So. About that PS4 DBD Silent Hill Theme
Why is it only available in a bundle for people who do not already own DBD on PS4?
My BF is a huge fan of Silent Hill and is a little upset that, if we were willing, we'd have to spent $67(CAD) on a bundle that includes the base game and 2 DLCs that we already own just to get this Theme.
I'm just curious as to why the theme isn't available to players who don't want to re-buy the game, DLC they already own, and/or get cosmetics they aren't interested in. Probably was a Konami decision.
We'd love to get it since its, like, the only Silent Hill theme on the PS4 but currently that's just not going to happen. It all just feels kind of weird. Let me know if I am missing something.

Yes, this is disappointing. This should be available with the purchase of the expansion, not a new purchase of the entire game.

Wait they actually created a theme for the game and it's locked behind a paywall? Lame.
It's probably garbage anyways. Just slap on a jpg background, animate it so the camera pans left to right, then loop 30 seconds of their most annoying song and call it a day. That's how 90% of themes end up anyways.
PS4 needs some DBD avatars as well.

Oh wow, that is more effort than I was thinking. I was thinking it would just be a static image of PH from DBD with a black (or black+red) background and the title somewhere. It'd just be nice to have a Silent Hill Theme for fans who want the ability to select it, even if it is lazy/bad.

I'd like to actually see the theme. Most themes are total garbage, anyway. Still, garbage or not, it's total BS that people who already own DbD are screwed out of getting the theme. It should just come with the Silent Hill chapter.

Inb4 someone comes in "well then you could just buy the game then the chapter" yet thats about the same price as the silent hill bundle anyway so i 100% agree with this ive bought all the dlc and if its actually good this is horrible.

Wow, BHVR are pulling a super hard EA moment here. First they lock outfits to a single outfit or nothing, now they lock a theme behind a paywall that many don't even need since we OWN THE GAME! Why was the theme not included in the SH Chapter? I'm actually losing all faith in the game right now. SH is one of my favourite franchises and would have loved this theme, but like hell am I forking out £40 for a theme and the outfits when I already paid pretty much the same price for the base game alone.

Most themes are trash and like someone else said, they get super repetitive. Still dumb how they bundled it.

That sucks that people that own and have been playing the game can't get the theme unless they rebuy it. Would think they'd want to reward the people that have been supporting them.

I'm also really disappointed by this. I'm not going to be wasting money on stuff I already own just for the sake of a theme. It should've been included in the DLC.

I was thinking the same thing. It’s BS to we have to pay $50 just for a theme. Most of us here own the game and the DLCs. It better be a damn good theme for me to even think about dropping $50 on it.

I actually just bought it, I received DBD for free when it was a free game of the month for ps4 and have recently started getting into the game because of this chapter and have purchased no prior DLC. This price is actually great for starters, I get two bonus DLCs along with the initial purchase. Shattered bloodlines and Curtain Call, so I get the clown, Spirit, Kate and I forget the survivors name for the spirit lol. Along with triangle face and Cher Cher. The theme plays the silent hill remix of the DBD them whilst alternating between two slightly animated pics of pyramid head and Cheryl. Sorry for the bad pics, didn’t feel like screenshots lol.

Dang, I'd like to have that theme.
It's so not cool that it doesn't come with the Silent Hill DLC pack. I don't like when companies give rewards to new players that aren't available to loyal customers. And no, paying an extra $50 for a game and DLC I've already bought does not count as it being "available."

check the store, friend. I think you get the Saw chapter and maybe another one free as well (it's there for no charge but you have to "purchase" it and download it.

I was disappointed, they should've offered us to upgrade to this edition if we own the previous one for a discounted price. Alternatively it doesn't say "exclusive" so the theme could be sold.

I've had The Order:1886 Theme since I've had my PS4.
To me, it's the best Theme I've ever seen.

Which one? I have a few of them. I agree great theme and music, I lean towards the themes with the blue PSN backgound. I really dislike the mustard, gray, mint, etc. I can deal with purple but love the darker blue.

The Zeppelin's flying in the background, the houses with the smoke coming out of the Chimney's.
"The Knight's Theme" playing in the background. I agree though, I HAAAATE stand still JPEG pictures and music in the background.

You should look at the other dynamic themes from The Order: 1886. Some really nice ones. One of the best is Firewatch dynamic theme. Look that up, gorgeous but I do dislike the default background when you're in the deeper menus.

It actually does! Just the menu scrolling plips and plops but it’s a familiar sound from the game. Probs my favorite theme on the ps4 the only one that comes second would be the classroom theme from Deracine.

Also it must be said, every time I launch the game it no longer plays the basic Trapper cinematic. It now plays the silent hill teaser trailer. Since I haven’t been with this game for the launch of every killer, is this a common thing or is it because I own the Silent hill edition of the game now?

Seriously. The only reason I bought the bundle was because it came with a theme. Why couldn’t I have just gotten the game and then bought the chapter and get the theme??

It's so stupid. I own all of the DLC myself and I'm not going to blow an extra $50 for a PS4 theme. They should make the theme only available for purchase.
