Silent Hills Perk Build Ideas
It's another chapter and thus time for another set of new perk builds to try out! Without further to do here we go:
Killer Builds
Gimmick/Meme Builds
On Kick:
Pop Goes the Weasel + Trail Of Torment + Overcharge + Survailence
Kick those gens to super regress it and stealth off
Survivors are Loud:
Iron Maiden + Deathbound + Infectious Fright + Free Slot
Killers are scary. Now they can tell you all about it! Whether they like it or not.
Serious Builds
Legion No-WIn:
Deathbound + Thanataphobia + Bamboozle + Discordance
If they heal deathbound makes them an easy target or a grouped target, if they don't heal then thanataphobia will slow them down while bamboozle helps you down them anyways. Discordance is a must on legion in general.
Spooky Hag:
Trail Of Torment + Devour Hope + Pop Goes the Weasel + BBQ + Mint Rag (addon)
Hook someone, kick their gen and teleport to whoever you see. Undetectable will be up while they are told you are on the opposite side of the map, leaving you free to sneak up and hit them.
Anti-Anti-Anti-Heal Ghostface/Wraith Build:
Thrilling Tremors + Nurses Calling + Forced Penance + Thanataphobia
Smack someone, leave them to heal and then smack the healer to break them and go after the original Survivor. When you down and pick them up the healer will either be on a gen, which will be shown by TT or they will be completely useless since they can't heal either.
Executioner Build:
Nurses Calling + I'm all Ears + Infectious Fright + Monitor
Monitor has minor synergy with Nurses and major synergy with Infectious. Nurses and I'm all ears lets you get hits with your power that you usually wouldn't. Infectious lets you take full advantage of his cage power to snowball.
Can't See Can't Hear
Trail of Torment + 3rd Seal + Nurses Calling + Pop Goes the Weasel
3rd seal gives Survivors the blindness status effect. Since this removes the generator aura from trail of torment, the perk is finally actually useful for once!
Can't See Can't Hear (Plague edition)
Trail of Torment + 3rd Seal + Thanataphobia + Pop Goes the Weasel
Same as the last build except swap out Nurses Calling for Thanataphobia. Plague is a great Killer to use with undetectable perks in general, so it works.
Survivor BUilds
Gimmick/Meme Builds
Crawl Build:
Tenacity + Unbreakable + Soul Guard + Flip Flop
Flip Flop helps if they pick you up, Tenacity and Unbreakable let you recover fast and Soul Guard gives you endurance once you successfully get up. If they have a hex this can be done several times even.
Hyper Tank:
MoM + Soul Guard + Breakout + Blood Pact
Use breakout to save someone, blood pact alerts the obsession where you are in order to heal you. Blood pact and Soul Guard let them get in a lot of cheeky heals since you can tank a hit afterwards.
If the Obsession is injured and in a chase you will know where to go to get a MoM stack.
Serious Builds
Gen Jokey
Repressed Alliance + Poised + Dark Sense + Sprint Burst
Get stuck being the one doing the gens all the time? This should help you be better at it. Dark Sense and Poised both help you avoid the Killer when switching gens after a completion. Sprint burst helps you reach objectives faster and protects you from ambushes. Sprint Burst combined with Poised lets you get some cheaky gen completions in front of the Killer while still getting away.
And if the Killer comes when the gen isn't about to be done? Repressed Aliance and now he can't pop it, and ruin doesn't regress it and surge won't blow it up ect ect ect.
Healer Build:
Blood Pact + Autodidact + Spine Chill + Second Wind/Solidarity
I know I know, I just put autodidact on a build labeled "serious" but hear me out. Blood Pact is the only perk (better together aside) that will show an injured Survivor where YOU are rather than the other way around (I know aftercare exists, but as the name implies it only starts showing your aura to them after you've already healed them). This makes it much easier to use it to find injured people to heal, since they will be coming to you too.
Now this may only be for the Obsession, but there are 3 perks that make that less situational than it seems: DS, For the People, Nemesis.
All 3 of those perks make someone the Obsession while they are likely to be injured. DS and For the People both set the User to injured, while Nemesis makes them the Obsession while in a chase and thus likely to BECOME injured. Furtive Chase is the only obsession changing perk that wouldn't have that property, however that perk is rare so this shouldn't be an issue.
So since blood pact makes it much easier for injured people to find you and vice versa. Plus it has the speed boost which is super good.
So with that in mind, you use this perk and go for a lot of heals, so autodidact has lots of chances to proc, spine chill both helps with that and keeps you safe while healing. And then Second Wind/Solidarity because it's a no brainer if you are going to be healing a lot of people.
Blood Pact Support build (for SWF duo):
For the People + Resiliance + Soul Guard + BT
Blood Pact + Soul Guard + Mettle of Man + Prove Thyself + Septic
Here's the plan:
The FTP user is the Healer while the MoM user is the tank. But really both players are tanks.
Step 1:
Healer uses FTP to become injured and become the Obsession
Step 2:
Healer gets themselves 99%ed and sticks with the Tank
Step 3:
When the Killer comes, pop the Healers heal to give them endurance and have them tank a hit.
Step 4:
When the Killer hits the Tank the Healer uses FTP on him. He then uses Endurance to tank another hit (and also get a MoM Proc)
Step 5:
Tank body blocks the next hit and then uses the Septic
Step 6:
Septic hit for 3 MoM procs
The Killer has now been forced to hit you two a total of 6 times without getting a down. Meanwhile both of you have a speed boost from blood pact the entire time so each hit takes a good amount of time as well. And if the Killer tries to leave you to go for a less invincible group then you just use prove thyself and resilience to gen rush.
If the Killer commits and hooks you then you have the MoM user 99% initially instead so that he can get the MoM proc without using the septic.
Meta:
Soul Guard + DS + BT + Unbreakable
You really can't escape the DS + BT combo nowadays. Soul Guard and Unbreakable is also just a super good combo and the existence of DS makes them want to slug. I'm sure you all know where this is going.

I'm still trying to think up of one for Spirit right now with the new Killer perks.
I guess Deathbound + Sloppy would be a good combo? Forcing Survivors to stay injured for longer as well as punishing them for healing up.

While the information is good, the thing about Spirit is that she doesn't really want to mess with her terror radius too much. So she's not the best user of the perk.
Oni or Clown would probably be the best but they would just slot it in as a solo perk in some other build, rather than making a full build around like what I have in the OP for Legion.

Updated due to having a 3rd seal + trail of torment combo pointed out to me.
The combo makes trail of torment work like it should be anyways.

Add a forced penance build for stealth Killers

Great job with these builds, @NuclearBurrito! Just amazing! 🤩

It's funny that "Dark Devotion" and "Nemesis" is just this but with double the duration and more reliability.

Yup. I'm trying to make it work because that's the whole point of the thread, but I didn't exactly have much to work with here.

Yeah the perks, except for "Deathbound", are pretty much.

MoM + Bloodpact on the same survivor is not a good idea, you said to go help the obsession and take a protection hit but with MoM you have more chances to become the obsession..
But if you play with a friend it's good if you play MoM to have your friend with Blood Pact, I already tried it.

How much have you actually tested taking both? Because I'm not sure what the odds are exactly of being the Obsession with the combo.
And yes, MoM + Bloodpact over 2 Survivors in a duo should work very well. Blood pact user runs healing perks while the MoM user runs a breakout build or something.

Btw, I've tested the forced penance build I posted using ghostface. I ended up replacing Nurses Calling with Whispers, but otherwise the build actually worked! So I've been able to get good value out of that build unironically.

Doesn't soul guard only give endurance when you are picked up from the dying state? It wont be usable in the tank build or the support healer build.

I didn't know that when I wrote those builds.
