What’s your pet peeve during a game?

Usually for me it’s when a killer overly patrols the same area and you’re trying to finish a generator Without being caught 😱. Especially when it’s one of the last generators left. And when you go to try to attempt to power the gate the killer sneaks up on you and downs you 😁. However I was lucky lately to find the hatch and had no problems.

For me, it is when a Redeemer shot clearly hit the survivor, but misses because hitboxes are weird.

When I’m a killer and the survivor throws downs god pallet for no reason when I’m 10 feet away. That really bothers me because their just giving their teammates a harder time and giving dead weight. Another thing is when I get hooked at the beginning of a match because the killer spawned like 20 ft away and that one useless teammate decides to crouch all the way to you although the killer is on the other side of the map chasing someone else. And when they finally get there the killer starts chasing them. I’m looking at you NEA.

When I'm trapper. I pick up someone, they ds, then step in a trap and rage quit.

When a person dcs late game (killer or surv) when they clearly lost. You went through all that trouble, at least take some points with you.

Yesterday I this one teammate of mine was not very bright did nothing to help the team and tried to crawl to me.The killer was near by and I didn’t want to risk being caught healing him.I signaled my teammate to go somewhere else so I wouldn’t be downed.I left my teammate to die because he deserved it.

I'm the opposite. When Survivors throw pallets early especially on maps that aren't mindgame-able it totally wrecks my early game because its so much harder to get a kill and it makes me lose 2-3 gens before they even start to be affected by the dead zones

For me, it's when people ragequit because they can't like normal well-adjusted adult humans.

Survivor: Teammates who kill themselves on hook because they got caught first. Also being tunneled by a Killer; I’d rather be camped than tunneled.

Killer: Survivors that one tap gens that I just kicked and also people who farm/sandbag others. I will face-camp the hell out of a sandbagger.

Killer: Head On being used when there was no tactical advantage to doing so. If it's when I'm actively chasing you, about to check the locker you're in, or to save someone I'm carrying, well done, you outplayed me AND used the perk in the way it was likely intended, no ill will felt!. If I'm just walking past the locker with absolutely no idea you're there and not chasing anyone else, it's clearly just intended to be a dick. No one thing survivors do bothers me quite as much as the random "haha, get ######### killer" head ons.

Survivor: Other survivors doing anything but gen rushing if I'm getting camped on the hook. Kindred is a standard part of my build, you can see the killer is camping, punish the behavior. If you're hook rushing me or crouching 10 meters away hoping the killer gets bored and leaves, I'm 100% more likely to work to kill myself so that the killer isn't rewarded with another hook for camping. If you're rushing the gens to punish the behavior, I will do all in my power to take 2 minutes and one second to die.

When someone dc during the mori or 3rd hook... I mean, you're dead anyway, why discard all the points...

Pet peeve.. probably seeing self care and urban still being used at red ranks.

As killer it's probably how inconsistent PWYF can be and how Bubbas chainsaw can randomly have such a wide hitbox. I wouldn't say these are pet peeves, just stuff that really irritates me.

Oh gawd. My wife runs Kindred all the time, and she gets so mad at people who just don't use the information at all.

You're hooked, the killer is clearly standing still, you know the entire team can see it, but you see three teammates all crouching around you just doing nothing.

"Maybe THIS time if we just wait the killer out, the hook will break and you won't die! Yeah!"

Or you're hooked, the killer turned and walked away, you know the entire team can see it, but...well, same thing, three teammates all crouching around you, all timidly taking one step toward you every three seconds.

With the buff to Kindred I feel like we have a definitive answer of "would more information bring solos in line with SWF?"...and that answer is a solid no. So frustrating.

    Rage for me:

1 ) game crashes for no reason. No Debug menu shows up.

2 ) killers using Locator perks.

3 ) Survivors body blocking other survivors.

4 ) Survivors pulling other survivors down infront of the killer.

5 ) Survivors that add the killer as a friend on steam and SELL out their team mates in Discord.

    6 ) Hatch closing.

During a game? Well before lockdown it was people knocking at my front door in the middle of a match 😄

Actually invovled with the game? Crap matchmaking.

WGLF. Without it, I get like, what? 15k (20 if I play very very well). With a few stacks, I can do a mediocre run, and even die, and still earn more. Heck, sometimes "suiciding" to earn protection hit is better than surviving...

Seeing multiple survivors in my team running Self-Care.

A killer feeling so insecure that they bring NOED even though they either:

    • have already packed a shitton of slowdown/game delay perks and addons
    • they brought an ebony mori
    • they are playing a killer that can reliably instadown survivors

Survivors dead-harding for distance to get to a pallet/window, even though they ######### up and should be dead by now.

    When survivors 3-gen themselves

When a killer Pop Goes the Braincells a certain generator like 7 times in a single match, though I've got to say I'm guilty of doing that too

When I'm going against a spirit, freddy or the funslinger. For some reason my game bugs out and my F key stops working during the struggle phase against the latter two🙄

Getting farmed off the hook. There's no reason to unhook me IMMEDIATELY when I have a solid minute to just hang there. Give the killer a second to leave first...

Alternatively, being left on the hook so long that I go into struggle on my first hook because teammates are just starting a gen (finishing one that's halfway, I get, but like... don't start a new one) or they're self-caring across the map.

As a killer, if I hear the flashlight click, I ignore you. Had a Claudette do that to me as I went for her unhooker. Like, thanks for letting me know you have BT, I'll ignore you for a bit. But the clicking itself is a peeve.

Also as killer: immersed survivors. Feels bad man if I go a whole match and get a 3k but never even SAW the 4th person. I don't get the fun in that from either side.

Losing because gens are too fast, not because you got outplayed.

  • johnmwarner
    johnmwarner Member Posts: 3,793

To be fair stealth should be the correct way to play, but it’s boring. In a “real life,” situation you wouldn’t run at a giant Oni clicking your flashlights to taunt him, you would creep around hiding behind cars and in lockers.

For either side it's when I see survivors stand and wait at pallets. It hurts me physically to see it, wasting a pallet and the opportunity to make distance.
