Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

For me it’s when I’m playing against the doctor. When I went up against a few people who overly used his shock ability. My other one I hate is the wraith and half of the killer mains who use him when Invisible. I’m not discouraging anyone who plays either of the two sometimes I had good games with them I just sometimes want to scream 😱😂. My other would be teammates who you heal and when your on the hook they leave you to die 🙁. Which I mean is his or her choice sometimes I prefer to just die and they don’t save me 👌.

I load into a match and see the sleep timer on the players names. Instant groan and enthusiasm for the match depleted.

I personally have the opposite reaction.

It's more excitement when I see those sleep timers. Because I know at least the Killer won't be easy to escape from like every other Killer in the game, and I do find Survivor rather dull until I get matched up with one of those fine specimens of a Killer.

    ---

As for what I hate the most, playing against and with Survivors on the other side of the world. Their teleportation all over the place is just annoying to deal with and it makes me wish I was playing another match.

One or both of these happening:

-Someone DCing or giving up right at the start.

-The survivors/killer clearly not being at my level (either too weak or too strong relative to me).

Hag, Hag and the Hag, SWF, broken perks, keys, DC-s to give hatch, dumbass totem spawns that discurages me from using any hex perk rather than NoED, Blendette (useless teammates and fustrating to go against), the killer shack ecpecially with strong tiles close to it, survivors who leave instantly without trying to save the last guy in trouble which also makes deliverance useless even if you have it up coupled with DS.

Survivors killing themselves. Doesn't matter which side I'm on, it just ruins the game and robs me of points and emblems.

The game itself to be honest. Everything just gets to me somehow. I really love it and have spent tons of money...but the fun just isn't there a lot of the time. Maybe if there was skilled based matchmaking,or they at least didn't put me against people 10+ ranks above me,I'd feel different. I don't want them to be weak, because that's not fun for me or them...just a bit more even and fair.

Sometimes I find bad teammates are the real killer 😂 When they give out your hideout . And the Person playing as the killer is my best teammate 👍. Cause sometimes the actual killer will go for the other teammate instead as I make a run for it. So thank you killers out there who go for trouble making teammates instead of the person who the teammate tried to have killed instead of them.

    "Fine specimens"

So you enjoy having to work on gens longer, and you enjoy shorter and less interactive chases? Good for you, but I'd face Spirit over Freddy because at least her chases aren't completely linear and I can do gens at a normal pace. The strength of the killer doesn't even matter that much when it comes to challenge, a clown can still be a god at chase and do basement plays and make the trial real challenging. And a Freddy can be a potato who barely knows the killer who never learned how to mindgame or keep track of generators. Overall, Freddy's kit is very bland and I will never have a positive affinity towards it no matter how "challenging" it is and "on the edge" I have to be. I have the same attitude towards one-hook moris.

I hate it when survivors give up. As survivor I like having a chance to escape against a challenging killer and this ruins that. As killer everyone hides and doesn't do gens unless I farm with them. Farming is dull.

    • Suiciding on hook. The game isn't fun for either side once someone's given up
    • RBT kills rob me of my points. I get 500 sacrifice points and 0 deviousness points for killing someone with my power? A normal hook sacfifice gives you 1000 points in the sacrifice category. RBT kills should give you 1000 deviousness points and 2000 sacrifice points so I can still get merciless killer after someone dies to an RBT. It's so stupid that the game punishes Pig for killing people with her power.

To be honest I sometimes give up running from the killer because majority of them are faster than survivors. However I do try my best to outrun them as much as possible.

Hag.. Not fun to face. She usually camps and I don't find it fun having to crouch walk just incase she placed a trap somewhere. Also the fact that my camera turns toward a trap I set off is also extremely annoying.

Spirit - Hate guessing games. I don't run iron will, so the moment I become injured I feel like there's nothing I can do at that point.

Hag with bad teammates - Gotta love it when the player you unhook just bolts through the traps and gets smacked back down again.

Killers who tunnel off hook to Mori them instantly - Fun game

That's where we disagree. I love the pig lol think she can be very fun to face and her traps add a new thing to do besides just rushing gens.

Also playing her and getting a head pop is the best.

Another one for me is killers that hit you you go and hide somewhere they find you as your healing Halfway and slug you. Sometimes I’m like yeah you know I’m not the only survivor here there are others. Now I know it’s so they can slow the game down with 3 remaining survivors but come on killers let the injured have a chance to heal themselves 😀. I’m not trying to complain here or anything I just always felt that it’s not fun to be the one on the receiving end being the killers victim sometimes 😁. But I’m usually fine if I’m down cause it gives me a chance to try to crawl to a near by survivor.

    Waffleyumboy Member Posts: 7,318

I would love the pig, her kit is actually pretty fun, but the people I face who play her do so just because she has built in insidious for camping and tunneling. The Pig, Hag, and GF are good examples of good killers ruined by the people who use them.

When playing as killer and the whole game is fun, intense and fair, and suddenly at exit gate they start to t-bag for some reason.

  • CashelP14
    CashelP14 Member Posts: 5,564

100% agree. Some pigs just tunnel which is extremely annoying but her camping doesn't usually cause me any problems. I don't mind if the pig camps a box since personally I love seeing the head pop animation. Ghostface never causes problems when camping either tbh. Hag however will trap a full 16m around the hook and without really good coordination and bt that survivor is dead or someone trades.

  • NinjaDette1
    NinjaDette1 Member Posts: 1,289

Believe me I’m not usually one to dance at the exit gates. But if a killer was purposely trying to ruin the game for me by being a failed tryhard. Then I will definitely make sure to bag them at the gate on my way out 😏.

Seeing the map loading a farm map.

God I hate those maps. Give me haddonfield with 4 survivors running balance landing and i still have more fun then playing on a farm map.

Some of the rift challenges. I'm somewhat of a completionist by nature, and a few of the challenges really drive me up a wall.

Survivors who dc or suicide on hook early.

Playing as or against the Spirit. I suck with/against her 😭

  • Waffleyumboy
    Waffleyumboy Member Posts: 7,318

I agree that it's not problematic, it's just annoying and repetitive. In solo queue my teammates get gimped by this strategy sometimes which also sucks. These are really just minor nitpicks of camping as a whole, these killers are just an indication of its effects.

That’s me with the doctor 😱😱😱. I went up against a doctor last week who constantly kept using his shock to annoy us survivors.

  • CashelP14
    CashelP14 Member Posts: 5,564

There's a reason I stopped trying to get good randoms on solo que long ago lol if I'm getting tunneled or camped I can at least tell my team what they should do. Btw speaking of pig we had a random teammate die to the bear trap the other day. She ran out the door while it was active even though the killer wasn't chasing her.

    She was a rank 2..

    Mapwise: Haddonfield.

    Survivor: Overaltruism.

Killer: Nice Swing. Would be a shame if you hit the wall/tree next to the survivor.

I can understand it happening a few times after the pig was released but not 2 years later 😂 will say it was pretty funny to see

Hate is a strong word, I dislike people who do not play both sides of DBD.

I realise there are exceptions but it is the selfish mentality behind it.

Yes “hate” is a strong word you’re absolutely right. But how else is a person going to express themselves to describe stuff?. This isn’t school we’re they dictate what you can say and not say. I’m not trying to act rude towards you In anyway. It’s just a public forum we’re we can somewhat Express ourselves with some kind of free speech and thoughts 🤷‍♂️.

I don't really have hate in this game.

Closest i can think of is having an intense match with my man Wraith and i can't manage to sacrifice anyone before all Generators are done, though i'm still having fun and i do get some hookings at least.

Then when they actually do finish the 5th & i see 3 or 4 Adrenalines pop, it's like a gigantic knife stabbing my motivation to keep trying...

...Oh wait, i hate hackers & cheaters.

I feel you’re pain happened to myself a few times. I just go 🤷‍♂️ In my mind when it happens. Although sometimes I think some killers will specifically go for me just because they know I’m Claudette. But not all killers of course though . Sometimes I think they are quick to assume that all Claudette’s or whatever character people have as their main some killers will specifically target you only cause they believe in whatever Toxic bias they read online about certain characters and the bias people have towards them.

It sucks man. The main thing that annoys me is that there is literrally no way to fight that without using corrupt. Which i dont have, so no matter how well you play, they genrush better.

happened to myself here and there and personally. Sometimes I think people are quick to judge and assume that all Claudette mains are toxic flashlight clicking but dancers. But I never but dance unless a killer was a tryhard trying to ruin the game for survivors. I mean all characters have some kind of bias that people created. It just comes down to the person behind the screen and how they may act differently in real life then they do in game. I’m not saying that it’s childish teenagers but some of the things I’ve heard people say on the forums and or in egc before I put it on friends only. Had some pretty obnoxious adults Trying to say stuff they would never say face to face with someone outside the game. Believe me I had a few killers messages me with all kinds of salt it made me laugh though cause I sometimes can understand people’s frustration with the game. And or they had a bad game previously before and take it out on the survivors in the next game.

The thing that gets me the most is just being left on a hook when there isn't a reason to be (i.e. being facecamped etc)

I dislike being able to see the team's behaviour and foresee what's going to happened.

The struggle mechanic. It adds nothing to the game for skill or anything else and due to pain in my hands I'm unable to play survivor anymore because of constantly spamming the same button with such an incredibly small delay or you just die.

I SORT of understand the Wiggle mechanic, but Wiggles needs to be changed and Struggle needs to be straight up removed. Despite anything I think about gen times, or 2nd objectives or balance changing I'm no longer able to play half of the game so that's my top pick. :(

I would like to add that also when the killer just Stands in front of you and hits you so teammates can’t rescue you. And when the killer leaves your teammates go to rescue you and you die.

Waiting for a lobby and then getting into a loading screen only for someone to DC and get booted right back to character select screen. It's better then someone DCing at the start of the match and having to play that game though.
