Run whispers, if you see it lit up you know youll hit at least 1 person with static blast, if you dont theyre in a locker.

I caught a feng min going into a locker right in front of me. In my mind I’m like you do realize I can take advantage and kill you right? 😂.

I usually run distressing, overcharge, thanatophobia and any other perk

I’ll give it a try I’m trying to convince myself not to give up even tho some survivors move like the wind. Though I’ve killed a few I still have hope👍.

Don’t forget about using your Shock Blast as well for added pressure. If you know survivors are working in a gen around where you are chasing you can use your shock blast to apply extra pressure, possibly even causing a survivor to snap out of it before they can continue to work on the gen.

Doc is a really versatile killer in terms of builds. You can go for different blast shape, extra effects, longer range blast, low/high terror radius builds, slowdown builds, all that stuff. Just experiment to feel out what stuff you like, because there's a lot of good stuff that can work on Doc.
Also, another thing that you might already know but is crucial on Doc, is that you shouldn't be shocking all the time. There will be good pallets to play, and there will be pallets where it's better to just try to run it through brute force style so you don't waste time or mindgame yourself instead.
It's cool you're picking him up though, I'm sure you'll have a blast (no pun intended).

Are you a fan of unnerving presence? Which add ons do you find most effective? I feel like i may need to use +blast more.

Right now I'm running with
Overcharge
Pop
Whispers
Thrilling Tremors
As for addons I do like the Calm series and Discipline series

I feel like some extra range is helpful in pretty much every game, but you don't exactly need the green one because you shouldn't be using it that far if you're using your blast mostly for loops. My personal favorite effect is the fake pallets because even if they disappear when you get near, sometimes that alone is enough to make a survivor run to a bad spot during a chase. That doesn't mean the other ones are necessarily bad, because they'll still screw with survivors and just generally make them uneasy.
I'm personally a fan of Unnerving Presence, and it's good to run if you don't have a lot of perks as well, but it's slightly build dependent (as I said earlier, you can get some lower terror radius effects and some higher ones, so it depends). The effect is good, but if you want to make the most out of it, probably pair it with Distressing and the one addon type that increases your terror radius while your blast is available.
Iridescent Queen and King are a little overkill, but still they're good to use for obvious reasons.

One thing to be aware of is using Shock Therapy makes you lose Bloodlust if you have it. So if you're in a chase long enough for that to matter, you'll need to make a choice whether to keep the lust or take the shock.

you can watch archdruiddrey on twitch he's a pretty good doc main, see if you can pick up a few things.

Distressing. As soon as you can, grab Distressing. No other Killer benefits from an enlarged Terror Radius like Doctor does.
Like what DudeDelicious says, get people into Madness III quickly. This will keep them off gens so you can apply pressure.
Also like he says, practice timing your shocks. This is the hardest part of Doctor's kit. One second too early, the Survivor can still vault or drop the pallet. One second too late, they'll already have vaulted or dropped the pallet. You should also learn the distance it can go and how wide the area of effect is. The Maple Knight add-on can help out with this early on.
For starting out, Whispers is also an excellent perk for knowing when to use Static Blast. Combine it with Distressing and as soon as it lights up, you know someone is in your Terror radius. Combine this further with his Calm add-ons and you'll be getting Survivors very quickly. If you can't get it, Discordance or Barbecue & Chili (if you have them) do the job just as well.
I know I'm terrible at explaining things, but I hope this makes sense
