And Now, A Lil' Theory On The Addition Of Executioner's Cages...
I'll keep this one simple and short...
My theory's that the replacement of button mashing by Skill Checks is a test.
A test to see if it's fit for being hooked as well.
Just a theory of course.

Skill checks would be a major improvement; for me because the feeling of dying after missing a skillcheck is more intense than repeatedly pressing a button and I think the skillchecks would make you feel more involved with the game, because you actually have to pay attention to what's going on. I mean you can just mash a button while you're having a drink or have your mind somwhere else.
EDIT: Also, it would be interesting if skill checks got a bit smaller as the sacrifice is progressing.

We can only (devour) hope man.
I don't think I've seen one person complain about the new 2nd stage in cages.

I like it, also gives me more time for the 4k since suicides are not instant and slugging for the 4k is boring, if I seriously didnt find the survivor (or the hatch if less than 3 gens), then they fully deserved the escape. Also as a Survivor I really appreciate that my keyboard doesnt get destroyed every game.

I think so too.
Same with the mini mories.
They've done it before by introducing new mechanics and then using them to fix old mechanics.
Steve's perk and syringes as an example.

It occurs to me that doing this could be a stealth nerf to SWF, since the person in the cage has to pay more attention to their screen, rather than calling stuff out to the rest of their team from their all-seeing position on the hook. especially when they have the BS that is Object of Obsession.

Good point.
I mean, i bet they wouldn't allow Unnerving Presence to affect them, and that'd be fine by me.
But still, the mere thought of missing one, which i rarely do, could be pretty scary.
In that case, if they ever did implement this, i hope the Skill Checks aren't TOO big: Don't want it to be non-scary.

Not only this, but they also actively get smaller. Which is something we haven't seen before, and could help with gen speed in the future.
Example: The more skill checks you succeed, the smaller the bar gets until you blow it up.
