Steve was a mistake.
I know lots of you may be angry at the title but if you let me explain.
If I read the lore properly the entity just tried to take Nancy but she called Steve into this mess.
So he just kind of saw what was happening and the entity was like “this guy is cool as well I guess” and just took him with her.
And that’s also why in the character loading screen shes before him. She arrived like 30 seconds before him?
Or am I once again wrong about Dead By Daylight Lore?

Well going by this Spirit/Rin was also mistake. The Entity wanted her father but saw more potential in her revenge wishes and rage.

The Entity has been shown to take the group of people at different times.
Look at the Legion for example you know the part of their law that wasn't completely retconed.
The Entity had taken Frank first after he wandered off to go see what was going on and it only took Julie Susie and Joey after they finished digging and went to go look for where Frank went.

Op, I think The Entity just yeeted Steve along for the ride, like he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. We know that's what happened with Claudette and Bennedict Baker and most other survivors.

I know some get worried when they see a Bill, but I'm much more nervous about my chances of survival when steve is around.
Steve in a sailor suit might as well be the killer's henchmen..

I mean, you're not wrong lorewise, but I'd argue that he shouldn't be in the game period.
The Stranger Things DLC should have been JUST Nancy or JUST Steve, not both. And I'm saying this as someone who prefers Steve over Nancy (in game, still haven't seen the show). But Nancy has actual good perks, Steve doesn't.
And no, I'm definitely not saying this because it set up an imbalance in Killer to Survivor ratio that now has 2 more Survivors than Killers rather than the 1 that Bill had and my OCD can't rest easy until they bring in another Killer paragraph that will be very unlikely due to how absurd queue times will be. That's not the reason at all.
