Why don't the other killers grab the locker hatchets?

Because Entity, like for anything else.

Yeah, but like, Legion wants a gun, and hatchets are, like, literally vintage guns.
Edit: honestly, that's how Head On animation should be. The survivor grabs a hatchet and goes yolo.

I like that kind of view 😁Quite Amusing

I truly would love to see a survivor grab a hatchet to defend themselves as they rush out. And drop it.
But then I'm the player going we are 4 they are 1, let's rush them and take the weapon. Sure a couple of us may get dying status, but come on! Lol

I'm pretty sure most of them just simply don't know how to use hatchets.
Effectively using throwing Hatchet is not as simple as just yeeting them around. If I had no idea how to use a hatchet and my aim with it wasn't perfect I probably wouldn't waste my time with it when I have other abilities The Entity gave me

Survivors meant to be in a paralized nightmare-ish state in trials. That’s why they can’t talk either. Using hatchets against the killer makes too much sense even for a horror movie anyway.

Yeah, but none of the survivors thought to reset pallets until Yui came along. Maybe the killers just aren't very good at thinking outside the box. Or, for a deeper explanation, maybe they're all so brainwashed that it doesn't even occur to them to do anything they haven't been explicitly allowed to by the Entity.

maybe the entity stops them... like when u pick it up your hand gets burnt or something

thats the most possible explanation i can find

The other killers probably do not know how to use them, and consider them less effective then their normal powers/weapons... so basically what @ImmersedNurse said.
It might also be due to Entity interference. Killers are directly controlled, whereas survivors are observed. It is why Survivors are in 3rd person, and killers in 1st. Not only this, it is why Survivors do not come up with new ideas, because they are under too much stress to think of anything new.

Basically this ^
I think first and foremost there's probably some Entity Magic at work that pins those hatchets in place so that they're stuck there to anybody else who tries to pull them out aside from Huntress. Sort of like Excalibur or Thor's Mjolnir, "if ye ain't worthy ye ain't gon' touchy".
That being said, on a personal note, a friend of mine took me to a place to throw hatchets for fun, and I went there maybe three times improving each time. It's an extremely fun activity that I would definitely recommend and do again and super satisfying when you hear it sink into the wood, but I will say it DEFINITELY takes a certain amount of skill to actually throw a hatchet. In such a way that you not only hit your mark but also with the hatchet head facing your target so it actually sinks in and not the top or the handle so that it bounces off.

Several of the killers have a special connection with their own weapon.
Freddy's glove was designed to murder his young victims. Clown's knife is used to sever the fingers of his tortured prey. Pig's blade was devised by her teacher, John Kramer. There is usually some significance invovled.
As some have already mentioned, some of the killers wouldn't know how to throw a hatchet with skillful precision. Demogorgon would probably just eat them.

They are scared to touch those hatchets. There is the chance that you take one and suddenly you here that distant lullaby and it starts getting louder and louder. Scary #########.

How does the huntress have 5 hatchets after only grabbing one?
3 -
because the other killers don't carry hatches only the huntress does if they do pick up hatches then they don't have any other powers and only have the power of the huntres

Most likely a programming oversight. The developers were too lazy to create 2 seperate lockermodels for Huntress and for everyone else.

That's how headon works kek.
As for the other killers, they already have their weapons. I'll just assuming spinning an axe takes a decent amount of practice and experience to use let alone to hit any moving targets.
