Please don’t overuse cosmetic sets!
Please I’m begging you BHVR don’t go overboard with the cosmetic sets. One of my favorite aspects of DBD cosmetics is the whole customization part, being able to mix and match what head, torso and legs I want to wear. It gives an extra dynamic to cosmetics and makes each skin feel that much more unique. It would really kill my desire to buy cosmetics if most of them become sets that you cannot customize so I’m really hoping that these sets stay as a rare occurrence for super special skins.

I would assume it has something to do with the license holder agreement for the cosmetics for cheryl. Aside from legendary skins which change the character as a whole, i don't think other skins will follow the same suit of forced matching set, unless it's a strict licensed agreement.

It makes complete sense for Legendary skins, but there's just no excuse for normal skins otherwise. Unless the reason is if it's Konami's order. In that case, guess there's not much BHVR could do.

There’s a new Nea skin that was on leaks by daylight which is also confirmed to be a set. It looks really cool which makes it disappointing that you won’t be able to mix and match.

Yeah that would be super lame

I dont see why konami would have a problem with using individual pieces of these cosmetics for her...
But be completely ok with these cosmetics being sold and used individually

Im kind of bummed I want just part of the legion bunny too

The new Legion cosmetics are locked.

They did it with the rabbit suits on legion

I wouldn’t hold your breath. Every patch there are issues with cosmetics clipping, having seams, disappearing, and overall not working properly together. This is probably their solution: skins that can be pumped out faster because they don’t have to be designed to interact with other skins.

I feel like you might be right unfortunately. If they stop doing individual pieces then I probably won’t be buying any new cosmetics. It would either have to be a really good David skin or something but this is just super disappointing for me.

Exactly. I don't understand it for Legion either tbh. The reason Mr Puddles was soo good was because we could put this silly elephant head on other clown cosmetics. Santa elephant ffs lol

thats because they're based on Robbie the rabbit from Silent Hill. i didnt know that either until a friend pointed it out to me

That's still an outfit from Silent Hill, so not BHVRs property.

And those outfits are from Silent Hill aka licensed cosmetics, even if it is on an original character.

Ah, makes sense then. If all licensed cosmetics are going to be locked hope they keep them to licensed characters after this. Nice thing about the original characters has been the freedom to mess around with their cosmetics.

I think it would be cool for dresses and hoodies as 2-piece sets, were you can still mix and match the third part, and that’s how they should have implemented Bunny Feng hoodie

Can you show me the Nea outfit? Couldnt find it.

I don't see what the hell Konami's problem has been over the past 6 years dude.

As you can see it will be a locked set. Head torso and legs all connected

sheeet ty. Looks awesome.

Nea needs a gas mask because of how toxic she is, lol.

The Rabbit head kinda kills it for me. One nice thing about playing Legion was because theyre a shorter killer, they cant be seen over some of the shorter loops. The rabbit head though makes em as tall as Plague, lol.

Gonna bump this thread because it seems that this is the new direction they're going in with the new Jeff set coming out.
Really sad because I don't think a single person asked for this and it's honestly extremely lazy for the amount of money players spend on the game, characters, rift passes, and cosmetics.

Nah fam I'm loving this new nea skin, the best one in the store imo

The Jeff outfit isn't a set though. You can buy the pieces separately.

The nea set is not licensed, yet is still locked.

I'm not denying that it doesn't look good, it's the fact that they require you to buy the whole set instead of pieces.
This game seems to be turning more and more into a cash grab and I personally don't like the direction that's going.
I mean come on $15 for a skin that doesn't even say a different name or have a different voice actor when you use it?

i thiink this about the release of that nea skin.

It's honestly big brain from the company. Pay the same amount, but for less value.

Here in the real world, we call that a "scam".

I think a set here and there doesn't hurt, maybe we can get better dresses now. Also Nea's outfit would clip terribly if it were unlocked (the head is obvi fine to put on other outfits though)

Jane has a dress set outfit coming next patch. It looks cute. My biggest fear is not being able to use/change the head if I dont/do like it. That's what's going to make me mad.
