It’ll be fake as it’s photos. If it was true you’d get video as it’s harder to fake (still able to fake video though, just takes more effort)

No part of it passes behind the menu HUD, it's model is a bit too clear and nice compared to the rest of the picture, and the "the alien" text is of a different font and color than the rest of the menu text.
A good fake, but a fake.

No, I just think this picture is obviously fake. Degrading audio and image quality is what fakers do to hide defects in their sloppy work. It's harder to spot defects in an image, audio recording, or video, if the entire thing looks and/or sounds like hammered #########.
Ask yourself: why does the supposed photo looks so terrible in the age of smartphone cameras with auto-focus? Some smartphone cameras can take pictures of the moon that are so clear, you can see individual craters. This looks like someone smeared grease on the camera and had a seizure while taking the photo.

I am on Team Fake as well..
mainly because blurr and not fitting height/nothing of the character behind any UI elements.. and don’t chapters come with unique backgrounds nowadays? plus I really don’t want to get my hopes up. Alien would be amazing.

why is there black goo coming out of the skulls eyes if it’s not alien? What other reference would it be? If it’s not a reference or clue to who the killer is well then, Why is it even there?

Gotta say that I haven't seen the Alien movies. Just the first AvP movie. Still though, it looks just like the DbD logo anyway as those skulls are dripping the colour black.

The model is probably just directly out of Alien: Isolation.
the background doesn’t look that convincing, if you look closely there are some „white dots“ right from the Alien model for example that are the exact same in both pictures: seems like they used the same background picture 2 times.

I don't really think this is real, but remember how pig's power got leaked? It was a very very low quality screenshot that was hard to read, but it turned out to be true.

Alien would be the most boring addition to the game in my opinion. We already have one monster (demogorgon), a second one, alien, would be too similar. I'd rather have them come up with an original monster killer than getting alien from the movies.

I want Pennywise, Candyman or Pinhead. They are really cool and unique, alien is just too similar to demo and nothing special. Also cosmetics would be really limited for alien.

The pig leak had a little more substance to it as you could see some of her unique perks behind the power description. Plus that leak had the killer and survivor models leaked which where higher quality than this. If this leak is true than where is the survivor model?
I'm personally in team fake, when you see a screenshot as blurry as this you have to be a little skeptical. Although if it's true than I wouldn't mind an Alien chapter.

In situations like these devs tend to stay quiet. If they debunk any leak that came then once a true leak comes if they don't say anything it's basically a confirmation. That's why they never debunk leaks as if a true one comes and they still say nothing there's not a lot people can speculate about.

That's clearly a small version of a regular screenshot. Could've been fake, but it's different from this situation. OP's picture is supposedly a photo of a screen (not a screenshot) that's somehow extremely blurry and jittery despite the fact that smartphone cameras have things like autofocus. OP also hasn't said where they supposedly got this from, as far as I know.

It's very easy to create a clean background, the white specs are from embers that appear when you switch a killer, my bet is it is fake.
