Can’t mindgame at red ranks
I’m having trouble at every loop mindgaming in red ranks and it feels like I’m just wasting my time because they’re always guessing correctly. So should I just not bother doing it and keep going for them or what can I do because I feel helpless.

I dunno what to tell you, other than to keep practicing. Players are just way better at this sort of thing at high ranks.

Alot of mindgaming is switching it up and knowing the survivor your chasing. If the guy your chasing is noobish and not even looking behind him...mindgames aint gonna work because hes not seeing any of it. On the other side though, if the survivor IS paying attention...you cant do the same move over and over again and expect it to work. Sometimes you fake that your going one way with a red stain mindgame, sometimes you ACTUALLY go.

Have you tried watching videos of people playing killer?
Try watchin Otzdarva, Umbra, zubat, there are others but can't remember.

I started in Nov. 2018, and there have been various points where I have believed this about myself, but I keep at it and keep surprising myself, so don't give up.
As survivor, I got to a point where I assumed I would never make it past green ranks because I am so bad at looping and chases, but now I can consistently hit rank 4 every season as a solo player (although pipping in red ranks is another story). I still think I am a big potato when it comes to looping, but I have gotten semi-decent at mindgaming the shack and the easy double-window loops.
As killer, I bit the bullet a while ago and decided to commit deeply to Spirit, a killer that I was really bad with but wanted to put the time in to learn. I got to the point where I was able to predict survivor movements, catch them at windows, and triangulate location based on sound and movement visuals. I actually got pretty decent for my rank (although I have never gone above purple ranks as killer, alas). I took a break from the game for a while and am now pretty rusty with Spirit, but now I know I am capable of playing her semi-competitively for my rank band.
So yeah. You probably won't notice dramatic improvements all at once, but you will hone your game sense little by little, over time. Believe me, I am not special or great at these kinds of games in any way, so if I can keep learning new stuff even at higher ranks, so can you.

Post a video of your gameplay so we can see what possible mistakes you make when trying to mindgame.
It would make it much easier to give you tips based on that.
