Freddy Power Buff

Hello all y'all folks of the entity.

I had been thinking about several changes to our dearest Sweater boi- and now I would like to present one change that would help Freddy drastically in chases and give him the dream changing abilities he always deserved.

With Freddy you now can activate a secondary ability. This ability can be cast on pallets and vaults. After a few seconds these vaults and pallets have a different effect for you and bend in your dream world.

Let's start off with vault locations. If you hit your secondary ability button and channel over a window, it changes this location in your favor. Any window will turn into the usual empty jungle gym window, but only for you as Freddy player. Survivors will still have to vault over. Next off you can do the same to empty windows, creating false vaults for survivors, which they have to use, while you can simply run through. These vaults created by you cause survivors to medium-speed vault.

Next up are pallets. You can channel your power on pallets, making them practically 'ghost pallets'. Freddy can simply walk through these pallets. You can channel this ability on undropped pallets aswell, but if the pallet hits, it will stun you. Simply wait out and bait or get stunned and then walk through.

To balance it a little bit I thought that you maybe can only use your secondary ability on five spots, windows or pallets, at one time. Besides, if this goes through we need to take out his ability to see you outside of his terror radius.

This is only one idea I had for Freddy, so please tell me what you think.

I like the idea, it also fits to the dream world. But I think the main problem of Freddy is that he needs 3 hits. I mean first of all you have to pull a survivor in a dream. That takes a lot of time. I think we need to change the way how survivors are pulled into dreams.

The 2nd problem of Freddy is that he gets easily destroyed by SWF. I mean you can easily pull someone out of dream. I think it should be more difficult to get out of the dream - but idk how to change the current mechanic.

I don't know how to fix him, but I think the most critical point is that he needs 3 hits. I mean every Freddy player knows how frustrating it is when the last gen goes on. Freddy can get trolled easily because he can't hit survivors when they aren't in the dream world. Maybe after the last gen is on everybody is pulled into the dream world? But this would be kind of overpowered with NOED. I think his power kind of needs a rework.

Yes, Freddy needs a rework bigger than what the Doctor got. He's just fundamentally poorly designed and not fun to play against. That's probably why they never buffed him and left him broken - why buff a killer that nobody likes to play against? But it's been around 7 months since they nerfed him and they've been quiet about him so I'm not expecting anything beyond a half-hearted, "Well, Freddy's pointless auto-aim will no longer prioritize awake survivors over the sleeping survivor right next to them."

I do think that, if they're going to leave it so easy to wake up, then Freddy should at least have some chase tools in the dream world. Currently Freddy's power is just anti-stealth with some endgame danger thrown in assuming he has the right perks and setup. His power does nothing in a chase nor does it seriously delay generator progress because of how easy it is to wake up.
