Huntress with Iron Maiden feels too oppressive...
I find most Huntresses in games using Iron Maiden more often than any other killers in DBD.
I think the synergy is great with her relying heavily on lockers and etc.
But the issue is that while Iron Maiden takes away one of survivors' crucial methods of hiding, it also makes Huntresses become very oppressive as they get both advantages of knowing were the survivors are + having less lockers to worry about.
I would be glad to do bones if I find them (predicting comments who'd specify this) but she also has ranged attacks that interrupt most progression from a large distance so it's more easily said than done.
Any tips on getting over this? I mostly play solo and not SWF... Oh, and I'm currently rank 4...

Lockers aren't very good for hiding. I would just recommend not using lockers to hide against huntress.

Hide behind walls

do bones? this is about NOED now?

It's a wasted perk slot for Huntress really.
All it's good for is reloading hatchets, that's it. She's a 110% speed mobility killer who relies on her ranged attacks. By the time she's near you, your Exposed Status effect is long gone, and you should be too.

Yeah I wouldn't too, but you never know who the killer from the start and you also don't know Iron Maiden is active...
If I know I'm going up against Huntress, I'll never go in lockers lol 😁

I disagree wholeheartedly. Her running iron maiden means that she isnt running a stronger more meta perk. Her optimal build in my opinion is nurses, monitor/whispers, PGTW and bbq. I never really see a need to run iron maiden on any killer, even if it is to reload faster. Chances are youll never get the secondary effect to work and survivors will likely only be using lockers to juke bbq. but by the time huntress crosses 40 mteres the survivor will be long gone.

Bruh its literally just 15 seconds of exposed status effect, unless the killer is standing right next to you there is no real present threat
0 -
Ummmm, you do realize Iron Maiden also uses HEX totems too right?

I mean, sure 15 sec of exposed + letting the killer know where you are may seem less than trivial.
But, my point was that while I don't mind going up against other killers with IM, it's Huntresses that are kind of hard to deal with.
Simple because she relies on lockers for reloading and IM gives are a lot of advantages like stated above.

You don't need lockers to hide from BBQ if that's your concern. You can:
1) hide your aura behind a generator's aura.
2) move in one direction when someone gets hooked then change directions after 4 seconds.
3) hide within the killer's terror radius (BBQ only procs if you are more than 40m away when someone gets hooked) when they're about to hook someone.
As for hiding in general there's enough line of sight blockers on just about every map that you can use to hide behind instead of lockers. You shouldn't prioritize lockers especially when you're not injured.

I don’t think it’s a big deal. Don’t hide in lockers around huntresses. If Iron Maiden procs, hide out your exposed status effect.

No it doesn’t, at least on console, it is always there because I run it on kyf in customs

locker should be the last resort, if you are playing alone, you should not have a job with locker. If you are afraid of BBQ, play close to the killer (40m).
If you still love the locker, get into a locker as soon as the game starts and try what's waiting for you, act accordingly.
My humble advice is to avoid using the locker

I think the real question is:
Why are these Huntresses running Iron Maiden and not just the deer skin gloves addon?
I just don't think IM has all that much value. It's only good with Huntresses that are reloading during a chase.
The only thing that can makes Huntress feel "oppressive" are those jumbo hatchet hitboxes + dedicated servers.
edit: Idk, Huntress is slow and then there's the humming. I think the old tactic of "just hold w" works better against her than hiding in a locker

"I just wanted my damned hatchets dweet!" ~angry mommy huntress without hatchets, but a dweet
Seriously, many people underestimate the information BBQ+IM provides, but that's why people use it on huntress. It forces long range information for two perk slots. Just give it to her and train your loops!

Iron Maiden does pretty well against head on. No way to know youre headed into a match like that but when it works it works
2 -
Lord knows I've had that happen to me multiple times whenever I play as Huntress.
People really need to realize that Lockers are a no go when facing a Huntress, especially if you hide after seeing her finish a chase.

Wait...you hide in lockers against huntress? I dont think iron maiden is your problem....
Also, what do bones have to do with iron maiden??

*Imagine hiding in lockers against a Huntress*

"Out of my way #########, I've got to reload"
3 -
No it doesn't?
You open Lockers 30/40/50 % faster.
Survivors who exit Lockers suffer from the Exposed
Status Effect for 15 seconds and their location is revealed for 4 seconds.
Nothing about the bones here
Huntresses to my knowledge usually run it more to counter people hiding in lockers to avoid bbq cause having an auro allows for pro mlg 360 noscope long range shots
The added reload speed is just a cherry on top

I figured out doing a challange, the guy was not happy and suicided, dmd me wanting to know i was running iron maiden 😂😂

Yes, and no. It can synergize with BBQ. Players will try to hide in lockers to escape BBQ's aura reading. IM then gives you some map awareness.
But I do agree. The expose is pointless for slower killers to work with.

No it doesn't? It doesn't at all, are you sure you're reading the perk descriptions carefully? Iron Maiden is not stimulated through hex totems so it's not a fair comparison to NOED.

You want oppresive max static blast radius doctor with iron maiden. Most bs thing ive ever seen.

You don't hide in lockers against a Huntress, thats just bad p[lay

Iron Maiden on him in general is nice.
But you combo it with a The Game Offering, Distressing, and two Calm add-ons? Oh boy...

Never thought I'd see the day someone complains about Iron Maiden lol.
In seriousness though, this is a meme perk that is really, really bad. Even on Huntress it's a wasted perk slot. There are way better options.
Just don't use lockers against a Huntress as much.

Iron Maiden isn't anymore oppressive on Huntress than it is on any other Killer.
If anything it's less effective on her, because Survivors usually don't get in lockers against her. It's a good way to get grabbed/take a free hit when you jump out before she can grab you.
That said, I will agree the Iron Maiden + BBQ combo is a bit nasty. You don't need to slug, just hook the 3rd person and the 4th will reveal their location.
If you're a Killer with high mobility you basically just win - barring a Key play.

The only time you should hide in a locker against huntress is when:
- You have DS
- She is going for hatchets
This way, if played correctly, you stop her from getting hatchets and stun her. Otherwise why would you EVER hide in a locker against the Huntress?
Also Iron Maiden is still bad outside of the speed it gives her. Her hatchets don't instadown you so you shouldn't even have any issues.

tip: play the game for another 1000 hours

Using lockers is just not a good idea. Why be invisible in a locker when you can be invisible in a bush? If you're found you only lose a health state instead of being instantly downed. Lockers are just terrible.

This post confuses me so much.
Also, if you think Iron Maiden is OP, then you're probably terrified of Brutal Strength. It saves you just about as much time doing an action, but most killers will actually kick things during a match several times.
