Autodidact
So at full stacks it heals 50% (15x5=75, minus 25) IF you get a skillcheck? Why would ever run this over We'll Make It now? Where you can always heal twice as fast when it matters instead?
Seriously devs, #########? Who was complaining about Autodidact during the the PTB?

Most people complained about Autodidact being to situational or to much of a Loose Cannon in fact. It didnt need a nerf.6

Exactly. I was looking forward to it because it was interesting once you got up a few stacks. Now it's strictly worse than WMI unless you have a few stacks and and two skill checks pop up.Strictly worse? How do you figure? WMI provides a higher, but temporary buff. Autodidact is permanent.

Couldn't it work with wmi? Or it doesn't stack effects?0

It's not often I find Survivors who were left injuried and not on a hook. Also WMI lasts for ages after an unhook. I'll still try Autodidact out, but they think they went a little too far on the nerf.Lasts for 90 seconds. However, since both perks are situational, you do well to pick whichever you feel is best given your average trials.

Autodidact will still be a hard counter to stuff like Coulrophobia and Sloppy Butcher.

I knew the perk was ######### when I used it today as I was healing someone and I saw the killer coming for us and I got no skill checks until I was 90%, then Autodidact took effect and took me down to 70% and got my teammate killed. I was like GG im using We'll Make It next time.

I don't think so. It is a dead perk right know. People won't use any of Adam's perks in a couple of days.
Survivors have not been getting good perks for a while now.

There's literally no reason to run this perk over WMI for team healing. Or BotanyK for a flat permanent increase.

I'm not sure if Autodidact is worth it yet, but each perk has its pros and cons. Of the three Botany is definitely the weakest and Autodidact is the most situational.
I just healed someone and got 4 skill checks in that one heal.0 -

If they double healing times (just a random number, I don't know what they're actually planning), Sloppy Butcher would make healing someone else take around 30 seconds. Botany would knock off 6 seconds or so, but Autodidact could finish off 15 seconds worth of healing in a single skillcheck.0 -
Looking forward to it, almost never get unhooks and frequently find teammates injured so it fits my play style.0

Botany is a speed increase, Autodidact adds instant progress. They're two different things. Botany makes healing others about 2.4 seconds faster. Autodidact could possibly complete a heal in about 3-4 seconds. It doesn't rely on you needing to be the one to unhook like WMI.

It's a little bit too situational. RNG will def screw you over more than it's worth. Maybe in a SWF-situation, where you can be the dedicated healer or something. I don't know. But I heal my teammates maybe 2-4 times in a solo game, depending on how thirsty the other players are for saving and healing. I would definitely take it if it applied to self care though.

Botany knowledge not only about healing speed, btw. I like this perk, cuz I usually combine it with selfcare and any medkit, to make my medkit 40% efficient.

autodidact needs to be great again i mean it wasnt even OP it was good i was happy when i saw on the PTB this perk and now its crap Make Autodidact Great Again

This was indeed a really silly nerf. If you think relying on the mere chance of a quick boost to healing rather is better than the flat rapid increase of WMI, you're crazy. Right after unhooking is the most common time you need to heal anyone quickly anyway. The situations in which it even has the potential to be useful are stupidly narrow (i.e trying to heal when the killer is coming straight towards you).

Tbh, skill checks are RNG. Sometimes I didn't even get a one skill check while healing someone
