Why did "Dead Hard" remained untouched after the nurse rework/nerf?
I asked myself that question for some time now, everytime a survivor presses a button to negate a perfect blink exactly. Nurse got nerfed in all of her aspects, but "Dead Hard", a perk that got designed to counter old nurse, remained untouched.
Even if we ignore all the problems "Dead Hard" got, i.e. uncounterability if used for distance and unreliability due to dedicated servers, is it really okay to just negate a perfect ability use of a killer by pressing a button? Is it just fine to have a free second chance against a killer, available at all times in a chase?

Dead hard wasn't designed specifically for Nurse. It can negate a hit from all killers not just her.
Deah Hard is just another exhaustion perk which worked versus the Nurse if they hit instantly but was negated itself if they didn't.
Dead hard should only ever be able to be used once to miss a hit and then its for distance as its so easily baited once you know they have it. Its also only usable once in a chase so the one miss from a Nurse shouldn't stop someone going down versus a decent player.

Uh I'm not even sure what you're trying to say. The first part of your post seems to be saying that Dead Hard didn't change when Nurse was reworked even though it countered old Nurse. The second part sounds like you hate the fact that it counters new Nurse. Please elaborate?

We get it, you got dead harded a couple times in one match and now you are upset.
Dead Hard was never designed as a specific counter to Nurse. With dedicated servers, Sprint Burst is arguably better to deny line of sight and get behind a large object asap.
Using the 2nd blink, at most distances, nurse can negate dead hard and bait it out if you don't blindly spam m1 the second you blink close to a survivor.
Nurse is easily the killer that should complain about dead hard the least, you literally ignore pallets, windows, and walls if you know how survivors move. The ONLY real problem with dead hard is that you can use it for distance when you make a mistake/get greedy.

As a Nurse-main, I can assure you that she does not ignore pallets at all. I regularily get stunned midblink by survivor who know their ping. Its easy as hell with dedicated servers.

It's a second chance against nurse and she's incredibly hard to play anyway. On top of that it got no requirements and is easy to use.
The odds man. DH got released after a huge outrage on several social media platforms, because old nurse was broken.
If the survivor doesn't dodge at all, you can reach him with one blink, most times you need two, no matter how good you are as nurse. Do you mainly play her?

A truly skilled nurse cares not for Dead Hard or the nerfs.

Completely false. A skilled survivor is not using Dead Hard until you swing. An average survivor panic Dead Hards after the first blink.

OP has to go for every strawman possible to justify the creation of this Thread.

?
This. It's called reaction DH.

The most confusing thread i ever seen on dbd forums.

I mean, saying that DH was designed to counter old Nurse is quite a bold statement. Let alone that the Interaction between Nurse and DH did not change at all with the Rework, Nurse is still able to blink on top of Survivors.
And well, reaction DH... Does not work.

This is simply another post wanting a survivor perk ability nerfed into the ground. These are getting old.

Worked quite good for me. It will be possible for everybody again if BHVR makes DH server sided.
Well, it's more of a question than a complain, but okay.

Am i the only one who thinks dead hard is overrated

Because Dead Hard isn't used 80% of games.
(when we all know it's the most popular exhaustion perk)
