Is Doggy weak?
I've been having absolutely no luck playing as Demogorgon. I got him a few days ago and he just feels so underwhelming.
So far I like that he can shred, which allows me to down survivors even if they have a huge headstart on me. The portals give you the ability to sneak up on survivors and get ahead of them if they're headed towards a safe building. His power let's me see survivors kind of close to the portal.
I don't like that he feels like an m1/RT killer. Survivors just run away if they hear him teleport, he doesn't offer any versatility from what I can tell. Am I playing him wrong?
I also want to say that even playing as survivor against the majority of Demogorgons feels about as easy as a baby Nurse.

Here is a guide by Bronx on how to play demo, a pretty big brain demo main. Give it a watch since it's actually really helpful and the tips do work, I can confirm.

This was very informative thank you

Solid guide, I think he’s pretty low on the “tiers,” though. Most likely someone who 4ks as him could 4k as almost any killer

No worries man
Demo boy is strong in the right hands, it's just learning how he works that takes a while. Personally I enjoy him, but I wouldn't main him (daddy Pyramid head here I come though).

Demo is actually really good at shutting down loops and zoning survivors. I'd say it's pretty decent as a killer.

Oh no he's stronger, I just like PH more tbh. I have a thing for maining weak killers (then they get buffed and I become happy).

Lol I main Wraith, Freddy & Doc and did so ages ago. Then Freddy got reworked and Doc got his superbuff, so cmon bhvr where's the Wraith rework that brings me joy?
Sounds working though? Great joke.

I learned a lot in that vid, I might invest some BP and give him another shot.

Several streamers consider him top tier. I often feel a killer is bad during my learning curve with that killer. For example, I feel competitive with Legion. It takes time, understanding, and strong perks.

Demo with Rat Liver is insane.
It's amazing that it's just a common!

This is the most civil thread I've read on here. Player asks for advice, player gets advice, people politely offer their opinion, make jokes and have a laugh about a game we all enjoy.
I'm deeply confused.

Demo is solidly B tier.
His portals have great utility outside of travel. They can be used to hide your terror radius for a short time. If survivors are rescuing off hooks immediately after you teleport away, teleport 10 feet away and immediately run back to the hook with no terror radius. You can also pretend to drop chase but teleport a very short distance and re-engage without a terror radius for a cheeky hit.
Shred is a great zoning tool even if you don't actually use it. Just the threat alone will cause survivor to take poor pathing or bail on strong vaults/pallets. But Shred will also get you downs when you get used to the timing and angles. Similar to Billy's chainsaw, you can briefly "rev" it to bait the survivor into greeding an additional loop, which will allow you to get the angle to hit a Shred on the next revolution.
Lastly on the portals, they are an incredible tracking tool for gens when they're active. Demo always has a 4 gen setup regardless of the map because of the number of portals and short teleport recovery time. You will always know which gen is being worked on mid-late game when you press M2.
So why is he B tier? High level players will play super safe and you'll be a glorified pallet muncher with good map control. Demo really struggles to get downs against the best players. Efficient survivors on generators will always, always, always outpace pallet count.
