Everybody thinks next killer is Candy man, but...
I think it's Pyramid Head, look at the 4 in the anniversary banner, it's literally the head of pyramid head.
And I think he is more popular than candyman and would fit better in the entity realm.

Fair enough, but on the other hand, I see literally no other good reason for BHVR employees to be making bee puns.
To me, that's the more compelling piece of evidence.

It's just way too obvious for me to take this tweet seriously so I'm gonna say it's a bait and the killer isn't candyman. Wouldn't make sense to confirm their next DLC so early, especially one so unpopular.

A good bait would be hinting that the new killer was somebody nobody wanted, like Jaws. To hint the killer will be Candyman, someone that lots of people wanted, but to then give something worse like Jaws would be cruel.

Just putting it out there: Until I saw the "Candyman" series being looked at on the Kill Count by Dead Meat, I'd never even heard of Candyman, and I am a horror fanatic. When I think of truly iconic horror characters, I immediately think of Myers, Jason, Kruger, Kramer, the Xenomorph and even Pyramid Head before I would even look at Candyman. Even the actor's role of William Bludworth from Final Destination is more iconic to me than him as Candyman.
But this might be a case of the fact that the movie isn't popular or well known in Australia. I mean, I also consider Wolf Creek to be a classic of true horror, and THE scariest horror movie I have seen to date because of it's very real premise.
There is also the fact that there is a new Candyman movie being released this year, and it'd be a very good promotion to have him added to Dead by Daylight, even if his main methods of killing his victims is through manipulation or ghostly shenanigans similar to Freddy Kruger in his Dream Worlds.
I also don't see Pyramid Head as being a character because of his typical depiction in Silent Hill games. He is a slow, lumbering thing that is dragging an oversized and cumbersome weapon that completely contrasts every other killer in the game. And we have no real way of determining a power for him. Not going to deny that it'd be really fun to have him though.
Bee puns and the fact that honey is sweet, and he was smeared in honey before being torched alive. Along with the stylised 4 that looks very similar to the hook depicted in promotional material for the new movie.

It probably is candyman because his movie is being rebooted. The devs might get a sweet discount for advertising him as it comes out. Plus the tweet. We all know how they love to tease us. Like when they hinted they were getting the Creeper then they found out his owner is a pedophile.
Jason is pretty much off limits until the law suit is over and those can take years to work out.
It would be pretty cool if we got pinhead and 3 other cenobyites. Like legion they would be an alternate costume.
Silent Hill isn't as big as some of the other horror icons mentioned. Though Candyman isn't that big either imo. The devs aren't going to want a killer a few people know. They want someone who will bring in a ######### ton of people and keep their game going a little bit longer. There is a killer shortage and instead of fixing the game they'll get permission to use someone famous to get more people playing killer. Then they'll see the horrible MM and ask for their money back.
