Calm Spirit and No Mither
If Calm Spirit can counter Doctors power, why doesn’t No Mither work against The Oni? It says you leave no pools of blood, so why do you still leave blood orbs? It just seems like an oversight to me.
I mean, sure if you had an entire team of people running No Mither he wouldn’t be able to use his ability, but why does it matter? He’s going against an entire team of one hit downs. And let’s be real, how often do you actually come across No Mither?

Yeah, No Mither should not generate Blood Orbs. A Survivor Team already has a handicap when there is one (or multiple) No Mither-players in it. And Oni will get his power, eventually, since the Survivors who dont have No MIther will still generate Blood Orbs.
Like you said, the only exception is a team full of No MIthers, but this is very rare (like, how often does that happen? Once every 10k games? If at all?) and Oni gets an advantage of it.
I mean, there should still Blood Orbs spawn when he hooks someone. So he will get to use his power, but rarely during No Mither-games.

Calm Spirit doesn't completely counter docs powers. Doc can still shock the survivor to make them not be able to vault windows and drop pallets.
No Mither would basically completely counter Oni if this would happen. Imagine survivors all went in using No Mither and they ended up facing an Oni. He would have nothing.

Exactly. And even if that does happen, it can happen now with Doctor. What’s stopping an entire SWF all using Calm Spirit and if he isn’t running any add-ons that show your aura, he’s screwed. It just doesn’t sit right with me that Oni gets a free pass. I like using No Mither a lot, but it’s so annoying when you load in with blood orbs flying about. It’s completely goes against what the perk is supposed to do.

That’s only in chase. Most Doctors use his power to locate survivors which Calm Spirit counters.
And like it’s already been said in this thread, it’s extremely rare for you to encounter one person using No Mither, let alone an entire team. And also, how is going against a team of one-hit downs in any way a handicap to Oni? It’ll be easier for him to win. It’s less work.

I have already approved of this idea, with the same arguments.
But today concerning Oni, I propose rather than healing actions (to be healed, or sutured, even perhaps when using a Styptic Agent, an Anti-Haemorrhagic Syringe, Inner Strength or Second Wind...) block the creation of blood orbs.

Because Devs clearly said that Blood Pools and Blood Orbs are 2 completely different things.

Its simply because perks that entirely invalidate a killers power would be a big no no. Like as you say, calm spirit counters doc but not entirely, you can still zap then mid chase, you can still aoe shock for the madness increase and you'll still know someone got static blasted due to the bloodpoint gain and the UI
Plus, the reason you still drop bloodorbs is because the bleeding has nothing to do with it. With Oni they released Yui and one of her perks stops bleeding when injured (for a time at least). That perks has alot less of a drawback as no mither so imagine a full team using it. The oni would never use his power besides from the passive gain and the 2 orbs per hook, and that is with the passive gain taking 7 minutes to "fill" the bar
It also means bleed rate has no bearing on the blood orb gain, so sloppy butcher and blood echos dont mean more drop, and thats fine since it means his power is consistent. Is it annoying to enter a match against oni as a no mither? Yeah of course, but thats the lottery you play when picking no mither
