Kill Switch update: We have temporarily disabled The Legion due to an issue that allows for infinite power spam. The Legion will be re-enabled once this issue is fixed.

A little more pressure on Survivors.

Just a small idea to add a little more pressure on Survivors here : How about a timer when you’re hit and bleeding, that if you don’t get healed to full, you go into dying state. It would be long of course, like two minutes or possibly more, but it would add a little more urgency and more weight to being injured.

This would also alleviate some issues with Stealth Killers who get the initial hit, but end up getting Looped for 2-3 minutes straight because their powers are useless in a chase.

Plus, it makes sense. Your losing Blood and running your ass off.

I dont even use sc anymore, and this would have to make me put it back.
I play solo 90% of the time, and cannot rely on team mates, I dont want to use the meta perks, and like to play around with builds.

Plus there are many situations where it could be abused, if not everyone uses sc. Bodyblocking someone in the basement for example.
I want killers to be able to put more pressure too, but not by making some perks a must to survive.

I'm cool with that. Maybe a base of 5 min timer but when running bleeds faster, making it down to 2-3 minutes.
Giving a base of 5 minutes would punish any killer who decides to bodyblock.

Let’s face it, what would it matter if it did? The only ones who don’t already use it are those who enjoy a challenge or want to experience the game without it.

You could use Bond or Pharmacy. This wouldn’t force you to have it. It wouldn’t really be all that hugely impacting. You would be hard pressed to either not be downed or healed with the large time frame you’re allowed.

Or just add it onto the mangled perk and addons that cause heavy bleeding

Not only that, but perhaps that if the Survivor stands still and does not preform any action or movement for 1 minute, the timer is put on hold.

This would stop body blocking abuse from Killers (or grieving Survivor players).

I would more be inclined that the perk and add ons would mearly speed up the timer and have you bleed out faster.

The devs just need to nerf Self-care. Right now it is more efficient for two injured survivors to heal themselves via Self-care then it is to heal each other. Once it is made more efficient to heal each other some balance will be restored. I say we make Self-care longer or slower.

Self-Care is the problem. This is a mechanic i've suggested before, but the existence of Self-care as it is now ruins it. A mechanic where injured Survivors bleed out and eventually go into the Dying state would be a fine solution to many of the shenanigans we see in this game, and bleeding faster while running would promote stealth as a viable tactic again. Alternately, revisit the idea of a 'weakened state', wherein once you've been injured or downed it takes longer and longer to heal each time. Then Self-care could stay as-is and injury would actually matter. Maybe after 3 hits or 1 down you just plain get mangled for the rest of the game, and ONLY a medkit can remove it, not self-care.

Players like me who don't use self care doesn't enjoy the challenge necessarily. I genuinely believe that that perk is not very strong. Bond is better and has more usage than that perk.

It will force survivors to use a perk. Yes for the majority of community, SC is a must have but many good survivors don't even use that perk. Angrypug, Jendenise are a couple of examples.

Killers are forced to use some perks like Ruin and BBQ. Many of them can not freely choose the perks that they want to use because of some game mechanics. Instead of creating more problems for the opposite side, we should focus on how to give killers more freedom when they are choosing their perks.

The reason why I generally talked about perks is because your suggestion seems like it forces survivors to use a perk.

Also, although it might help stealth killers, there are killers like the nurse, huntress, billy etc. This will make them stronger.
