Anyone else getting nice messages?
Usually I'm getting negative messages about me playing a certain way, or doing a certain thing, or just playing sub par, but over the past day or so I've been receiving some nice messages instead. It's probably the most positive messages I've seen over a day.
Anyone else getting alot of positive messages recently?

When I play survivor I usually get positive messages as well. However, I have noticed a very small increase of positive messages when I play killer - usually when I lose, but sometimes when I win as well.

Well... I know it's gonna sound crazy... But I've actually seen more nice comments rather than negative ones recently while playing as the Killer. I also noticed that if Survivors are toxic in the game (tbagging, flashlight spamming) they also give up on giving any comments. Who knows, maybe I'm just lucky?

Its sad that DBD has caused me to read all the messages as negative right off the bat.
The first image I assumed was sarcastic due to YOU having gotten him killed, but after reading the others I see you actually saved them.

Actually in the first one me and two other randoms saved a guy while I was going for the Yui adept.

No.

As killer I usually message the survivors after. Just try to be nice and get a good conversation going. Usually get good replies back.

yes, I often kill 3 and let 4th go and that seems to always net me nice messages. Even when I kill 3 early,. if I let one go the entire team always is cool.

Same here, although often I'll have the third guy who died ask why I let the "bad" player go.

I usually say gg to the killer unless im morid off of first hook then i dont say anything. I apologize for the matchmaking.
As killer i usually let last person go if they dont wiggle. But i also never use really good add ons. For huntress i use the blind and hindered brown add ons. I have a bunch of them. I rarely go with anything over a yellow add on. Last time i used iri head. I only threw at injured people for most of the game. I lost lol.
Back on topic, i usually try to send gg's when i lose or if the game was really close

I get a ton of friendly messages as killer...
...if all 4 survivors get out
(Even then I'm likely to just get yelled at, though)
Usually I try to pay a compliment or something to the survivors - mostly because it seems to help my own mood to be the "better person" - but they don't even seem to like that.
When I play survivor, I never get any messages period.

I'm pleased to say that for a longest time in a row I've either received small, nice messages or nothing at all. So refreshing to not have negative crap flung your way!

I played Iri head only huntress and was messaged saying That I should use Infantry belt with Iri head

With the messed up MM, I've been getting killers who really shouldn't be playing someone like me.
I try to send them some form of encouragement or helpful tip (for example, one guy was a Nurse who kept chasing me but never used Blink so I messaged them to let them know the speed difference and how you'll never catch a survivor in a straight chase as the nurse).

The Xbox app

That's nice of you.

I remember how ######### this game can be for brand new players (as the game gives you no info really beyond the most basic of basic info) and when some poor yellow bastard with one perk gets into the match with a bunch of Red Ranks, I could see that absolutely crushing a new players desire to play. That Nurse I mentioned got one hit TOTAL that entire game and that was on me because I finished a gen in a basement and had to walk through the Nurse to get out.
The game has a brutal learning curve so I'm just at least trying to do my part to keep new blood injected into the game :)

Yeah it can be brutal for new players. New survivor. No idea how to loop. No knowledge about the map layout. That or oh hey, play killer. Get kick in the rear due to awful match making and not having a good idea how to best use your killer power. No idea how to deal with loops. That and having to earn and spend possibly millions of blood points, to get a decent build. It can be rough for a new player for a number of reasons, if they buy the game and just wanna hop in right away and not have to read or look things up online.

Careful with swear words on xbox, very easy to get comm ban on there for simply saying a swear.
2 -
I have nothing but negative comments on my profile.
1 -
Luckily the guy didn't go report me, although I should blur that out too.
2 -
Ive noticed the number of negatuve messages i get has decreased and the number of positive have increased. Very slightly for both

I have messaging turned off. So I don't get positive or negative ones.

Dear whoever needs to hear this,
You are a nice dude(nonbinary context).
People like you and I hope you have a yummy dinner.
Sincerely,
SpookyStabby

if I say something positive in post game chat the survs tend to be positive as well, I am definitely set on keeping a positive attitude during games in the hopes it rubs off on other people, and I think it's starting to work

Gonna screenshot this and send it to whoever is nice next lol.

If your avatar was a forum emote it's what the vibe would be right now, friend. :3

I surprisingly got a nice message from a Legion last night. It was on the Game map, and they only got one kill. Myself and two other randoms escaped. Afterward the Legion sent me this;
Very rare I get messages like that from killers who did not get many kills, and were not even playing toxic at all. I get the feeling this person gets a lot of salt from entitled survivors, and its given them a complex.

When I play survivor yeah I literally always get positive messages. When I play killer I get one gg a month. The rest are death threats, racist slurs, homophobic comments and just toxic messages. At one point I just turned my xbox messages off. I recently turned them back on cuz why the hell should I have to turn them off. I report them obviously but one time I tried telling a dbd help person but they said there's nothing they can do. I dunno I just thought it Maybe if I showed them the gamer tag and the evidence of them hurling homophobic comments they would have Maybe banned him. Like I know it's not an in game thing but you'd think they wouldn't want people like that playing there game.
1 -
If it's not in-game, they can't punish people for it. Can you imagine being banned from this forum because of something you said on Facebook?
1 -
Yeah I get it. Just wish these kinds of people weren't allowed to play. Just wishful thinking.
1 -
Same. You can help with that by reporting them to the people who can actually deal with them: Sony or Microsoft (depending on the console).
3 -
Yeah I do that everytime. It's just there toxicity in every community but in dbd I just find those so much more then normal. Which is sad cuz I feel like the bad part of the community can sometimes over shadow the good.
2 -
Just keep reporting them and don't respond to them in any way. Ignore them completely, it drives them crazy and they usually give you more report material.
1 -
Yeah I've learnt to just keep my mouth shut. Just keep reporting the toxics until they get banned after the hundredth report

Sony and Microsoft are much quicker with the ban hammer, from what I hear. Regardless, better the 100th than never.
2 -
Yeah xbox take forever but it's better then nothing.

I get called C**t a lot.

Whenever I play either side I always end it with a "GGWP c:) and a reference to a play they made, iv yet to get a good message from anyone :/

I usually always get negative messages when I play killer. I usually take them with a grain a salt and let them go. I'm having fun that's what matters.
I've had some nice messages but not many to write home about. Lot of toxic players on Xbox :(

It's good to hear The community is being alittle nicer to one another.
I too have received afew positive messages as Survivor. But slightly more toxic messages as Killer

When I play survivor, I get a lot of nice messages, not counting your basic GG's. When I play killer, I get cussed out a lot, win or lose, even after giving them props. Starting to think killer mains are sado-maso's.

I like to compliment or at least give a gg to anyone who is a good sport and or does something really tactically. Earlier I played against a Meyers with a good team of survivors and his gen pressure was excellent. Had to message him for that one. Never tunneled or camped us, just played the gens like a mad lad and made good use of T3. Really close game and I love those bc we had 3 good loopers. Cheers to that Meyers guy!

Yes
I've recently started playing PC having moved from PS4 and have enjoyed playing killer again.
After almost 2 weeks I'm a rank 7 killer & survivor and only recently playing killer have I had some negative messages.

I occasionally get nice messages when I play Killer, since I often prefer to farm and am fine with letting people escape. Once got called the nicest Ghost Face ever and more recently got thanked for not Death Hooking a Laurie I kept downing (I kept running into her, downed her for the pressure but didn't stop her getting picked up).

NGL I looked at the Title of your post before opening it and thought it was sarcasm, it makes me happy that I was wrong. I've also seen an increase in good sportsmanship ❤️

Irrelevant but relevant question. Can XBOX have spaces in their usernames?

I usually get messages like saying holy moly you are bad, etc. But lately its been GGs and holy moly you are an amazing pig. Like last night I got a message think they were gonna try and talk crap but instead actually said they had a good game and asked for tips.
Honestly, made me really good that night and boosted my mood! There are always some good people in the bunch.
