I havent heard it anywhere. But I did wonder this morning if they might do more than one killer for a change.

I have seen the speculation on Jason, Pinhead, Pyramid head and Candyman (clue do look a little Candyman like). but, had anyone thought about the Puppet Master.....

Wikipedia has a very tough vetting process. It is more likely to be true than IMDB.

Dev's can be working on a new one while another is being tested on the PTB, or more than one dev team on a killer each. They dont have to concentrate on one necessarily. Though, from a financial point of view and wanting to keep interest going in a 4 year old game, I wouldn't release 2 at once.

I'm guessing you're talking to me - yes, I am aware. That doesn't change the fact that they have a strict schedule to adhere to. It takes more than 3 months from inception to launch for each DLC, but that doesn't mean they have a bunch of free time during that period. They've still got a lot to work on at any given moment, so I can't really imagine them finding time to work on a whole new DLC in amongst that without cutting some serious corners.

Yeah they work on several killers ahead of time, so it's possible. But it'd be harder for them to balance 2 killers at once (if both DLCs include a killer, and not just a survivor or something else) so I don't know if they'd do it. Maybe they'll pleasantly surprise us but nothing is guaranteed until the devs say it so we'll just have to wait and see

Wasn't Nightmare released over a month after Cannibal came out?

Ya I think so , that was back to back , so maybe same deal for the 4th anniversary , maybe?

It would be insane to see two killers and two survivors in one chapter release. It would definitely jack up the price though, probably to about 12 dollars.

Anything is possible but until I hear it from the horses mouth I am always skeptical about any leaks.

My opinion, the new Killer has something to do with gold and oil. The teaser image has the 4 made of gold, the background looks to be gold metal covered in oil, and the skull itself is also made of gold covered in oil.

We can ignore the skull itself. That has been unofficially confirmed to be no more than part of the DbD tally mark logo. The oil might be worth ignoring as well. Can't really say if it should though for a couple of reasons. Oil is called "back gold" and oil has had nothing to do with DbD in the past. But the gold itself is something to focus on if you ask me. If you compare the 4th year teaser with the 3rd year teaser, everything shown is part of the hint. So it is safe to assume the 4th year teaser would do the same. Font used plus background color and materials.

But I simply can't find anything in horror that fits everything. And the common suggestions here don't either. Candy Man has nothing to do with the metal or color gold nor oil plus the font is off as well. Pyramid Head's head shape fits the font VERY well and oil could be blood so old and rotten it turned black, but I can't recall anything about gold in any Silent Hill games/movies.

Iv spent a too long to admit now doing random google searches looking over horror images for movies/games/books trying to find anything. The same font. Something based around gold or oil. Nothing comes close to fitting all 3. Got even less for "classic" horror.

Maybe the gold and oil isn't literal gold and oil. Golden age? Black and white films?

For all I know. The new Killer could be from "The Man Who Laughs".

Don´t forget... it´s supposed to be an "iconic" Killer... there aren´t that many iconic Killers left. Pennywise and Jason are Iconic... Slenderman and Pinhead also mights still fit that Term. Also all of the classic Horror-Movie Monsters are iconic. Candyman, Pyramidhead or laughing men are not... just saying

2 dlc slots popped up on steam, doesn't meant they're both going to release. If they had Candyman pretty ready to go, but delayed it to Sept and went with a different killer, it would also explain seeing this.

B&W candidates - Nosferatu, Island of Lost Souls, the Blob, karloff/universal monsters of various sorts.

Safe to ignore the Blob. Can't recall the exact quote, but I seem to remember that there wouldn't be any more "monster" type Killers afer Demogorgon who would need unique skeletons. DbD is mainly human Survivors and human Killers in the lore, we was lucky enough to get my little Rawr-gon.

Nosferatu, a vampire Killer could work and can have a multitude of powers. Paralyzing eyes, looking at him slows/stuns you. Transformations, unlikely for animals but mist/fog is an option. Vampire lore is VERY open for DbD.

Island of Lost Souls, I would LOVE to see a mutant or man-beast Killer! Can't think how it wouldn't fit in DbD.

Karloff or other Universal classics. Anything is possible really. Though I have my doubts on getting a big name movie monster like Frank or Imhotep.

They'll probably make more monsters IF given the unique skeletal rig. I also really can't recall them ever saying they won't do monsters again.

Yeah, all points that are in my head as well. Blob is unlikely, but may be able to slip by as it might be a lot easier to rig an amorphous blob than something that needs to imitate an actual skeleton? It definitely has issues in the lore.

I'd giggle like a schoolgirl to hear a dbd killer screaming "Are we not men???"

The biggest kicker for vampire, Wolfman, imhotep, drac, is that they could easily do them without a license, as the general character isn't under copyright. Hell, Frank could be a stitched up flesh golem that was just their early "smasher" idea. It would also be quite difficult to bring in a licensed version of the Wolfman or mummy and have it be recognizable as the actual license version. Frank and Drac would have more luck there.

Stop hyping me up for that. I mean we got 2 survivors at the same time. We could get 2 killers but again it's unlikely.

    Idk, could happen.

I mean, it was a one-time thing so far & nothing else special was going on at the time.

    But there's always a chance i guess.
