Banned for testing/recording bug on PTB?
Surely this isn't a thing. While testing the new buff on Clown I discovered a glitch that lets you move far faster than usual, I won't explain how to do it just in case but to open a ticket I decided to record some footage. Survivors got really upset despite the fact that I wasn't actually trying to win using it and all disconnected, then told me I was getting banned, and left death threats in my Steam comments.
I've heard it all before, so no I'm not taking them seriously- but that got me thinking. Is it possible? Could I really be banned for trying to get a bug fixed before live?
Either way, people need to stop taking the PTB so seriously.

Take screenshots, and submit them to Steam and Dead by Daylight. Threats of any kind are not allowed.

I don't care enough to, my main concern is figuring out if you really can be banned for testing bugs on the PTB.

That's literally what the PTB is for -- testing bugs. So I wouldn't worry a bit. Report them though.

It's called the Player TEST Build for a reason. Submit the bugs you've found as well.
And get those players banned, they don't belong with the rest of society.

I watched a clip of it in the dbd discord server, I'm sure they're aware already

Ah, okay. The more people to report it the better.

We don't ban for finding or using bugs on the PTB. That's a big part of what the PTB is there for, after all. We'd only ban for obvious things that are out of the question whether you're on the PTB or not, such as extreme insults, threats, cheating, etc.
That said, just because something is broken, please don't go out of your way to abuse it. It does get in the way of testing for other people, so please just report it and carry on.

People who go on PTB for regular games are a special type of people.
