Adept Killer
Why does adept killer in red ranks (only relevant since stricter emblems in red ranks) require an arm, your mother's leg and your third child
like if a gen pops in 1 minute or 2 you lose adept. if you play billy, myers, plague, leatherface, etc any killer that one shots... don't use your power or you'll lose chaser emblem and won't get adept
You have to juggle all the gens and all the survivors trying to spread pressure, then the hit that took you 30 seconds to get then you go pressure their team mates, they heal with their med kit in less than 10 seconds
then there's survivor, you can literally afk in a locker and get hatch at 5 gens and get adept
Why is killer adept 7 billion times more sweaty and requiring than surv adept? why did they change just getting a 4k
let alone that most killer's teachable perks alone suck so you're pretty much playing with no perks like idk dude, it's crayZ comparatively

These achievements definitely have unusually outsized requirements (especially when you compare them to the much MUCH more reasonable Adept survivor achievements). As with so many things in this game, I do not understand how this has continued to exist unaddressed, for multiple years, when this game is maintained by a large developer with more than 600 employees.

It wasn't changed directly, it was a side-effect of the introduction of the emblem system, which changed how the game (and therefore the achievement) defines a "Merciless Victory". They can't change the achievement because Microsoft and Sony won't let them as long as it's still technically possible. Valve will, but they prefer to keep it consistent across platforms.
The only thing to be done is to change the way the game defines a "Merciless Victory" to make it independent of the emblem system, which the devs have expressed some interest in doing in the past, but as always it's a matter of priorities, and generally balancing issues and bug fixes will take precedence over achievement changes.

I gave up on achievements in this game a long time ago. It's better that way, at least for my mental health.

Just depip. Play as perkless clown on the 10th and 11th. Go back to green. On the 13th the game will drop you into yellow. Then do all the adept acheivements back to back.

I have every achievement in the game, im just recording for an adept series

no, depipping is not a solution

Even though I've got all the killer adapts, most of which without any real issue, I agree it should just be 4k with their 3 unique perks.

LMAO. Take it easy, bro.

The Adept trophies didn't change when they adjusted from the Victory system to the Killer system, they changed when Demise of the Faithful was released.
It probably was unintentional, but given that it remained just a 4k requirement after the Victory system was removed: it's safe to say that it isn't side effect of Merciless Victories needing a new definition - they didn't exist anymore and their old definition was simply getting a 4k anyway - not getting a double pip, as Adept achievements still triggered based purely on 4ks for quite some time.
Heck, you could depip and get Adept Killer. I did so getting Pig's Adept (all 3 other Survivors DC'ed after I Moried someone).

I dunno, I've seen some people get really eggy when they don't get that 2 pip. Keyboard slamming, mouse banging...it can be quite explosive 😂

This is the thing about Adepts...when a new killer is released and I decide to go for their adept (as I'm in the 100% platinum club 😎), I think "Oh bloody hell, this is going to be a right old slog.", but I usually get them after a couple of attempts. Got DeathSlinger on release day, first attempt much to my surprise.
Going for it when survivors are unaccustomed to the new killer and doing it on rank reset help.

I know they made some adjustments to the emblems and to the pipping requirements for different ranks in the Demise of the Faithful patch, so it's not unlikely that that was one of them. I don't remember well enough what the pipping requirements were between the emblem system's introduction and the release of that patch to know for sure, though.

It was the adjustment that changed Survivor requirements for Emblems (dull totems gave Lightbringer and being chased gave Lightbringer points if others were made progress on gens) as well as the changes that made it much harder to pip the higher you were Ranked IIRC - none of which should have effected Adept Achievements, but evidently something did.
I'm agreeing with you that it probably was due to some spaghetti code change, and not an intentional change - just clarifying that it wasn't tied to the Victory-Emblem transition.
Edit: which would likely make fixing this issue even more difficult, since they may not know what caused it.

Yeah, it certainly wasn't in the patch notes which might suggest an unintentional change, but the impression I got last time I saw a dev address the topic was that the issue with reversing the change was more one of priorities than difficulty. I suppose they're the only ones who would know for sure, though.

😨That is crazy. Never be teased by Games.

I feel ya. I did all my survivor adepts in 2 days. Needed like 6 days and a lot of sweat for the killer achievements. The most painful one was Deathslinger.. holy ######### I hate this killer.
