Tell me about how your rank system work
When killer is in low rank, they face 4 red rank, sometimes even rank 1s. When they get into rank 1, they get lower rank survivor like rank 6 and 5. What?

Unfortunately ranks mean nothing with the current matchmaking system in place. I'm a level 7 survivor that constantly get matched against level 15 to 17 killers. On the flip side as a level 13 killer I get matched against red and purple survivors. The new matchmaking system is supposed to look into skills instead of numbers and it's supposed to be coming this month so hopefully we'll see a dramatic improvement.

For me matchmaking works fine when i am in yellow rank.
The hell rank when matchmaking starts to be bad is around rank 11 or 10 for me.
In these ranks i start to get at least 2 red ranks in every match.

to these days they still haven't addressed the matchmaking issue, we don't know if it's a code error or lacking of players. To bypass completely the problem they're gonna introduce a new matchmaking system, probably as busted and even more exploitable.

yeah its really bizarre. i didn't play this game for a few months and i was taken all the way back to rank 20, and while in rank 20-16 it was fine. but after that i started getting greens and purples and a couple red ranks.

Which goes to show that ranks mean nothing in this game. I know the ranks reset every month, but if you don't play for awhile then you get reset all the way back to level 20 despite the fact that you are not a level 20 killer/survivor.
Personally I'm glad that they're implementing a matchmaking system that looks into skills. Sadly this is something that should have happened years ago.

oh absolutely. i was a bit rusty for sure when i came back but theres certain skills and strategies that dont leave you in this game. a rank 20 could be someone brand new or someone like me who has a level 50 pig using all tier 3 perks and purple add ons. i really hope the new system actually works decently. i always felt looking at rank and character level would work better.

Yeah I've only been playing this game for a few months, but it used to catch me off guard when I would see level 17 Killers with maxed out perks from other killers. I used to scratch my head thinking how is such a thing possible? Now I know! LOL

Here's the main issue with the current matchmaking from what I've heard. And please, spread the word if you could.
Matchmaking will prioritise people of a similar rank, as it should. IF some bright spark leaves the lobby, the matchmaking will expand the parameters slightly in an attempt to fill in the gap quicker. More leavers, the wider the gap. So, once again we can blame lobby-dodgers for a terrible time rather than the devs!
