I spawned in the hallway (top area) in front of a room containing the Killer's Ruin.... RIGHT THERE!!! I actually walked in, saw it, feared Haunted Grounds, went into the isolation room and touched the generator, generator fizzled, went back and cleansed it within the first 30 seconds of the game.
And one time, when I played Nurse, my Ruin spawned on the SIDE of the Killer's shack on Disturbed Ward. THE SIDE FACING THE ENTIRE MAP! There might as well have been a neon arrow affixed to the side of the shack, pointing straight down at it and saying "Cleanse Me" in bright, blinking letters. I had to work hard to protect that little guy.
They should take what they did with the Saloon totem spawns (they're very nicely hidden) and try to do something with the rest of the maps!

Bhvr won't replace totem spawns because it or be super easy or super difficult to find. What if you are playing against a killer with devour hope and it is literally in a crate?

Flip side: No point in ever using totems if they're just going to spawn literally right next to a survivor/their only objective.

Isn't that the entire risk/reward of using totems?
Some of the placements are easy to find. Some are less easy to find. Some are so hidden that it's almost certainly the illegitimate love child of Waldo and Carmen Sandiego. You're placing your hopes and dreams in the RNG.

I forget the video, it might have been one of Otz. He was on Lerys using Devour Hope. The totem spawn was amazing. It was inside a square box you didn't know was hollow. You had to walk into a dead end part of the map to even see it. We need more totem spawns like that.

Running hex totems has always been a gamble. The totem spots have been getting better over time. Especially with the newer maps.
However I do believe that in the end survivors that play this game for a long time will just remember the "good spots" and check there first.
Yes some spots are very unlucky based on tile rotation, but that is the risk part of using hex totems.
