This is my idea for a killer. Constructive criticism welcome!
Killer name: The Blind
Name: Rebecca Green
Backstory: As a devoted single mother of 2, Rebecca poured everything into her career, and making a life for herself and her children. One day on her way home from work, she was abducted by an unknown assailant. She was subjected to hideous forms of torture including the removal of her eyes with a knife. Somehow she escaped and ambushed her captor by lying in wait until she heard him re-enter the room. She stabbed him over and over with the shard of glass she used to free herself from her bindings, her cries of anguish eventually evolving into a sick sense of pleasure. As she revelled in his agony, she felt a dark presence as a mysterious fog swirled into the room. Though she could not see, she could still hear the screams coming through the fog. And she smiled.
Terror Radius:24 M
Movement Speed: 110%
Height: Short
Difficulty: Hard
General: The Blind is a unique killer in that she cannot actually see, but instead relies on a form of echolocation or "sonar" to fill in her surroundings. She can still see the edges and general details of walls, pallets/loops and structures all indicated by a faint reddish/orange glow outlining them. The louder something nearby her is, the more clearly she can "see" it. She cannot sense survivors when they are walking, but if they start sprinting/fast vault/are injured they emit pulses of sound which she can use to locate and down them. She also has the added benefit of being able to loosely track survivors through walls by listening to/sensing their footsteps if they are sprinting.
Survivors can tell if the blind is nearby before hearing the heartbeat by listening for her crying, similar to the huntress' humming, and Freddy's dream world children singing. Aura reading perks like Barbeque and Chili, Nurse's Calling, I'm All Ears and all
others still work for The Blind.
Her "vision" would look something like this. The louder something is, the clearer she can "see" it.
Power: Focus.
The Blind's Focus ability allows her to concentrate and hone her remaining senses to aquire a general picture of her surroundings. While Focus is activated The Blind will be able to sense everything in a 32 meter radius very clearly, regardless of if it is making noise or not. This includes seeing survivors even when they are walking. Survivors can tell if The Blind has activated her power by the sound cue of a soft, rhythmic breathing she emits, which interrupts her usual cries. The Blind's Focus ability lasts for 15 seconds by default, with a 20 second cooldown. Cooldown is reduced if The Blind ends her power prematurely. If The Blind hits a survivor while using Focus she will be momentarily overwhelmed by the sound of their screams and be disoriented, ending her power. The effect is similar to the nurse's teleport fatigue, but without the stun.
Perks: Mother's Intuition, Hex: Deafen, Watchful Eye
Level 30: Mother's Intuition
Parents always seem to have eyes in the back of their head.
If a survivor comes within a certain distance (14, 20, 28 M) behind you, the perk activates and notifies you of their presence through the perk symbol lighting up, with a (50, 40, 30) second cooldown.
Level 35: Hex: Deafen
Their cries for help fall on deaf ears.
When Hex: Deafen is equipped and you hit a survivor with a basic attack, they are affected by the 'Deafened' status effect for as long as the Hex Totem remains up. Survivors affected by the Deafened status effect will be un
able to hear any audio aside from the heartbeat from the killer's terror radius. The heartbeat while deafened will begin 4 meters closer than normal. Killers affected by the 'Undetectable' status will not be heard. The hex can affect up to (2, 3, 4) survivors.
Level 40: Watchful Eye
They always say they don't pick favorites. They lie.
You become obsessed with a survivor. Whenever you enter a chase with the obsession, the auras of all other survivors are revealed to you for 2 seconds, with a (60, 50, 40) second cooldown. You may not have more than one obsession.
Mori:
The Blind kneels down and places her hands on either side of the survivor's head, and proceeds to insert her thumbs into their eye sockets, pushing their eyeballs back into their skull. Blood is seen gushing from their eyes and their screams can be heard until The Blind tires of them and forcibly snaps their neck, with the final shot being of the survivor's body facing the camera with bloody eye sockets.

Its a really cool idea, idk if Id like to be blind like that tho 😂 but id buy her and try it out.
Of nothing else id buy it just for the hex perk

Hmmm I have mixed feelings here and there.
Let's start with the name of the killer.
Grammar nazism prevents me from accepting calling someone "the blind". It just doesn't sound good in a sentence.
The backstory is a bit generic imo. But it doesn't matter too much and I can see what kind of point is being conveyed.
Her passive/power.
Okay. So, this is where it gets a bit offkey for me. She's essentially an m1 killer with a lot of aura reading. She would also probably be a very strong killer considering you kinda always know where to go, meaning the logic behind having a patrol route is pretty much void.
Also her main counter would probably be Iron Will, which brings us to spirit stridor vibes all over again.
I was gonna say a thing about having a killer that is unable to see incoming flashlight saves etc but with the power depending on how it's set up could counter to that.
You mentioned sonar/ echo location?
Is this a passive here where she pulsates an echo and it bounces back to her? Because, echo location is used by animals like bats and dolphins, and the waves bouncing back draw a sort of image in their heads. (With this she could technically see survivors in front of her who are not exactly moving)
Perks
- reverse premonition sounds like a cool idea, but there should be an audio cue that the perk is triggered too imo. (Same way as PM)
- this hex perk would be similar to third seal. I think it would definitely present a good threat if it's done right. It would definitely be strong on a killer like nurse and spirit. But iirc third seal works on a maximum of 3 survivors. Having it affect all 4 might be a bit too strong.
The last perk might also be a bit too strong despite only a reveal for 2 seconds. With no range limit it surpasses BBQ. Combine this with Nemesis and you know where you're going all the time as well.

Hey, I mean, you're blind half the time when playing a killer anyway, right?

I liked the post you made because it's always refreshing to hear what the entity has taken and put in DBD but here's my issues with it.
Story: I like how I say she works hard and provides for her kids. Instead of her being kidnapped make her make a mistake at work or make it seem like an unseen force was causing her to act crazy and then CPS takes her kids away. Then shortly after she loses her job. This holds more weight then she is just randomly kidnapped for me. You know she's completely broken at this point and the entity can call to her and she'll do whatever. Have her pull her eyes out when she sees her kids with someone else. Like they got adopted.
Power: Now I like the power but for 110% movement speed you need to have a power that ends chases quickly. From what it seems like She naturally has a sense of her surroundings and naturally the sounds is what she's attracted to. How about when she activates her power she gains a 5% Movement speed and another buff to actively help in chase. As it stands you just use the power to help locate survivors. You don't actually have a way though to end the chase faster then pallet loop pallet repeat. Plus if they start walking while your power is on cooldown you run a risk of losing them. Again it's sound based It makes the power seem good for location but for chases it's kinda weak. Increase the movement speed or add something else to the power.
Perks: I love all the perks.
Let me know what you think.

"Let's start with the name of the killer. Grammar nazism prevents me from accepting calling someone "the blind". It just doesn't sound good in a sentence."
I'd ask about the name The Bat, but then I'm sure that someone would follow up with "The Submarine, Mr. Wayne... The Submarine."
The Scorned?

I was thinking about taking some of your advice and giving her 115% movement speed while using her power, and maybe also making her not have a terror radius while it's active. So while she uses Focus, survivors would only hear the breathing, similar to how you can only hear singing when in Freddy's dream world when he is nearby. Do you guys think this might give her power a bit more of an advantage besides just finding people? If not what ideas do you guys have that might help her power with chases/catching survivors?

"The scorned" sounds a tad bit better.
I was thinking "The Lost" because she can't see where she's going lol

Im not a fan of taking away basic tracking away from killers (scratchmarks, seeing survs as spirit etc).
Normally in "blind" concepts (" press m2 to become a m1 killer temporarily" lol), the killer isnt even given vision of the map, which your lady thankfully has. Your concept reminds me of the echo-visor of metroid prime 2.
Now for the gameplay: she's a modified 110% mirror myers on a cooldown. While she doesnt reveal aura's, according to your description the color of objects around survivors would change colors if theyre running or while you focus. Probably unintended, but it reminds me of that tracking mode in the new hide-or-die. (Gray vision except general location of survivors).
Generally speaking it's a good concept for a killer, but details could break her. I think it'd be mostly the visual presentation of her auditory information.
"Can she see the sounds behind an object obstructing her view?" for example.
Not gonna bother with perks because it should be about the killer, not the perks for others.

Love the drawing lol. If this isn't a full blueprint of the killer then it's definitely a good base for the developers to work on.
