Spine Chill
Not going to lie but this perk is pretty fun to use. However I think it really kills the aspects of a “Horror Game.”

i wish it had a cooldown kinda lame if i walk over to a gen and everyone just jumps off 2 mins in advance

The perk shouldn't be effective against stealth killer's imo because it takes away the element of surprise from them
1 -
Agreed, it shouldn’t work on a killers who have the undetectable status on them, this perk basically makes them powerless.

Would be very interesting on how they would give the perk a cooldown. Personally, I think it’s fine in its current state but make undetectable killers unaffected by the perk. It is really silly how One perk counters 6 killers.

The idea is that it's supposed to have a tradeoff, which is increasing skill check difficulty, but it's not really noticeable.
0 -
Nah it's fine how it is. If it ruins the horror aspect then.. don't use it. If you're the killer then.. don't look directly at a survivor you're trying to sneak up on.

Spine Chill op pls nerf 😂

I was keeping track of perks tonight, Spine chill came up the third most, 15 times in 15 games. 1 game all 4 had it. Might be a good idea to start approaching gens sideways 🤷♂️

Really don't understand why some people complain about spine chill, it's one of the only perks that isn't a part of the meta that a decent amount of people use. I don't want to have to use the same perks as everyone else but if they nerf perks that aren't even OP, that'll be all that's left to use.

Isnt what "a decent amount of people use" what defines the meta? Im not complaining people can use what they want, just saying.
1 -
Thats a drawback? I always viewed that as a positive since hittibg greats speeds things up

When I say a decent amount of people I mean that you'll probably see one person using it every match, unlike DS that everyone seems to use. I basically mean common enough to see that it's popular but not so common that more than half of the players use it every match.
3 -
Agreed. There just aren't enough good perks to justify nerfing one like Spine Chill.
4 -
Out of 15 games I tracked it showed up 15 times of the time. It was used more than Iron Will. It was only beat by decisive and adrenaline, it was also used more than self care.
Again, im not complaining I think its fine how it is, im just saying if those numbers continue to hold up it IS meta.

Not sure I agree. It gives a "sixth sense" that something is nearby. There is no aura sight attached to it. Sure, when I run Pig, it sometimes sucks to not get grabs, but eh.

@indieeden7 here, this is what I mean

Counters 6 killers? Wraith, Shape, Pig, Ghost Face, who is the fifth and sixth?
0 -
Never said it was “OP”, I basically said it takes away the horror aspect of the game and guts stealth killers powers.

🙄🙄🙄

Meant 5, Deathslinger. At this point I’ll count him as a stealth killer.

I didn't care for Spine Chill, until I picked up Pig. God, do I hate Spine Chill

You literally said it shouldn't work against stealth killers which would nerf the perk into the ground for absolutely no reason since good stealth killers (or good killers in general) study the survivors. If you notice they disappear all the time they obviously got Spine Chill which means you have to approach the gen sideways like any good stealth killer. You can literally counter the perk by looking slightly away. As for the atmosphere. The game never felt like a horror game in the first place.

I saw it as a buff to stealth killers. It is so dumb to have an “Undetectable” status just to be seen a mile away by one perk.
0 -
Surely it's just as dumb to change the perk so that it doesn't work while undetectable is active. It isn't that difficult to know when a killer with a heartbeat is coming towards you now is it?
0 -
How is it dumb? It is a simple change. It could probably make Dark Devotion a lot better. I never said to change the perks wording. They just need to make Undetectable, Undetectable.
1 -
Yeah, just a huge nerf. No big deal. 🙄
0 -
Because what's the point in a detection perk if it only works against killers that aren't stealthy? Why would I bring a perk that gives me information that I'm already being told through whether or not the Terror Radius is getting louder?

I am going to take a big fat guess and say that you guys do that Spine Chill, Resilience ,iron will and Dead Hard Build.

Heres someone explaining how to counter it, which after seeing the numbers im going to start doing

Well they should at least lower the number from 36 meters. I have used spine chill and I have enough time to get to a safe pallet and for my scratch marks to go away. This perk makes blendettes even harder to find.

It’s a great perk but you are still able to sneak attack people. It tells the survivor you’re looking at them, but it doesn’t let them know what direction you’re coming from. I’ve found plenty of people hiding with their back towards me thinking I was coming from the opposite direction and like others have said, when you know somebody has it, you can start walking sideways / backwards towards areas you think they are in.
I mostly play as Ghostface or Michael and I can encounter SC a lot and I’d say that 9/10 I didn’t even notice a difference.
