i would like to have spirit 'cause it fun to play her but of course you need to get used to her since imo she's quite hard

I don't know how it feels playing on console but I prefer Oni because his power is much more fun to play for me. Dash through the half map to furiously one shot someone is so satisfying. I have more hours playing Spirit because she released earlier but it wasn't as much fun as Oni.

I was an oni main on ps4, I suggest him but if you want a stronger killer get spirit, Oni is way more fun than spirit but with a controller Oni feels stronger and he is kinda easy to use.

Anyway they are both top tier killers you hate to go against if player is good. So who ever you choose you will not regret it.

Do you want more harder to play but one of the strongest Killers in game? Spirit is for you.

    Do you want to S M A S H ? Oni is for you.

I personaly like smashing. It's rly fun to one-shot someone in 90° degree.

    You called me?

    To answer your question:

It's pretty hard to say honestly.

    Spirit:

    -Has decent teachable perks

-Her power makes her pretty much the strongest killer in the game (at least for console)

-Her power isn't map reliant.Normally killers like Huntress and Billy have a hard time on indoor maps because they can't really use their power to their fullest potential.Same with stealth killers on open maps.Spirit doesn't have that problem.

-If you already know how to play killer then spirit shouldn't take too much time to do well with her unlike some other killers like nurse

    Oni:

-Really bad teachable perks for really niche playstyles

-His power is along with some other killers a extremely strong

-Unfortunately his power is also quite map reliant.Indoor maps make his power pretty much useless

-His power is also a lot harder to control than spirit and there is so much decision making you have to do when using him

-He's really fun and super satisfying once you've mastered him

Honestly you can't really make a bad decision at that point. Both Oni and spirit are top tier killers that are worth the time you spend on them to master their powers.

Overall i would take spirit over Oni,because she has decent perks and is overall easier and more consistent than oni.

I would still advise you to look at some gameplay from different streamers so you can see which killer seems more fun to you.

Depends on which one you like more..it’s like asking should I get an orange or a pineaple?

If you ask which one gives you more competitive advantage than get neither and buy Freddy.

Spirit. Overall much better killer. Has superior perks and more complementary add-ons.

Her chase is broken and worth a nerf but it’s not everything. Freddy being able to teleport to gens while still having strong chase and even some unpredictability makes him better overall especially for console.

Spirit. You could only see 40% of the screen when attack as Oni because his gigantic arms blind your screen when he swing the weapon.

In terms of fun, I would recommend Oni hands down. He's like Hillbilly, but much more fun mechanically! Plus, he feels very powerful when playing as him, and he's one of the Killers that I truly enjoy playing against. It's very fun to dash across the map and BAM BAM pesky Survivors, and you can M1 in his power as well, so you're not bound to trying to hit the bam bam. I personally enjoy playing him more than any other Killer, as I enjoy the depth that his ability offers and the mix-up in gameplay.

In terms of power, I guess I would recommend Spirit, but I personally think she's extremely boring to play. Most Survivors don't have any counterplay against her, and even Iron Will can't throw off a good Spirit, as you can just cancel your power and hit them anyway while they're trying to walk. HOWEVER, Oni has the advantage of a one-hit down and can snowball very easily when using Monitor and Abuse, while Spirit is a 110% speed Killer and can have difficulty on larger maps against decent Survivors. A well-played Oni is truly something to fear, and I admire a well-played Oni far more than a well-played Spirit.

All in all, just watch some YouTube videos on both of them and see which playstyle appeals to you more! Oni is hard to learn but satisfying to play and master, while Spirit is relatively easy to play but quite powerful, especially against average Survivors.

"SHOULD I GET ONI OR SPIRIT"

    Yes.

For me this comes down to your preference for style. But I've never paid that much attention to "Effectiveness" when choosing characters. For example I'm a Caitlyn main in LoL, and she's seldom in the top ranks of ADCs.

So it comes down to whether you would enjoy smoothly sailing around the map while invisible and scaring the ######### out of people, or rather would you prefer stomping around loudly and brutally smashing people in the face.

First of all: I don't know if these two are different on console compared to the PC version, but there shouldn't be a big difference.

Back to the topic: I am a big Oni fan. He combines power and fun. Actually Spirit does the same thing... but kinda better? At least in terms of strength. But that doesn't mean Oni is weak. Quite the opposite. Once the blood begins to flow the survivors can't really do much against a good Oni. However he is weaker in indoor maps. These maps take almost all the fun out of him imo. Spirit couldn't care less about maps if you ask me.

In the end it is just a matter of taste. This is really not an easy decision. You can't really go wrong with Spirit, but still I would recommend Oni for the sole reason that he is simply breathtaking.

    @Demonl3y Thx for summoning me.
