Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Bond could be the most toxic survivor perk ever if used wrongly!

I was doing a gen when the other survivor left in the trial was downed by killer.

I navigated my way to the other side of the map to pick him up and stay hidden.

But this coward while being chased by the killer, used Bond perk to come to my hiding location to let the killer know of my spot TWICE! The first time killer did not see me, then 2nd time he came back again within 3 seconds and this time killer saw me.

The killer also has no chill and try hard 4k. If I was the killer I would hv let the victim for and let the troll knows it is unacceptable.

Question to devs: isn't it consider as helping/working with the killer if the survivor using bond perk to bring killer to other survivor's location?! It is time for u guys to do something!

See it for yourself:

This is why you don't help them

    killer just wants the 4k

even if you save him the killer will either down him again or down both of you

it's best to leave him to bleed

also 4 gens and the match is like that?

I hate players that use bond like that, it's purpose is to use it the opposite way.

Exactly. And Considered I did not hide or wait for hatch, I went to save him. Some people are just d1*ks.

And you think anyone will have any sympathy for you with an attitude like that?

Yeah it sucks that that happened but how do you address a perk like that as a whole when its not common occurrence even? Also killer sweat for a 4k? Thats literally THEIR GOAL and how were they supposed to cop for sure that your teammate had bond.

Literally get over yourself and move on to the next match, its not ruining every game.

    Interesting video.

What do we see: You are hiding, walking around and doing more or less nothing.

What we dont see: The Dwight is actually using Bond.

I want to see the whole video. Not because it would change a lot but rather to see if i am right why Dwight gave away your location. If it is the way as it seems, i feel more for the Dwight then for you. Proof us wrong.

Bond is not toxic. Its the players who abuse it for the wrong reasons. I mean the same thing could be done with empathy. Don't blame the perk, blame the player.

I always felting someone is running bond and they are in a chase...If they are heading towards a survivor the game makes them turn away...like when you step in hags trap. The game should prevent you if you get a certain distance.

If you had to save everyone, then why is your alturism score in this game so low? (See the score "ring" when you healed dwight)

Dwight wasn't intentionally working with the killer, rather he wanted to get her off his tail.

Watch to the end when it goes to watching dwight, you can briefly see his perks. Bond was one of them.

Eh, 1 bad game doesn't mean anything. Welcome to Dead by Daylight. Regardless of whether or not that Dwight gave away your hiding spot, you were not finishing 4 gens, especially against a Spirit. Maybe hatch at best. But again, it's Spirit, she'd likely beat you to it.

Now I feel like you're lying to make up for a bad game that you posted here to show everyone. Notice how when you healed Dwight, your altruism showed up? That thing was nearly empty. You clearly have not been saving 'everyone'. Looks like 1 UNSAFE unhook at most.

But hey, nothing we can do about toxic survivors who place blame on literally everyone else in the game :^)

I've had teammates who seemed to sand bag me several times during a match only to get out and see they had bond. It is pretty toxic, but there's nothing you can do about someone whose whole mission is to be an #########. You can't stop Killers from doing it. You can't stop survivors from doing it. 🤷 The only thing I do to try and alleviate this is when I play Killer, I don't take the bait. I don't punish someone's team members for their ######### plays. I don't go for sand bagged teammates. I don't go for freshly off-hooked survivors if someone farms them in front of me. I go for the sand baggers and farmers themselves. Teach them a lesson about being a good teammate. LOL

    Bond, OOO, Unbreakable, Deliverance.

Lead killer to other survivors. Safe rescue at least 1 guy and you aren't reliant on other survivors.

Uhhh, yeah you are. If you are running OoO without sole survivor even if everyone else dies it just means the killer is going to instantly come and kill you and you don't get a chance to find the hatch. And sole survivor doesn't even work right now.

The toxic build would be something like bond, red herring, deliverance, spine chill and a key. Find survivors working on gens, red herring the gen, spine chill to avoid any aggro yourself, and take the hatch out once everyone is dead.

Sole Survivor is complete doo doo butter. Anyone knows that. You can't be serious with that statement? Just don't look in the killer's direction.

And you want Deliverance/Unbreakable because other survivors will refuse to help you.

This is a common problem regardless if people are running the perk or not. It's because instead of the team mindset a lot of people have a selfish mindset. I used to run empathy/bond so I knew exactly who was getting chased and if they were running my way to screw me.

There's tons of stealth killers in the game, and it's almost impossible for the killer not to catch any glimpses of you when you are running object. It's not like the other survivors will know you are running the killer into them either way, they will probably just think it's coincidence. There's also a chance that the killer just tunnels you and ignores everyone else because you have object.

Sole survivor is great with object imo, because if the killer just ignores you and kills off your weaker team members you are in a really bad spot. You can also get stopped from making saves with object, especially against 1 shot killers. It's super powerful having 3 stacks when everyone is dead, especially if you have left behind and a key as well. I'd only use object by itself along with a map offering, to make sure I don't get stuck using object against a ghostface on lery's or something.

Either way, I think red herring would be just as good for luring the killer into your team. And they would have no idea you were doing it as well. You could have like bond, open handed, left behind, red herring, your key, and just enjoy the show while sitting next to a locker.

That's why you go near other survivors before looking at the killer, so they think it was one of them with OOO.

If you get a stealth killer you just take extra care to not look around.

And as someone who has been using Red Herring for a few days now, it's not as effective as you think at luring the killer. Maybe at the start of the game but it's value is in having the killer second guess if they kicked a gen or not.

I am pretty sure OoO takes priority over DS in terms of becoming the obsession, or it feels that way. So the killer probably won't fall for that. You can also see the outline clear enough to know which survivor character the object user is playing as.

If your team is all dead and you have OoO, even one glimpse is liable to get you found against a stealth killer. Only sole survivor will protect you in that case, it's a shame it's been broken for months now.....

And I find the most use out of red herring in losing games, after a few people are dead but there's still gens left. That's when you can red herring a gen on one side of the map, walk to the other, and red herring before starting a gen on the other side. Otherwise there's usually too many other survivors around to distract the killer instead.

Why are you using self care in 2020?

Self caring yourself wastes too much time where you could be using to repair a generator. Replace self care with resilience not only are you being rewarded for being injured, but it goes great with spine chill to create a fast vault build.

Once you stop using self care, the better chances you have of escaping and ranking up.

There is nothing wrong with self-care. Folks get down on it, but look at this video as an example, she gets Dwight off the ground and heads off. He is injured and there are only the 2 of them. Had he had the opportunity to get away from the killer, he would have been stuck. I have switched to using Inner Strength because it is faster but I do not go into a match generally w/o heals. I am a red rank survivor (4).

Now I have had folks with bond use it to sand bag and lead the killer and that sucks. What Dwight did in this video sucks but Kate also got him up, left him injured and made no attempt to distract the killer or lead her away from the injured guy. So I can understand why Dwight was mad about how this was going down.

Not knowing more info but seeing that they needed 4 gens, the best idea most likely would have been to let Dwight bleed out and make it a hatch game. This round obviously went very bed before Dwight was leading the killer to Kate.

I've been a rank 1 survivor since September 2018 (minus a few months where I took breaks from the game). Survivors shouldn't be using self care at red ranks. Healing yourself wastes too much time, time you should be using to repair generators, cleansing totems, saving team mates. As long you plan your chase routes properly you shouldn't need to worry about needing to heal yourself.

Also if you spend more time working on generators you'll need to heal less anyway, as the game will be shorter.

Did you watch a different video? She clearly maneuvered around to save Dwight, then did the smart thing and tried to hide/evade as the killer was obviously using Dwight as bait. Then Dwight sold her out. Doing nothing? She just saved a slugged player. ######### do you want her to do? This is why you don't go for the save in a solo que.
