Question from the curious 🤔

So where in the blue hell did some people get the idea that release day would be today?
I am asking out of curiosity because this has been posted on every DBD thread from Reddit to Facebook.

Thanks for replies!

Wild guess, the devs officially confirmed that no release date has been and is gonna be anounced during the last devstream.

But I guess the brainless sheeps see anything on the internet believe its true and continue the spam

The wiki said it and today is around the same time as curtain call did hence why people thought it was today but most people are angry at the fact they won’t even say “it’s not today sorry stay tuned” instead of “soon tm” which would cause fake hype and disappointment

This is where the problem is. It is not a Devs problem at all. Someone who assumes something is coming is just adding to the issues and the mess. The devs may not have planned it to release today, but people thought that was the case. In almost all previous DLCs the teaser would be announced and 2-3 weeks later the DLC would come out. That is where this assumption came from.

HOWEVER, BHVR never stated an official release date. So it is our fault for ASSUMING something. Why is it so hard for people to just wait until an official announcement to come.

The Wiki said that is is NOT CONFIRMED.

If you people can't be bothered to read things properly, you have no right complaining.

because bhvr doesnt always do an announcment so when streamers say a date its pretty much an official announcment

OHHHHH RIGHT...someone who does not officially work for the company is saying something they read on a forum post somewhere else. Yep, that is a credible source of knowledge.

Again, assumptions are the key to all that is evil in this game. Just wait and quit assuming things will happen until they are announced on an OFFICIAL account of BHVR.

Mid chapter update was released six weeks after The Clown.

It made sense for the next DLC to be released 7 weeks after that.

Unless theres more than 52 weeks in a year, lol.

well streamers are the most reliable source for example admiralbahroo accidently leaked that the spirit was female and that her power could be countered by sprint burst and both was true because streamers are just often the announcers for bhvr also as i already said bhvr doesnt really announce stuff so i cant wait for an announcment from them.

"NOT CONFIRMED" was added to that wiki message recently. Maybe a day or 2 days ago. Do some research first and educate yourself, then talk. There was no "not confirmed" earlier, it just said "11 september".

Well , can you expect much from the DbD community, that's filled with crybabies (not everyone) who like to complain about everything? Of course they will use even a rumor or something some streamer said as a source.
I was waiting for today just to see how many crying posts there will be, because I had a feeling there will be nothing coming today.

This is the problem. While streamers are valued members of the community and many times do sign NDAs which allow them early looks at the content they are not official members of the BHVR team. Many, yell and scream to fix the game or that it is broken. Some even quit playing altogether, while I enjoy watching them, I know they are not paid members who sit daily on planning meetings in the community. They have a job which requires them to gain hype for their own channel. So why not create hype by spreading information that may not be entirely right to get viewers to come to their channel.

I like Bahroo, he is an amazing streamer, but in many cases, I just wait until BHVR sends out a tweet or officially puts the DLC on the store. Then I know it is ready.
