New rules for posting in the General Discussions forum - anti tantrum measures
So over the past 48 hours , I have seen a substantial spike in the number of people rage posting on the forums ( mainly coming from people who were playing as survivor against the new killer in new PTB). In the past 2 years that I have been playing DBD, I dont think that I have seen the devs implement any new rule changes into how people can behave on the forums.
So to kill 2 birds with one stone, I am recommending that the devs implement a new anti tantrum measure where by, if someone is attempting to post a new thread in the General Discussion forum, they will need to wait 1 hr before the post can be sent and they would have to sign back into their account and approve the post for sending.
This would give them 1 hour to cool off and comeback with a calm head before posting some hateful remarks about some new game balance changes and dedicated forum-posters/users would have no problem with this because they know that they would be back in an hours time anyway (or at the least some time soon). This rule would not apply to comments on the forums and only work on the general discussions forum page
This change would hopefully clear up a lot of the spam that has been cropping up on the forum and should make more constructive discourse occur here

Or they post their whining about [Insert Mori, Keys, Camping, Butt Dancing, Clicky Clicks, or various other annoyances the game has], kill the hour by playing DBD, getting [Moried, Keyed, Butt Danced On, Clicky Clacked, or various other annoying thing] again, and then posting their whiny complaint 😅

Sounds like a big nerf to me - REEE!
No, but seriously:
What if multiple people created a thread about the exact same thing, though? If everyone has to wait for an hour you have no chance to check whether someone else has already posted a thread about the thing you want to discuss. As a result the first page would get spammed with the same topic all the time due to the 1 hour time window.
Yes, it already happens a lot but with that change it would possibly double the number of identical discussions/complaints etc.
Right now (with no delay when posting a discussion) you can at least see whether someone has already posted something similar on the first page(s).

They need to do like most forums do: No threads on the same topic, unless it's considerably different from the original. Also better rules against flaming topics in general would help. There's a big difference between constructive discussion and "I'm just mad."

True. It would help if they started putting identical threads together based on which thread was created first.

I dont like the idea of weakening the flow of real time conversation. People will make well thought out posts and may not be around in an hour to post it...or forget you have to come back to approve and come back expecting some insight only to find it was never posted.
Conversations people don't want to engage in die out really quickly here. Conversations people want to have rise to the top. The raw nature of some posts makes them a compelling or thought provoking conversation. That's the beauty of forums and probably helps devs determine what hot button issues really strike a cord with the community.

I think those that moderate the forums need to take a harder stance on people that bait, rant, vent, insult, and are generally toxic without contributing anything constructive to the conversation.
