Mori's are great therapy
I went into a match, all 4 popped at once, and the names had a theme, and all of them had unique outfits. I knew something was off, and I had my finger on the cancel button to dodge.
You know... I said to myself, "Tiersis, all the people in the forum just tell you that you can get good if you just learn to play against these teams. I mean, I'm a rank 11 killer! Thats not bad for only a week or so back in the game!"
Well, I shoulda lubed up before stepping that that match.
All 4 escaped, it was like playing against an AI that moved all 4 characters in unison in the optimal path to break every one of my traps, find all the totems. Heck, 2 gens popped in unison before I even got into my first chase. Of course there was the SWF mating dance of teabagging and flashlight clicking that accompanied it, and the ritualistic standing in the exit gates until the last second to prolong my misery.
Well, I kitted up again. Ebony Mori, addons that hid my traps and made them insta down, my best perk loadout, the whole 9.
Lobby pops, and this time, I just decided I was gonna do every single thing that I know survivors hate. I camped, they rushed. They unhooked, I tunneled. Got through Borrowed time, and a DS to the face, maintained my tunnel, Mori!
2 of the folks I had slugged of course had unbreakable and got back up. Like they do. Managed to hunt two more down and Mori them, while another was on the Hook. I think, I GET A 4K, yay!
But no, just to take a big giant dump on my face one last time, he Kobes AND GETS HATCH.
This is why we need Moris folks, because if we didn't have some way to take out the rage on these SWF A-holes I don't think I'd have the mental stability to prevent myself from actually becoming a serial killer.

You need actual therapy

Amen 😂

So you got mad at one group of survivors, and decided to take it out on a totally different group of survivors? Or am I misreading it here.

Quote: "(...) I don't think I'd have the mental stability to prevent myself from actually becoming a serial killer."
I think you need this:
12 -
This was also my first thought. When I get trashed as killer I do not take it out on the next group of survivors, who in no way caused my defeat. I either jump off if I'm still tilted, or swap over to Survivor mode for a spell.
Playing both sides for years prevents me from doing what i would consider undeserved venting.
3 -
I totally did, yes. Now, as luck would have it, they were also a 4 man SWF, I checked after in end game chat. And one did get his hatch escape.
I always get told every time I complain about the hatch that I'm not guaranteed a 4k, I accept that. But also I've come to realize there is no issue If I use the strongest addons and tactics to win. They aren't guaranteed an escape.
It is a rather calming philosophy.
Also, I now want a snickers.

So had this been a completely innocent group of solos they'd have all died. You'd feel better but you would then have spread negativity to four other people, who would then spread it to another few killer players, and the cycle would continue.
Be the change you want to see. End the cycle with you, don't become a part of it. My philosophy anyway, and this game would be a whole lot less toxic if others stopped taking out their frustrations on people completely unrelated to their previous match.
9 -
If you need a break, then take one. Don't bring out your frustration on the next group of survivors. Please.
6 -
All the evidence I see points to the contrary. Look at our current hatch situation. Survivors were toxic and held the game hostage for hours. Many folks we see here admit to doing so. They continued to do it through months of complaining on the forums.
BHVR rewarded them with a free hatch escape even when no gens were done.
Until I see some kind of way to tell when I'm matched up with a premade group, or get the option to not play against them, I don't have much choice except to treat every group I run into as if they are very likely a premade.
I get that sucks for solo players, but until change happens it is what it is.

Hey man congrats on the venting mori game.
Unlike some of the trigger police here no one can dictate how you play. If they don't like it then they can play killer how they want to.
Gonna be sure to play each of my matches tonight with mori's as a toast to you.
Cheers !

Your mistake was not taking a mori along when you suspected that they were a SWF. You had obvious signs that they were friends with the similar names along with them all loading in at the same time.
Don’t ruin the game for players that have nothing to do with the toxicity of SWF turd teams. Many people just want to play for fun, not sweat their ass off.
3 -
Your obviously not suited for playing games.
5 -
These friends playing together? HOW DARE THEY??
2 -
To be fair, I am happy that friends get to play together. I really am.
But having a premade changes the difficulty of the game. A lot. Nothing here accounts for that, and you have no way to know if you're facing one or not. You can guess, and Lobby dodge, but noone likes that happening.
I'd love to see balance put into the game to account for the presence of SWF groups, and as I've said many times, I'd also love an option to opt out of facing them, even if it meant longer queue times.
Hell, even a multiplier on my rewards that I get from facing them would make it more tolerable.
I'm all for people having fun with friends, but I don't enjoy playing against SWF in the same way that I wouldn't enjoy if my opponent in a game of local field football tagged out for the New England Patriots.
1 -
Wow. So many people so quick to say "take a break" or whatever to an obviously hyperbolic post.
Gotta love it.
1 -
Hugs. You get me. :D
3 -
Genrushing in a swf is great therapy!
Those innocent killers just trying to play the game deserve to have there experience ruined because a diffrent killer tunnled me last game!!! /s
Why ruin others experience when they didn't do anything to you?
I 100% get bringing a mori and tunnling etc when its the same survivors who bullied not when its diffrent survivors
This logic is really flawed imo

What I find interesting about this is the mentality that because you had one sweaty SWF match, that you felt the best solution was to go ham on the next team of people who had no knowledge or contribution to your previous angst whatsoever. And this is a problem. Killers get a SWAT team and lose, then load up every iri add-on and abusive play style tactic they can on the next match, except the next match is probably just a random group of solos trying to have a fun match after a long day of work (I am usually in this match 😑).
It's also interesting the admission that there is retribution in being Killer in a match. Either you can pursue and the offender of your delicate sensibilities and kill them OR you use this tactic and strap on everything in your arsenal to go balls deep on the next team and it makes you feel better. However, what retribution do survivors have against the guy that goes balls deep on them because of SOME OTHER team they don't even know? Nothing. They have nothing in a match they can do. Instead, they unload in post-game lobby and then Killers come here and cry about how toxic survivors are in chat - when really, they are just venting everything Killers had the opportunity to vent by literally murdering them.
So yes, it's great you have a means to relieve your in game stress, because no one wants you to go postal, but keep in mind your opposing team doesn't have that luxury. So next time you wonder why people are explosive in post-game or why survivors can't "accept the loss"...know that stress and frustration goes both ways in this game, and survivors don't have a mori outlet. ;)
1 -
Actually, I do have a "Mori Outlet" for Survivor.
I bring Decisive Strike, Quick & Quiet, Head-On and Iron Will.
Let the Killer grab me from the Locker, stun then, go back in the Locker, then stun them with Head-On. :D
That always feels satisfying no matter how much times I do it.
Though it guarantees I get facecamped next time I get hooked
1 -
I can usually feel when I'm going against a swf, and they will win more times than I will. However the devs have stated their reasons for not informing a killer of even a partial swf. More than half of survivors are 2 or more in a group, and they are loath to make any change that could increase lobby times or dodging, as a swf indicator surely would. Not to mention we'd have pregame salt spread as well.
So if we accept no indicator is coming soon, then the "solution" left is the oft-mentioned buff solo surv then rebalance killers around that. Exactly how to achieve this is another whole subject entirely.
I still fail to see how taking it out on an unrelated group of survs fixes anything, and can only spread negativity further.
1 -
If I have had a few terrible games as killer or survivor I just use an ebony because I can have a game where I can have tons of fun and it is therapeutic and then I play normally and I have fun after
0 -
I dont know that I would call this a mori outlet. Its a play I would probably liken to a camp/tunnel, since you probably are going to get face camped (not win) but it feels oh so satisfying 😂
0 -
Using an ebony mori on a completely different group of survivors is pretty ######### up and only ensures that the cycle of...whatever you'd call this continues. It's your fault for nor bringing one for the first group, don't spread misery to other people trying to play the game normally.
Honestly? I feel embarrassed as a killer main reading these kinds of posts. Even if you're exaggerating, it doesn't make us look good, man.
4 -
No, you have it right fam. But he is right even though i don't use them. They are great therapy

This philosophy should be spread more. There are very few of us who are enlightened like this.
0 -
And this is why more and more people are DCing in the loading screen after seeing the secret offering. Nobody wants to play against tilted 12-year-olds.
4 -
Oh man, that would be terrible. You make a good point.
Next time I'll tell them in endgame chat that I'm 37. (38 soon!)
:D

so umm, is this how scrubs come out of the scrubby closet these days? bo hoo git gud
3 -
Physically, maybe. Mentally? Far from it
3 -
Ouch, the edge though
3 -
why not we can't rematch them with a mori they gone i'm with op.why you think you see alot more mori? survivors are getting worse or swf are getting worse.
edit really i take it out on the next 5 to 6 groups
0 -
i also play both side will switch to survivor don't help you'll most likely face a killer who just got done with a match with group toxic sweat with friends.
but playing both side i can say i know what not to do as survivor to killer but that a duh.

I was playing killer at rank 1 non stop today. Didn’t lose a single match. I don’t know where this SWF teams are but certanly not at red ranks. It’s littearly boring to play killer now but solo survivor at red ranks is ashitty draw or derank which is way more annoying to play.
I see littearly no teams worth wasting a mori on. May be you just lack game sense to know where you should be at certain times that’s why you get whooped.
1 -
the red rank swf are facing rank 15 rank 17 killers
i mean i'm rank 1 survivor i face rank 10 15 17 killer as rank 9 killer i face rainbow group that just ps4 on steam it worse i not as high rank 16 survivor guess who i face rank 1 3 5 killer as for killer i'm rank 19 face rank 5 1 and 2 ranks.
who came up with this matchmaking?
0 -
I don’t know but due to it the game feels like it did a 180* and become more killer favored than ever which hurts solo alot.
2 -
i know playing solo is hard,i play solo even when i play swf it with no voice chat it hard but with sweat with friends team makes playing killer to hard.
