Crossplay --> Merge Accounts?

Hi there,

I have two Accounts one on PS4 and on on the PC. Recently I started playing on PC, because it makes more fun.

But my progress on PS4 is way more ahead. So I was wondering if I can merge these accounts later on?

Otherwise it would make no sense to keep playing on PC, since I can play with my PS4 account on PC in the midterm?

Thank you.

P.S. I already bought the game two times --> GG.

PLEASE GOD AND BABY JESUS, LET THIS HAPPEN.

Seriously, the game needs to move to an account-based structure a la Fortnite, where we can log into a singular DBD account and play and have access to our stuff on any platform we've bought the game on.

If this happened, I would buy DBD on every system I own. I'd be playing it on Switch at bedtime, I can imagine my wife yelling at me to go to sleep already! 😄

I think they're working on that.

    They're allowing Cross Play first.

Same here. Migrated to PC recently and while I do own the game and will be playing the PTB I'll be continuing on Xbox for the forseeable future.

I'm not throwing away 3 years of progress and DLC/Cosmetic purchases.

But you could go on playing on PC, if there is an option to merge the two accounts ;)....

Merge Accounts is usually a One All, One Way System, you usually have to pick which account you want to pull ALL your characters from, trhis said on the stream they are trying to work with partners to enable a cross progression system, so it may not come at all if there isn't an agreement made (likely due to BHVR wanting to keep clothing tied to the account and trying to get the licencees to agree to allow you to not have to double purchase cosmetics,)

They said they are trying to make it happen, but no promises.

I bet we get crossplay, but not carry-over accounts.

I hope so as I have my Billy Summer BBQ weapon on the PS4 version and I've been desperate to get it back.

It's possible, know people who play Fortnite and it works perfectly. I just get a feeling it won't happen in DBD. Hope I'm wrong.

hmm this is tricky. I assume for character Progression you would need to choose your account, since merging wouldn’t make sense at all.

for cosmetic purchases on the other hand, merging would be the only somewhat rightful choice since you paid for those. Question is what happens if you purchased the same cosmetic twice?

then there are DLCs: make them still platform dependent? Same can be done for cosmetics I guess. But it wouldn’t feel like real crossprogression..
