I don't understand why...like....
- You can't add blood to clothes why? It's just pasting the same paint splatter on your current cosmetics. You're just pasting it on the current ones, literally just wearing a cosmetic on top of a cosmetic.
- 2 vs 8 game mode? 2 vs 10 game mode on KYF? Why? This isn't hard...like, what?
- Adding more gens on KYF, adjusting the gens or the totems, or how many survivors or killer on KYF, what?
- Why can't you start a KYF alone? Killer or survivor, I don't understand.
So many more to think about but I'm really tired.

I think it's more to do with the time to do those things, not that they cannot. There's a lot of stuff to go into 2 vs 10, mostly aesthetic wise such as how will two terror radii work if they're different themes, how can a survivor evade a chase without both killers tag teaming and double hitting, etc.
But! I think they do need to figure some stuff out like how hook auras have been so bad lately, etc.
Every update brings a new round of glitches that seem unrelated to whatever else they present.
Devs also seem to like to dodge responsibility, prime example being hitboxes. Instead of saying "okay sorry we'll fix it" they made an entire video explaining how bad their hitboxes are in comparison to the character model. Sure, they can do worse, but they're going to waste time explaining with a video instead of having someone put time into fixing it? Odd. It was just a slap to players basically saying "here's why you're complaining, now look at why your experience is bad and give us pity"

- It would have been do-able back when the store first started. Now it would be a ridiculous amount of work for something that, to be honest, wouldn't actually get used that much.
- Server load balancing. It's just not that easy. It might be more possible now with dedicated servers, but KYF isn't run on dedicated servers to my understanding (or maybe it is?). Those modes in a live game would require balancing, and they can't even balance the base game correctly.
- Eh, not really a pressing issue.
- This I actually agree with. I would love to explore different maps, learn tile variations of new maps as they come out etc.

Not very code centric problems so much as design. They aren't a AAA studio, afterall. Yes, they do have a notable budget and team size, but it is divided up in weird ways and some people have very specific jobs.
Increasing gens in KYF would be very complicated and limited. Every single map in the game (which is a lot) would have to be redesigned for every single generator count increase or decrease, and then tested with several different genspawn variations. Yeah, the code is going to be a problem there, but mainly the design is what's in the way.
I do think having bots to play offline in kyf would be nice, or even just being able to mess around alone to test perks or something, maybe with AI controls ala a fighting game training mode. We've seen AI done pretty damn well with mobile. I'd love to see them at least try.
I do think having bigger matches might be fun for a brief event, but really can't be worked out in the current infrastructure of the game. There are a metric ######### load of factors to it, and it would probably only feel worth it if they did something like everybody is on the same map with 8-11 gens or whatever, and only 4 or 5 survivors and 1 killer will be on one 'plane' at once, with the killers tagging into each others games. Problems would also arise with any map control characters. Trapper, Pee Head, Hag, Demo, etc. would all be bunk or have to work very differently. All of this on top of the fact that either it would decimate queue times or be a temporary event, and it isn't feasibly worth doing. I think the best way for them to spice up gameplay is secondary objectives or changes to the way survivor works right now, as generators are a huge bore. That, or having more events akin to the halloween ones or the upcoming anniversary event. If we had one of those a month, things would hardly ever get dull. They could recycle them, even, and I think it would still do a lot for the tediousness of gameplay right now.
Funny you mention the blood thing, given the new prestiges... :( (nervously glances at zarina and then at hag)

I use to rage a lot at DBD but trust me there are WAAAAY worse coded games where playing on patch day is a suicide. They all get fixed in 1-2 days tho...

No kiddin'. I mean a lot of the ones prior to the ST chapter were a bit lacking in blood, but ever since then it has been especially lame. Personally, I feel like no part of Ash should have been visible, and he should've just been caked head to toe in the red stuff, and honestly ghostface's is kinda lame too, but god, Zarina is just the worst yet. Even Slinger's was better. I know they're adding new incentives and rewards for prestiging, but the current ones have been really lacking as of late.
As a Zarina tertiary, I am upset.

They have said that it's not just clicking the add blood button. It's an entire sepperate cosmetic they make
2v8 or 10 isn't hard? 1v4 has already been an uphill battle to balance. Not to mention all the different killer powers how they would work together and avoiding bugs and stuff. You don't want the game to crash if billy runs into another killer with his chainsaw cause the game doesn't know what to do in that situation. What to do with 2 overlapping terror radiusses. Etc. Etc.
All the KYF stuff is also unnececarry. Let's be generous here and say it take a day to implent (being very generous here). Would you as boss really let your programmar work for an entire day for something bassicly meaningless while he could be spending that time working on the actual game. That's not how bussiness works. Why take the time to implent something like 2v10 on kyf wich is something only friend groups of 12 can play if you can work to make the game better for the individual

lol did you read what I posted? It's adding a cosmetic on top of cosmetic. Why press the QUOTE button when I've already addressed how to add the Blood situation to every cosmetic. You'll be overlapping 2 cosmetics to make it look like every cosmetic has a P3.
And no, 2v10 isn't hard and neither is 2v8 since there are already videos on 2v3 and 3v1, or have you been under a rock the past year. It's already been done on KYF, and it's been done fine. Want me to post a vid? And who the hell balances around KYF? KYF doesn't affect rank or bloodpoints because it's more of a testing ground it wouldn't affect Live play.
I'm assuming you've living under a rock, so here's a 4 Killers vs 1 survivor and it looks perfectly fine.

... I said it's not just adding a add blood button, they have to make an other cosmetic for that to work. unless you're fine with bloodsplatters floating or clipping through things in half the cosmetics
Also i love the video you posted. Survivors dying instantly to pig trap. perfectly fine indeed. People getting insta-downed cause killers timed their swings. Such flawless and compelling gameplay if that was implented. Definitivly worth the time and effort to make that available for the very few that would play KYF.
My point stands that adding these things and actually make it polished atleast a little would take time and money that wouldn't be worth it. Not to mention that 2 v anything would be a horrible game mode. they would just gang up on a single survivor one by one and then you have a impossible to escape from tunnel simulation for one half of the survivors and a gen repairing simulation for the other half

You have no idea how many people would be playing KYF.
It's the MOST REQUESTED GAME MODE for a reason, they've said it themselves. People would be FLOODING to KYF and that's the reason why don't implement it. It'll split the player base.

Well, good luck on your path on becoming a program, when it's in about 10 or 20 years please do come back and let the community know why it wouldn't be possible other than "it'll mess up the code" or whatever other excuse you'll be providing for not doing it while simultaneously finding other ways how to implement the cosmetic with a price tag on it instead of giving it to the ones that have already earned their P3 cosmetics.

From my understanding they can't do much from the way they coded there game.
they would have to make a DBD 2 start from the ground up to fix a lot of there #########.
but lets face it, it wont happen till there game is basically which it wont for another 2-5 years till "the game" comes out and kills them

Being the most requested doesn't change that it completely wouldn't work in a satisfying way with the current system.
I also want to add i didn't mean to insult you in my first post, I was trying to point out that these things are not as easy as they seem but after reading it again it did come out a lot harsher then intended.

Consider the fact that, while all of this would be nice, it could also introduce a number of additional bugs because of the amount of coding/programming that goes into the game as a whole.
Just remember when they added Plague and her puke ability making survivors broken. Until they released her, survivors didn't have problems healing injured survivors. As soon as they made the broken status conditional outside of No Mither, a bug was introduced that prevented injured survivors from being healed even if they didn't have the broken status effect.

even a lazy simple copy paste bloody effect for everyone would be appreciated
just because you are happy with a basic p3 outfit doesn’t mean everyone is. The argument that Dbd is by a small company doesn’t work either as there are different departments tasked with different things- in this case the Art department
