AFK killers....
Like seriously whats the point of playing killer if u just gonna stand like this ?
if ur in some kinda family stuff or idk getting ur self some food , don’t ready up as the killer and go....
i swear dead by daylight is the only game where i faced (ALOT) of afk killers .
Like seriously there should be rules or some
if there was an afk killer the entire match and u escaped or died
the afk killer loses pips and matchmaking locked for either 5 min or less .
ngl i faced 2 afk killers in a row as i was writing this 😂😂😂😂

Probably just deranking.
What does it matter? Do gens, find better stuff in chests, break bones, move on.

I'm wondering where all these AFKing killers are. I've seen a couple threads popping up about AFK killers and if it's punishable or whatever, but I haven't run into an AFK killer in months, and before that one time it had been even longer.
Not trying to disregard what you're saying or call you wrong, I'm just wondering where these AFK killers are, because I'm sure not running into them, and I don't think the several people complaining about the "Dwight the Brave" challenge ruining the game are running into very many AFK killers either. If anything, a wave of AFK killers is what those people complaining need right now so they can just EZPZ complete that challenge.
Anyway yea it kinda sucks running into an AFK killer, but stuff happens. Some people are just deranking or farming XP or something, but sometimes it's not intentional. I don't think I've ever gone AFK purposely (other than just letting the survivors finish the last generator and get out or something) but even the other day I almost thought I did, because I was in the middle of showering and couldn't remember if I had cancelled my queue or not. Luckily I did end up remembering to cancel it, but if I didn't I would have been busy and unable to make it back out in time to really do anything about it. As the above comment said, just do your gens and get out -- it's the easiest way to go about it.

Just report them for unsportsman like conduct, it's in there.

Sometimes it's down to the killer being in a long queue. They get understandingly impatient and go off to the toilet...or make a sandwich...or construct a small garden shed etc. It's not always on purpose (but most of the time it is).
The things with the killer being AFK is that it effects more people. The survivors went in to the match, wanting a fun experience, and get this. Although it's a 'free match'...it's not fun. All the waiting for a nothing match.
When a survivor is AFK, the other teammates could be at a crippling disadvantage, but can still pull off a potentially entertaining game.

So if it happens alot im just gonna do gens and thats it , what if it happens to me alot ?

Reporting system in this game does literally nothing.

Funny how people say that about every reporting system everywhere and then end up not reporting anyone, meaning nobody gets banned. It's almost like it's a self-fulfilling promise or something.

how do u know if i didn’t report ?
you live near me or some?
pal i did report it it literally does nothing same when i was reporting a killer who always appears in my matches and camp.
come on , don’t assume

You do know things happen even when you're not looking, right? Bans aren't public knowledge, so I'm wondering how you know that "it literally does nothing".
Also, camping is not bannable.

From my experience, AFK-Killers increase a few days after a new Tome-Level was out. Most likely those players finished their Challenges and decide to farm Rift Fragments by "playing" as Wraith and do something else while their Killer is in the Match.
This is just my observation. It does not mean that like every Match is against a AFK-Killer, I would say it is less than 10% for me, maybe even less than 5. But not anything that is good by any means.

I 'pretend' to AFK with NOED, Rancor and Bloodwarden to get kills.
Survivors will get gens done, open the door and come play with the AFK killer. Once Endgame passes half way, I insta down with either NOED, or Rancor if they did totems. I get the hook and now they are trapped until Endgame will kill them.

This is why I follow a very simple rule: if you can leave, then leave.

I can promise you people get banned
These are accounts I have saved and looked at after my reports and the majority of accounts that I check up on after I've reported them are banned.
Please please please report people breaking the rules, people saying the system doesn't work are just wrong. Tickets are sequential, the last report I did (today) was #530050 they get hundreds of tickets to go through with a team of about 10 people, it takes time.

Rift takes awhile

Survivors cry if you camp them, tunnel them, mori them, LET THEM ESCAPE, what are you entitled hypocrites going to cry about next? That there's nothing else to get?

Lmao banned

Honestly after being pitted against a red rank killer time and again, it can be a little refreshing having an AFK killer. It's the last thing that should happen, but at the same time as a level 8 survivor I shouldn't be having to face level 1 Killers either.

I was going to write up some pitchforky / killer's should be penalized post. I read your post, and I thought yup had that same feeling. :)

AFK? Report for afk, if it's a trend maybe something will happen.
If it's a MACRO AFK...swinging weapon etc, REPORT THE **** outta that person. Free BP and depiping (when matchmaking's already struggling to find good matches???) should be punished.
Never Camp, Never Tunnel, Expect to lose 1/2 of your games, and Have some Fun in the Fog!

Lies, the whole of reality exists only within my perception!

I do it from time to time. I queue to have one more match and I'm in my burnout limit, while in the match something unfun happens and I stop playing. Sometimes is leaving the PC sometimes is just alt+tab and surfing the internet.
The game still go on without a killer playing, nothing much changes, just a bit more of m1.
It's pretty uncommon to face an afk killer as a survivor tho.
