flashlight lol
14 -
Agreed. Flashlights are all fun and games but keys are straight up toxic

At no points i said it was against flashlights. Im talking about the behavior.

Nah just bring Franklin's, get the salt and see them crying about their loss in postgame. Especially when they put a white parade offering :')

tbh its something I never understood, if I want to use flashlight i jsut pick it straight away, also what difference would that make for a killer? not like they would pick shadowborne lmao

Well in the past if the killer was like "2 flashlight nooo" he could simply dodge and make survivors wait again to find another lobby. But now he just leave himself, they still in the lobby. So thats why this behaviour still stupid lol
Like "Uhuuu! You didnt expect that! Im so evil uhu"

Just tunnel them or dc during loading screen so they have to wait 10 Minutes again for another game.
I remember some Games where these kind of survivors complained about the special attention they got from me. Well, you asked for it. :)

Agreed, it's dumb. Just makes you look like a weirdo tryhard in a non-competitive game. 😂 I never take those people seriously.

You can and it’s called lightborn.
I don’t do it but from what I understand it stops the killer from changing their build to counter such things. If no one in the lobby has flashlights then there is no reason to put lightborn on or less chance of having/putting on franklins. Etc..
some people bring in mori’s if it’s a lobby full of flashlights, keys etc..but if survivors don’t have anything in their hands then there’s no point in trying to counter those things.
Changing characters at the last second...killers can’t do anything about it.

The wording in those sentences are giving me a headache.

I'll admit I sometimes slap an item on at the last second. I feel like the more items in a lobby, the more likely the Killer will use a Mori. I just wanna use my stockpile of brown items, but of course the Killer will assume I have the best stuff.
2 -
They may change build or for example not play someone like hag? They can take mori .
Another reason i do that is Ash line. Recently i picked up Ash with a flashlight at the last second and he said: " Look who s shitting in the tall grass " lol

I literally never notice if somebody quick switches. Just accept the challenge and do your best. If you dodge lobbies based on what people are wearing and or holding your a coward.

They generally pick ebony moris just for seeing flashlights. It's why I do it.

I've never seen anyone do this in a long time. I'm sure it sucks when it happens but for me I just keep on going with the game. What item they bring doesn't change my gameplan lol.

the reason is so they dont get dodged, simple as that

Earlier today my friend was gonna do a daily as killer, and at the last second all four survivors suddenly switched: 3 flashlights and a key. And they burned a Yamaoka and three purple mist offerings.
It's been like a month or so since he had last played, so he's back at the "accidentally presses the wrong button to swing/pick up/use power" stage. He immediately shut down the game before the match could load and it'll probably be another month or two before he tries playing as killer, again.

Unbelievable. It is, after all, the current year.

I pick flashlight a lot and mori is quite rare tho

Lol If I have challenge where I have to escape using a key (Only time I use a key), I'm gonna do what I got to do and I have done this, with flashlights too
1 -
Nice idea, unfortuntatly this would not work for me at all. In every lobby there is this one guy who let the timer run out.

I will just say.
A survivor with a Flashlight is a lot more useless than a Survivor with no Flashlight.
Because they will be tempted to use that flashlight on you, try to go for saves, or waste it with pallet blinds (use your ears).
So if Survivors switch at the last second, you're effectively getting a better match compared to if they brought a key, medkit or toolbox

Unfortunately this makes you scum of the earth.

In my situation it's a lot more common. That said I play on PS4 so maybe that's the issue? Basically every killer I see on the forums has some sort of hate for seeing flashlights from my experience as well. So I'd rather be safe than sorry.
