  I really don't think the dev's have confirmed this but I really hope so.

  I read somewhere that they’re gonna change the survivors portraits but I’m not sure if that’s true.

  Seeing as they are characters, just not as fleshed out as the regular ones, i'd say it's highly likely we'll have avatars of them.
