The new killer is going to suck

We all know it. The fact they said it's licensed means he/she/it is being introduced to draw in more players instead of improving the game. People will say "So and so is OP!" but someone says that every single time a new killer comes out. EVERY single time. Their power will be crappy/buggy. Their perks will suck or be very niche and they will get nerfed just before/after release. Upon release the game will see a spike in players for about 2 weeks and go back to what it was. It's happened before. Like clockwork.

But what if it’s a cool killer with a great design, fun perks and an interesting and interactive power? You’ll feel pretty silly then!

Yeah. Every killer in the game that's licensed is very weak. That's our definitive proof that the next one will be, purely off the license.

GF and Freddy are probably the best out of the licensed killers. Although Fred needed to wait a year and 1/2 to get a rework to be good. F tier was named after Freddy. He was weak at launch and they still nerfed him.

I don't think so with the newest killers deathslinger and rework doc they didn't touch them much this show that behavior is getting better at what they aim for as a killer if its weak that was behavior choice if its strong same thing.

You shouldn't be down bringing the killer before it even released.

Also they have buffed killers before like Ghostface

We don't even know who it is my dudette/dude. Just chill.

There'll be plenty of time to rain on the 4th year anniversary parade and shout "I knew it! I knew they'd suck!" when it actually starts.

Until then why don't you cross your fingers for a licensed Spirit or Plague (i.e. a Killer that changes the meta with their perks and/or power).

I'd have to agree that new killers that have appear really have sucked the last being the Scary Cowboy, Oni and Demo but how cool would it be if the killer actually wasn't just an M1 or rework of an existing killer. Have your fingers crossed guys

The last 2 killers to come out have been good though? Deathslinger and Oni are 2 of the best killers in the game, Plague, Demo and Doctor 2.0 are also decent. The only bad killer we got in 2019 and 2020 so far is GhostFace

Sadly with BHVR your prediction could be quite accurate.

Deathslinger was believed to be good at release but then we learned how to play against him. Huntress does his job faster. She doesnt need to aim, hit, reel and hit again. She just needs to throw.

Oni can be strong but he literally feels like a Billy that needs time to warm up. If one phrase can sum up Oni I think its "Why not play as Billy?"

I have a feeling the new killer is not going to suck.

Same like every single time someone says "Buff, killer is crap". Like you just did without knowing about it. So what?

Go to a peak and go back? Did you even watch the dbd stats for this game?

That's actually the only statement you can really make before he is released. At least correct in 70% of the cases

He is also not really bad. Stealth killers are always difficult to play against and since he doesn't need to "uncloak" or charge or something, he is always a decent threat. Just the stalking and reveal isn't always working as expected, but that also goes into both directions

Either way someone gonna find something to complain about.

Some killers people have mentioned are reworks not new killers

The only thing I dislike about licensed chars is, that they wont get that many skins due to the license.

We waited a long time for myers cosmetic, just for a simple typo to crush our dreams (SHIRTless myers =! SHORTless myers) :(

freddy and myers are good especially freddy

    ghostface and Demogorgon are okay

    pig sucks

his power goes against my survivor abilities

Exactly. Notice the top 4 killers are original?

    Nurse, Billy, Spirit, Huntress.

The year and 1/2 wait was probably because BHVR had to work out some things with the Nightmare on Elm Street team. Kinda like how Myers and Laurie never had cosmetics since launch 'till last Halloween. They have to get affirmation from the people who own them.

    (That was totally off topic.)

That's one more reason I prefer original killers. If they want to do something with them they can just do it. Licensed killers, they need to get permission.

“Deathslinger is D tier” that’s funny.

Deathslinger is FAR from D tier and is clearly better than Ghostface.

Ghostface is B tier at the very best.

I wouldnt put deathslinger above gf. GF, even if he doesnt mark people, can get the drop on them by just masking his TR. Deathslinger takes forever to down someone. His power only helps him if people don't know how to dodge or blindly run to windows. He has to land a shot, reel them in and hit them. Then he has to hit them again. Also deathslinger is slow. GF can sneak up on someone, land a hit before the chase even begins. Half the work is done already.

I consider deathslinger to be Huntress's version of bubba. Better off playing the real deal and not the copycat.

Ghostface is a killer that doesn’t have a power half the time. His power is that he can sneak up on survivors given two circumstances, it’s an indoor map or the survivors are unaware of their surroundings. Alert survivors are gonna hear him coming and are always moving their camera around. Not to mention his reveal mechanic is SUPER buggy and sometimes work for him and sometimes against him. It is not consistent.

Ghostface is like Wraith. He can get an easy early hit but he has no anti-loop ability. He’s gonna get looped easy unlike Deathslinger.

Plus Deathslinger is basically a semi-stealth killer with M&A giving him an easy early hit and able to deal with loops way easier than Ghostface ever could.

I actually believe Deathslinger is better than Huntress, given that the player is good with Deathslinger. Huntress has a clear indication on when she is winding up a hatchet giving the survivor plenty of reaction time. Deathslinger has instant “Aim Down Sights” and gives the survivors NO indication on if he is shooting or not if he quick scopes. Meaning he is basically walking around as a Huntress with a fully charged hatchet at normal speed. It’s better than old machine gun hatchet Huntress.

Deathslinger is good at a 1V1 chase but sucks at snowballing.

You must be going against bad Deathslingers because any good Deathslinger is going to win every chase quickly. He does not take long to down survivors.

I'll come clean here. I complained when deathslinger first came out ... then I tried playing as him ... 😭

All killers suck if you're bad at the game :)

You dont hear GF anymore. They removed that when he came out. You dont need an indoor map to sneak as GF, though it helps. You just need to approach from the right angle.

I give you props for doing that. Most people just cry for nerfs. Very few try to play as the thing they hate.

I've enjoyed reading your posts on your perspectives on the strengths of certain killers.
