Suggestions to killer emblem system?
I think personally that the killer emblem system needs to be changed a little. More so to not punish having 2 or 3 survivors escape. I've played survivor and pipped when I didnt really do much. But on killer after all the chasing and all the gen kicks even though i get a 25k bp game if 3 get out then i de pip. Its pretty difficult facing red rank lobbies as a green rank killer and de pipping because they had good co-ordination and were obviously better than me. Its just kind of....degrading.
I personally think they should either swap the sacrifice category for something else (open to debate) or lower the requirements for the current emblems. I chased all 4 survivors all game and got looped into oblivion on leatherface i got one kill and left the other on the hook and didn't want to camped so they rescued and sprint bursted to the exit gate.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks yall

I don't disagree that the Emblem system is heavily flawed, but it sounds like your problem in this case was matchmaking, not emblems. Best to go for the root of the issue rather than the symptoms when making changes like this.

Yea i suppose, but theres been more posts about matchmaking than i care to count so thought i'd tackle a different subject to get people talking

Plus MMR is being introduced soon so that should hopefully fix it

Exactly. That's why I don't think such drastic changes to the Emblem system are really necessary at this point. As I said, I quite agree that there are a lot of issues with it, but I don't think the example you gave is a good one to illustrate that. In your case, if you had played that badly against people of your own rank, you probably should have depipped. The problem wasn't that the emblems didn't reflect your abilities as displayed in that game, but that you were matched with survivors so far above your skill level that your performance was necessarily disproportionately bad. As you say, that's something that the MMR system is aiming specifically to remedy.
However, if you want to talk about issues with the Emblem system itself outside of its connection to matchmaking, be my guest. I'm not trying to suggest that there's nothing there to discuss, I just think the way you framed the discussion, and your feedback, on the basis of the difference in rank between you and these other players was not necessarily productive.
